Came here with my best friend with our two Australian Cattle Dogs on a beautiful Sunday morning. We decided to walk our dogs and grab a coffee because I wanted to get a stamp on my Pasadena Coffee Passport, and this coffee shop is one of the coffee place listed in the passport. So I've passed by this spot a few times and was intrigued when I saw they have those mini donut machines. Finally dropped by on a day off. I usually park at the lot where the Ross is and walk over but there is some street parking if it's not too busy. I sadly didn't have the best first time experience here. When I first got there, 2 other customers were waiting and there was no one behind the counter. After a good 5-10 minutes I just asked them if there was an employee in the back or something. One of the customers said she thought they were in the bathroom. First of all, not great to only staff 1 person to a shift but also if you are the only person working you may want to consider putting up a sign saying that you're away but will be back in "x" amount of time. I very nearly left to go somewhere else when the employee emerged from the bathroom. I ended up ordering their "Happy Nut" which was a pistachio latte with almond and macadamia milk. I didn't really taste the pistachio and sweetness level was a little too light for my taste. I also got one of their maple bacon premade donuts which was $3.50, a little pricey for the size as it was prob half the size of a typical donut. I prob should've tried their fresh mini donuts which were $5 for 6. The donut was good but nothing special. Overall this spot is just ok when it comes to coffee and donuts which if it's in your name I expect better quality. But the initial service or lack of prob sealed the deal that this is a one and done. Cute little coffee shop that's walking distance from where I live. It's dog friendly, which is a plus if you want to do a quick run with your furry little mini me. They do $2 lattes before 9am which is insane - happened across this when I stopped by at 8am for a pick me up. I will say that the latte I got was decent but very milk heavy, so the caffeine did close to nothing for me. Might have been an off day/off person. Regardless, with a a big smile, the cashier took our order and cranked out drinks as efficiently as I have ever seen. This replaced the old Starbucks and I feel they are trying to establish a mark in the coffee game being surrounded by the dozens of coffee shops in stones throw. When I first saw the name of this store I didn't think much of it but the husband wanted to try. I am pleasantly surprised. In Sundays you'll find free street parking. We tried half a dozen of the sugared donuts along with the dirty abuelita. The cups have googly eyes that are funny and cute. The donuts are freshly made and you can see the machine making it. #150 in my Coffeeshop Chronicles. Service was exceptional. The barista who assisted me was incredibly friendly, and I appreciated how she took the time to give me a rundown of the entire menu. She also helped me decide when I couldn't narrow down my selection. Ultimately, I ordered a half dozen of their mini donuts ($5). When I asked about the cinnamon sugar versus strawberry, the employee offered to do three of each so I could try both. To be honest, I didn't love the donuts, but I'm also not a donut fan in general. The drinks, however, were excellent. I ordered the Heartbreaker from their seasonal Valentine's menu. The drink was a vanilla chai with raspberry, and it was fabulous, so much so that I downed it in seconds. I also tried the honey bunches latte (honey vanilla) from their signature menu - a solid choice. They use monin syrups and have nearly every monin flavor you could think of to produce the most creative craft coffees. Got a medium roast small cup of coffee! It was good and not acidic. The environment is very inviting and there are a good amount of seats. Didn't have an opportunity to try the donuts yet but they are made freshly in front of you at the cashier counter. Came here around 9am on a Sunday and there was no line. We ordered mini cinnamon sugar doughnuts and two coffee drinks. We asked for popular drinks and the barista recommended the pistachio cream dubai chocolate latte and the honey bunches. We were excited for the dubai chocolate latte but it was a let down. Surprised that its popular because the syrups they are probably using to make this drink don't taste good. It really just tasted like I was drinking a super sweet black forest cherry cake in liquid form and we didnt finish this. Had to toss it. Honey bunches was so much better but not by alot. Coffee here is very weak and just okay. So much syrups are used here and it lead to alot of the flavors tasting way too artificial. Doughnuts were good but super cold and would have been better fresh/hot out the oven. Not worth coming back to as there is super limited parking as well. read more

I came two days in a row and they were wilting like crazy and when I told the employee, she just went "yeah." and walked away LOL. It felt kinda rude. Staff is usually nice though. DRINKS My girlfriend and I tried their specialty drinks- the Adam's Family and Shaken Teddy. The Shaken Teddy tasted soooo bitter and gross we couldn't drink it. We ordered another set of drinks because we didn't like them- we ordered the Strawberry Lemonade and Hot Mocha. The mocha I've had before and I can say it's really good so it's a drink I can confidently order. The Strawberry Lemonade wasn't anything to write home about according to my girlfriend. She was looking forward to the real strawberry pieces they were supposed to put in it, but they were nowhere to be found... There are seriously so many drinks available here, they need to have some sort of handout with descriptions or a more descriptive menu. Otherwise it's so awkward asking what's in what with so many specialty drinks listed on their menu. Only way to read descriptions is on their app, which obviously someone's not going to have when they're a first time customer. FOOD Other than the donuts, I think the food is just something they get from a supplier so none of it looks... super nice.... LOL. It all looks kinda prepackaged imo. The burritos are okay but can come out cold in the middle sometimes. Their donuts are freshly made though and I'd definitely recommend them! You can get them with various coatings but my favorite is the cinnamon sugar. On Fridays they make chocolate donuts so that's a fun treat if you have time to stop by that day! SEATING Pretty chill place to work or hang out overall. There's seating inside which is more peaceful than outside since this place is located on a busy street corner which can get loud, and sometimes some aggressive people who shout walk by which is a little scary. PARKING There's 3 designated parking spots in a nearby garage for their store. It says it requires validation but when we asked employees here, they just told us we'd be fine and so we didn't get validation. APP I downloaded their app so I could receive points which is a really cool feature since you can use them for discounts on your order! They also have descriptions of the drinks in the app which makes their huge menu less intimidating. Time estimate is usually 20 minutes so if I order in-app while I'm already in-store, I just let them know I'm here so they can prepare it a little faster. OVERALL Nice place but needs improvement. Most of their plants look really nice and well taken care of other than the occasional sad wilting pothos.... I recommend sticking to their more basic drinks and food is a hit or miss. Donuts are good for sure. I'll come back but avoid their food other than the donuts! If they could find a nicer supplier or partner with local bakers I think that'd really spruce up their food options :) Also need to add descriptions for their extensive drink menu. read more

First time here on a sunny & hot Saturday to meet a friend. I had no problem finding parking on Lake Ave. The inside was very clean with plenty of seats and the staff were very friendly. We ordered: Passion Fruit Lemonade 4/5 (a tad sweet and didn't like the chunks of fruit in it; Iced Black Raspberry Oat Milk latte 5/5; fresh made mini donuts 4/5 *We sat inside for about 30 minutes until my eyes could no longer bear the burning from the oil they used to fry the donuts. We moved outside which was much better:). Nice place to meet up with friends and sit for a while without being interrupted. *They do have restrooms in the hallway. We stopped by this former Starbucks location for a quick cup of coffee. Just 2 drip coffees and to try their mini-donuts. There was 1 person in line ahead of us. It took 20 minutes! The woman working (and it seemed like she was the only one) was really disorganized. Some one came in after us, and she stopped what she was doing (making the woman in front of us her Americano) to take the order. We had ordered 1 dark roast and 1 medium roast. She put them on the counter and called our name. When we asked which was which, she had no idea. The coffee was unexceptional. The little donuts were decent. We got cinnamon and sugar. I stop here almost every day on my way home from Pilates every specialty coffee I've tried is amazing and I love their horoscope menu (and I'm NOT a witch!) Coffee and donuts.. say less! Not even made about Nosy Neighbors replacing Starbucks. I had seen the sign while driving by before they opened. And then I started seeing all the buzz about their Grand Opening. Was sad that I couldn't make any of the events or free coffee/donuts give away days. But I had always planned on stopping in. Made some extra time on the way into the office. Got lucky with no line. Ordered my vanilla latte and powdered mini donuts and was on my way. First of all, I'm a sucker for googly eyes so I loved seeing eyes all over the shop and on the my coffee cup. The coffee was good. Nothing spectacular but I have had some terrible lattes from other locations. Happy to report Nosy Neighbors was tasty. The mini donuts however... yummy. Light and soft more like funnel cake than donuts. I will keep coming back for those delightful treats. It was hard to eat just a couple so that I could share. I was happy to see an option to order online. A sign was posted outside in the event the lines are crazy. Some indoor and outdoor seating is available. The only downside is that there is no parking. Stopped by on grand opening day to experience this nice little coffee shop on the corner of Green Street and Lake Avenue. Shop opened at 7:30 a.m. but there was already about 50 people lined up at around 7:10 a.m. I ordered the matcha latte and received about 8 small complimentary donuts (normally a half dozen is $4). As the first 50 customer of the day, we were given the opportunity to enter a raffle for free drink and donuts. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the different ingredients that goes in each drink. The matcha latte used honey as a sweetener and I opted for soy milk: perfectly light and flavorful that activated every one of my taste buds. The mini donuts were soft and you have the choice of powered sugar, cinnamon, strawberry or chocolate sugar peppered on top. I opted for the cinnamon and it was filling and delicious. Parking can be a challenge as there is no designated parking area but street parking is available. read more

This is the perfect location for the meaning of this coffee shop. Corner intersection with glass windows and a perfect bird's eye view of most everything going on. So sip back and relax and order one of their many interesting lattes. Oh yeah! They also have donuts that are baked on the daily. I ordered their mulberry latte and it was delicious and I kinda already expected that since I've been to their other location. Another drink we dabbled in was their passion fruit iced lemonade and this was definitely refreshing on a warm summers day. Overall the drinks were good and me and my coffee comrade were on satisfied status. Unfortunately no mug service available but with a super chic interior it really makes up for it. I have also tried their CBD coffee on the weekend, which was pretty interesting. The CBD doesn't taste amazing, but they do a good job of covering it up with flavoring. The sign for Nosy Neighbors had my curiosity peaked. Coffee & donuts - yes, please. I drove by on my way to the gym for weeks eagerly anticipating opening day. In celebration of their grand opening the first 50 customers received a free bag of donuts during a three-day promotion. As luck would have it, I was one of the lucky 50 on day three. Occupying the former Starbucks space, Nosy Neighbors specializes in creative lattes and freshly made mini donuts. They also serve specialty teas, lemonades, & Dirty sodas in addition to bagels, burritos, breakfast sandwiches, baked goods, cupcakes in a cup, & cute merchandise. The shop is quaint & cozy - with a nice little lounge area to sit and relax in. Outdoor seating is also available. There were a few people ahead of me when I arrived. It was fun to watch the mini donut machine in action. It can produce about 1,200 mini donuts an hour. A cheerful Sam greeted me when it was my turn. I ordered the Lucky Charms Latte and a bag of the mini donuts. Sam informed me that I was entitled to a free bag of minis. Yipee! She handed me a fresh bag of little gems to enjoy while I waited for my beverage. They were warm and tossed in cinnamon sugar. I took a bite, and it was delightful. The cinnamon sugar ratio was perfect and they were so light & pillowy that it was easy to pop one after another in your mouth and finish the whole bag without guilt. The Lucky Charms Latte was flavored with toasted marshmallow and raspberry syrup. The foam was rich & creamy and the flavor was dreamy & magically delicious. It was light on the sweetness and paired perfectly with the addictively yummy donuts. No doubt I'll be hitting this place up after my Saturday workout at the gym. I have been to this location multiple times and I have no complaints about the baristas, they are always so friendly and kind. The 3 star rating has nothing to do with them and everything to do with the owner deliberately choosing to not keep this place adequately staffed. This is a very busy location and the most employees I've ever seen working at one time is two (often only one person is taking orders, making donuts and making drinks all at the same time). For such a busy location, the understaffing is unacceptable and the owner of this place will lose business due to the wait times and general disorganization. I see many reviews referencing the long wait times - this an easy fix! Hire more people or the business will suffer! read more

This review is based on my experience of an attempt to try this spot out but didn't because of the following: Food - 1/5 Walking in the menu was very overwhelming. They seemed to have too many options and in some ways I feel like the name of this place is misleading. When looking at the menu it felt overwhelming. I can get into the details of that later in the ambience section. They seemed to have a wide selection of wraps and breakfast sandwiches but with a business name with the word "donuts" in it, you'd imagine they would have more donuts outside of mini donuts the size of something that would come out of a easy bake oven. Don't be fooled thinking there will be a wide selection of donuts. There won't be. Service - 2/5 The casher seemed to have an attitude before my friend and I even decided not to ordered anything We asked if there was a hangout that explains what's in their drinks and the cashier basically said their signature drinks were listed from most popular to least popular and then proceeded to list off 50 ingredients but I wasn't sure what ingredients were in each drink. Ambiance - 3/5 Overall the space seemed to be clean, have seating for people to chill or do some work, but nothing super special. Something that concerned me is that they seemed to have a POS system near one of the doors. Just to clarify that is not what concerned me, but it seemed to be signed into an employees account and someone could easily do something malicious. The menu was overwhelming but there was nothing that had descriptions of what is in their drinks except for the ones written on the wall and even that was super overwhelming. They had monthly drinks, horoscope drinks written out but their signature stuff was just listed out. All their drinks (lemonade, cold brew, teas) just were sitting out on the shelf behind the cashier. Not even refrigerated just chilling on a floating shelf behind the cashier. I don't think I'll come back. The cashier's attitude was bad, the open terminal by a main door (where there was a button called "customers" just makes me feel uncomfortable with what data might live in that, but the point being their POS just hanging out unattended feels weird. read more

I was in need of a coffee shop to study at and I'm so excited to have came across Nosy Neighbors. The barista that took my order was so kind and friendly. They took the time to explain to me the menu and help me decide on a drink. I love the interior and the abundance of natural light of the store. The seats are so comfortable to sit on! There are a few outlets in the corner if you plan to stay for awhile. The store is attached to the Wells Fargo bank but parking is still street parking.
