We were looking for something quick and delicious to eat between our two escape rooms on a Saturday, and my wife found Kings on the Yelps. The photos of the food did not sell it to me, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the food looked amazing in person. We saw neighboring tables have steamed hams, burritos, and chili cheese fries, and everything looked and smelled fantastic! I'm not a quesadilla guy, but the birria quesadilla is solid! It comes with a green and an orange dipping sauce. We found the orange a bit sweet, but the green one was great! We also got the mango habanero shrimp ceviche. When they tell you it's spicy, take heed. It was legit spicy and had me sweating and pooping fire! My mistake was eating spoonfuls of it and not having it with chips. There are a few tables within and outside of the restaurant. Ordering is quick and easy at the counter, and the food is made freshly. It was quick and delicious! Daughters split a pancake breakfast. The pancakes had cinnamon and nutmeg or something! SO good! Not too much though, just enough to give it a little oomph. I had the western bacon cheeseburger and OMG. It was delectable. Exactly what I was hoping it would be. There was a tiny peppery kick in the sauce the served on the side. The fries were seasoned nicely and w the little fountain soda ... it was *chefs kiss* Husband had bacon & eggs breakfast plate with house potatoes and he said it was super good especially with the green salsa they served on the side. Wow I just found a favorite breakfast spot and I can't wait to try King's for lunch. Fast friendly service with a good variety of vegetarian options for those of us that are trying to cut back on meat. I had a dish I never saw before: Heuvos Mexicana which was delicious. I got the potatoes and they were so crisp!! Mixed with onions and peppers which were cooked perfectly. Epic meal! The wife picked the spinach breakfast burrito and it was really loaded with spinach and chucked full of avocado too. There were two sauces that came with our meals, one green creamy sauce and a reddish creamy sauce and I enjoyed the red one more than the green one. I will break this review into two categories. Food: My breakfast burrito was a strong, solid 3. It was a deceptive egg and cheese burrito, one that is about $11.00. When it appeared, I thought "That's it?" However, it ended up filling me up and being just the right amount for a quick breakfast. Though my burrito was simply egg and cheese, the contents were well cooked, hot, and the cheese was perfectly melted. Would return for a quick breakfast (if I didn't live in Sacramento). Service: This is what pushed a solid 3 into a 4 rating. The cashier (owner?) was welcoming, straight and to the point. They actually made me burrito incorrectly at first, but he apologized and quickly got a new one cooking. My friends and I were in town, and wanted to support a local economy that needed support. I hopped onto Yelp, and KING'S popped up. It was close enough, so, off we went. We perused the QR Menu before ordering, so we knew what we wanted ahead of time. For a drink, I ordered a cucumber lemonade, which was balanced perfectly, in terms of taste. Neither the lemon, nor the cucumber dominated the flavor. All in all, this was a great choice! I had no idea this tiny place existed. My husband found this place searching breakfast places one day. I'm glad he found this little gem. I think this place served mainly Mexican food only for many years, but only recently had they put smashburgers on the menu. This, coupled with all the 5 star reviews and its proximity to home, got me here. Lots of dedicated parking on the outside, though it might be a little tight on busy days as it shares the lot with other businesses. Inside, it's small, with a few tables and seats and there's a small patio out front. So yes, they serve Mexican food here, but I came for the smashburger. There's two types: the classic and the special. The difference is that the special has their special sauce, and the other doesn't. Speaking of the special sauce, it's basically hamburger sauce that's got a tiny bit of heat. It's pretty good for dipping your fries as well. Prices are great. Around 14 bucks for a combo, which comes with the double patty burger, fries and a soda. Smashburger - 7/10: solid burger. Pickles, cheese and their special sauce. Double patty too, and it's flavorful, sandwiched between a potato bun. Reminds me a lot of a shake shack burger flavor wise. Not too big, not too small. Fries - 7/10: good scoop, very well seasoned. If you've had the fries at Connal's, that's basically what it is. Goes good with the special dipping sauce. I'd put this spot in the middle of the pack for your super crowded smash burger spots in the LA area. The price point is hard to beat, a great value that will have me coming back. read more

While I was disappointed in the time it took to get my burrito, the burrito itself made up for the time lost. It was fantastic and 5 stars. Came by for late breakfast/ early lunch after running some errands in the area and saw its great reviews and decided to stop by. Inside was quiet as we ordered and waited for food but more people came in right after us. We ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and chilaquiles with hashbrowns. Both were great, maybe a bit too many onion in the chilaquiles but still delicious. Very homey feel with fresh comfort food and friendly and quick service. I mean it was edible. First and foremost, my wife and I love breakfast burritos and it takes a lot to make us unhappy. My burrito was "the one" and it was alright. Its strengths were the super crispy beautiful bacon and the sausage was very pleasant. I think the eggs were dry, the cheese was purely visual, the tortilla was falling apart, the tater tots I think are an interesting choice given the grease factor in and already greasy burrito, and the chorizo I added was nowhere to be found. My wife ordered the chorizo burrito and that was inedible. From the dry eggs and the chorizo with no taste, we were thoroughly disappointed. All fixable and tbh, it's a Wednesday so it might have been a bad day or training day for someone. Either way, these people fed first responders during the fires and that is amazing. read more
