I was pretty excited to try this place. The burrito sizes seem like a decent size and they give you plenty of sauce. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are tucked away in a small place and staff is friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a potato, egg, and cheese burrito but for some reason they put an over abundance amount of onions. It kinda ruined my burrito. I'm willing to go back to try again. My husband did enjoy his burrito.

Wow I just found a favorite breakfast spot and I can't wait to try King's for lunch. Fast friendly service with a good variety of vegetarian options for those of us that are trying to cut back on meat. I had a dish I never saw before: Heuvos Mexicana which was delicious. I got the potatoes and they were so crisp!! Mixed with onions and peppers which were cooked perfectly. Epic meal! The wife picked the spinach breakfast burrito and it was really loaded with spinach and chucked full of avocado too. There were two sauces that came with our meals, one green creamy sauce and a reddish creamy sauce and I enjoyed the red one more than the green one. Parking lot in front serves several stores, there is parking around the back of the building.

King's will want you craving a burger daily. I've been here several times and each time the staff is super friendly. My family and I went recently and ordered the Smash Burger. It literally is the best burger in Pasadena. No lie. Just try it. I haven't had breakfast but I'm sure it's equally as great.

One extra star for opening early and friendly service. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito here. Loved the hot sauces. I have had the Birria ramen and chili cheese fries here a long time ago too and they were decent. The only item I didn't like was the mushroom Swiss burger. It came cold and without the mushrooms.

Hello, I stopped at this place today, it was my first time coming here, this is the place as all the firemen and sheriffs and Highway patrol officers come here. They have a large selection of burgers and burritos and sandwiches. I ordered the BLT and an order of onion rings, they give large portions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the place to eat at and there is seating inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place has several people working there to prepare the food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is kept clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend this place to others.

May seem plain, but a tasty egg and cheese breakfast burrito

I will break this review into two categories. Food: My breakfast burrito was a strong, solid 3. It was a deceptive egg and cheese burrito, one that is about $11.00. When it appeared, I thought "That's it?" However, it ended up filling me up and being just the right amount for a quick breakfast. Though my burrito was simply egg and cheese, the contents were well cooked, hot, and the cheese was perfectly melted. Would return for a quick breakfast (if I didn't live in Sacramento). Service: This is what pushed a solid 3 into a 4 rating. The cashier (owner?) was welcoming, straight and to the point. They actually made me burrito incorrectly at first, but he apologized and quickly got a new one cooking. Don't know how the burgers are, but as I previously mentioned, if i lived here, I could definitely see myself coming here a couple of times a week for a tasty breakfast burrito

One of my favorite spots for breakfast burritos and a classic burger. Soo good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great service and great vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My friends and I were in town, and wanted to support a local economy that needed support. I hopped onto Yelp, and KING'S popped up. It was close enough, so, off we went. We perused the QR Menu before ordering, so we knew what we wanted ahead of time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is a small, but, cozy burger & burrito(seafood, too) spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Noise level is typical restaurant level, so, it wasn't too noisy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was fast, considering there were 9 of us. We all got our orders within minutes of ordering. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger combo, but I subbed the fries for the fried zucchini. The burger was delicious, and juicy, and the cheese was melted perfectly. The fried zucchini was piping hot(I nearly burned my tongue), but very good once it had a chance to cool down. For a drink, I ordered a cucumber lemonade, which was balanced perfectly, in terms of taste. Neither the lemon, nor the cucumber dominated the flavor. All in all, this was a great choice! Great service, and great food! If you're in town, give this place a go, and pour some much-needed money into the local economy!

I had no idea this tiny place existed. My husband found this place searching breakfast places one day. I'm glad he found this little gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place maybe has 10 tables inside and a few places to sit outside, so arriving at a good time is key.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's definitely busy, waited outside in a line to order, but luckily found a table pretty quick. Ordering is done at the register and they bring your drinks and food to you. They have several different combinations of breakfast burritos to choose from. I decided on their most popular burrito, it's called the one. It basically has everything under the sun in it. Andouille sausage, bacon, potatoes, cheese, eggs. It was so good and super filling. The salsa's which I would have to assume are house made are super good and some were spicy. The coffee was on point too. The staff is extra helpful and nice. I love that I found this place. I have to say this place is better than Lucky Boy. If you want to get your breakfast burrito fix, come here.

The parking lot behind is validated for 90 minutes if you eat here which is a good addition. The restaurant looks very nice in the inside and is a great place to sit down to talk with others. Now onto the service, the service is very good, the waitress always had a smile on her face and the staff are incredibly quick. The food came out at a decent time so we didn't have to wait long for it and the coffee is served almost instantly after ordering it. Onto the food, the chicken steak with 2 eggs (3/5) was alright, hard to describe how it tastes like but it doesn't taste bad. I feel as if the first half of eating it would be pleasant but then after that, the taste of it gets tiring. The egg was perfectly cooked to how I asked (sunny side up), yolk was perfectly runny and beautiful. The hash browns are tasty and crispy. The English muffin was so good and buttered nicely, my dad even wanted to order one to go just so my mother could try it. That's some commitment. I always order the Special Spuds (4.5/5), it is my favorite. The avocado is fresh and they give such a generous amount of sour cream. It does have a lot of cheese and oil so if you're going in the morning for light brunch, you probably want to order something else because I couldn't even eat half of it and I was stuffed. The Belgian waffle is so light and delicious (4/5). The cream on top of it is salty and honestly pairs so well with the syrup. It gives it such a more sophisticated taste. Tastes pretty good to me but if you're going for a crispy and more crunchy waffle, this isn't the one for you.

Had this bookmarked & noticed that a few Yelp Friends have left their reviews on here. It looks like that hometown feel type of shop but the experience today was NOT that. Service was polite but not quite that welcoming that you would feel at a mom n pops shop. It's too bad coz if it were, we would frequent this diner/cafe. Most places that we're regulars at, we feel valued as patrons and are welcomed like family. I find less and less places have this kind of atmosphere. We ordered breakfast staples; Hubby ordered a machaca combo with flour tortillas & black beans, I opted for the (2 large!) banana walnut pancakes combo with chicken apple sausage, potatoes & over medium eggs. Our food arrived timely, hot and good presentation. Hubby said the machaca was decent because having had his fair share of machaca, these passed. My pancakes were huge! Flavor was good, as the banana slices & walnuts were cooked in, not just placed on top like most places. Macadamias would've been a better pairing though. The chicken apple sausage was flavorful & eggs were cooked as requested. Noise level was somewhat loud with all the clanging as tables were cleaned/bussed around us. Overall a decent experience for our first time visit, as mentioned, if the service was more thoughtful & welcoming, it would've made the difference from a 3 star to perhaps a 4 or a 5 star. Food for thought.

When the host at the front, who was managing the waitlist, told us our table was getting cleaned, she pointed to a specific table that was being cleaned by the busboys. Shortly afterward, I saw a customer approached the staff, and they seated him at the same table we had just been told was ours. I immediately asked the manager what was going on. The manager told me that the host had "said it wrong" and that the other customer had a reservation. I understand that reservations need to be honored, but then why were we told that this particular table was ours after we had already waited 90 minutes? We had given our name, followed the waitlist process, and patiently waited. If there was a reservation for that table, the staff should have known and communicated that clearly. The next available table could have been given to the reservation party. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was the manager's attitude toward us compared with his attitude toward the other party. We had done nothing wrong. We were understandably unhappy because someone else was seated at the table we had just been promised. Since the confusion was caused by the restaurant, we would have appreciated at least a meaningful "I'm sorry." Instead, the manager seemed annoyed when speaking with us (think about a cold tone voice and side eyeing). At the same time, he was smiling and friendly toward the other party. The difference in attitude was very noticeable and left us feeling like we were not being treated fairly or equally. This was especially uncomfortable with the difference in our ethnicity and the other party. I cannot say for certain that race was the reason for what happened, but the combination of being passed over for a table we were told was ours, and then seeing the manager treat the other party so differently made it very difficult not to question. I hope the restaurant reviews how its hosts and managers handle situations like this, because customers deserve to be treated consistently and respectfully.

The Reyn is a popular breakfast spot in Pasadena and a place I still visit from time to time,…read moreusually when meeting friends or colleagues. Despite its popularity, I find the food to be fairly average. Much of it tastes like it's made from standard commercial food-service ingredients rather than prepared fresh. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable, the dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is generally attentive. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood breakfast restaurant - nothing particularly memorable, but nothing especially disappointing either. The Reyn Special - 3/5. A classic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and banana bread. The eggs and bacon are fairly average, although the bacon tends to be overcooked and dry. The standout is the hash browns. They're cooked with a nicely browned, crispy crust while still remaining fairly moist inside. The real highlight, however, is the banana bread. It tastes homemade and is easily the best item on the plate. Crepes - 1/5. This dish comes as two separate plates: one with the ricotta-filled crepes and another with eggs, sausage, bacon, and your choice of fries or tater tots. Unfortunately, the crepes are the weakest part of the meal. The ricotta-filled crepes don't taste freshly made and instead resemble a pre-made food-service product that's simply reheated before serving. Both the crepe and ricotta filling have a generic flavor with noticeable artificial notes. You can choose either banana or strawberry topping, but both sauces taste overly processed and artificial. The accompanying breakfast plate is noticeably better. I chose the tater tots, which were well prepared - crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside. The bacon, however, was again overcooked and dry, making it tough to chew. The sausage was acceptable but unremarkable. Scrambled Supreme - 2.5/5. Despite the name, this is essentially an omelet. The eggs have a mild, neutral flavor, and the fillings are okay but don't stand out. Coffee - 2/5. The coffee is classic diner coffee in every sense. It's somewhat watery, heavily roasted, and finishes with a flat, slightly bitter aftertaste. It's neither particularly good nor particularly bad - just standard coffee that does the job. Overall, The Reyn succeeds as a comfortable, affordable breakfast spot with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. While the food is average, and several dishes rely on ingredients that taste commercially prepared rather than freshly made.

Yesterday evening I met a friend I haven't seen in a while for dinner and we chose to do the Dine…read moreLA menu. I had never been to Bone Kettle and didn't know what to expect, but wow the service was impeccable! Our waters were kept full, and waiters were swift to clear empty plates or wipe the table before placing the next courses down! The ambiance is lightly dimmed and intimate and very spacious both indoor and outdoors seating. To begin I had the malaria corn riblets and silly me I tried to eat it with a chopsticks and biting right through it. LOL. When I realized the cob is there I ended up using my hands to eat it and I did feel like I'm in a nice restaurant but using my hands felt a bit weird but that's OK, it was absolutely delicious, the corn was easily pulled off the cob and the aoli had a very rich flavor. To drink we were offered the $25 surprise option which was between white or red wine and we chose the red. Our surprise wine was the Abondanza red and paired absolutely perfectly with the meal. For the second course my friend and I both chose the Nasi Udok and boy were we happily smelling the scent of the food and digging right in. Those braised eggs had an amazing taste accented by whatever the sauce was on top I've never had an egg like this. The Cornish hen was lightly crunchy on the outside and nice and hot and juicy on the inside. Absolutely delicious paired with the rice which had this aromatic ginger smell and taste too me that just complemented everything so well. For the last course was dessert and we got the Panna cotta. This is not your average Panna Cotta, no it's amazing. The cheesy base sits in a pool of sauce and little green tid bits that my friend and I can't guess what they are. Instead of being a sweet sweet dessert, the Panna Cotta was a sweet savory dish. I loved the variation and I savored every bite. Definitely a very delicious and amazing experience that I recommend next time you're in the area!

The famed Bone and Kettle lived up to its reputation!…read more Dine LA was the perfect excuse to finally try out this spot! We stopped by for brunch and sampled quite a few dishes off their menu. Our spread included the Spicy Papaya Salad, Salted Egg Crispy Shrimp, Bone Kettle Bone Broth & Noodles with Braised Oxtail, Duck & Pandan Waffles, and Island Rice Plate. Most of these were recs from our server! Everything was delish! Loved seeing Southeast Asian flavors getting spotlighted in such tasteful ways. Their Bone Broth was insane- definitely have mastered their craft here and lived up to their name. You get to pick your protein (we went with the Braised Oxtail- highly recommend) and it comes with a side of noodles. Perfectly shareable or enjoyed solo. Like I said, you really can't go wrong with so many hits on the menu, but definitely give their bone broth a sip!
