Cole slaw, pulled pork tacos, Brisket, baked beans. Oh my gosh.
    Suzanne B.

First time visit for my friends and me, and won't be the last. Everything was delicious: brisket was tasty and tender with a nice fat streak, pork burnt ends were beautifully crusted, pulled pork tacos were so so tasty, the cole slaw was a perfect crunchy accompaniment for the meat and not overdressed, the beans were only slightly sweet and partnered with bites of brisket, and the corn bread was almost dessert (but didn't last that long). Take someone to share with!

Food was solid. An appropriate level of smoke and salt, homemade sauces(I loved them all but the dark bbq). Sides were great. Coleslaw a great call from my cousin to cut the richness of everything else. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wouldn't say this is a date place, unless she's into bbq or you've been dating for over a year but definitely worth checking out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] FYI no beer.....which would have been nice.

The service was great, the food was incredible and we left happy and full. We will definitely be back this place was worth the 30 minute drive we took to try it.

The people are friendly and they serve up some exceptional food! It might take a few minutes longer, but it's because they are making your order when you come in....and it's worth the wait. The pork was flavorful and the Mac n Cheese was super creamy

Stopped there for dinner around 5 on a Thursday fast prompt service. Had the Springdale smasher with french fries, coleslaw, and mac & cheese. The smoke meat on the burger and the burger itself were phenomenal. The sides were all right. Fries were good mac & cheese and coleslaw Could use some work. My only real complain would be the sauces weren't that great. I expected a little better from a place with such great smoke meats. I'll definitely be back. And Definitely would recommend trying this place

Food is ribs fall right of the bones and the brisket was very meaty. Pull pork was very juicy. Variety of sauces makes the experience better. Will definitely come back for more.

This is now my favorite restaurant ever. Hands down the best burger/BBQ/Restaurant in Pittsburgh. I haven't had my dick kicked in like that from food in a long time. We went in at 7:20 at night and thank god they weren't sold out of any of the meats. The cashier, who was also so polite, told us they usually are but since it was Valentine's Day I assume it was a little slower [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside seating was limited but in the summer they have outdoor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food... I don't even know where to begin. The burgers were without question the best I will ever have for a long time. The bun was buttery, grilled with a nice crisp and able to not fall apart with these monstrous contraptions. The black and yellow was a double smash with brisket, fried onions, cheese and BBQ sauce. That brisket had a beautiful char on the outside and so juicy. The Springdale had every meat. Smash burger with brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. All paired for the perfect glutinous monster The fries weren't extra crispy and a soft inside with a good seasoning The ribs had that beautiful char and fell right off the bone. Nothing needed BBQ sauce. Everything was flowing with the juices I will be returning multiple upon multiple times and telling everyone about this place

There is a sign outside of this little spot that says 'Best BBQ in Town' and they are not lying! Our daughter who lives in the area took us here for dinner the other night and we were very satisfied! The service was friendly and attentive and our food was delicious. Between the four of us, we tried the brisket tacos, Pulled pork sandwiches and Brisket with sides of Mac and cheese, Fries and coleslaw. My brisket was tender, juicy and flavorful. Best side was easily the fries which ares seasoned perfectly. We ate there and were given extra bbq sauce when requested. They do takeout as well. Would highly recommend this spot.

This place was just absolutely amazing. It's such a hidden gem. One of the best BBQ spots in the area, in all of Pittsburgh honestly. Only other place that compares is Big Rigs. They have so many delicious items on the menu, so it was tough to choose. I ordered a variety of items, including the banana pudding, the quesadilla with pulled pork, and the baked beans with brisket. The baked beans were delicious, but a little bit pricey. I thought 12 oz would be a bit more than it actually was, but it was still very tasty. It had a slight hint of cinnamon to it. The beans were well made, well cooked, and had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The meat pieces were kind of small, and there weren't a ton of them, but I honestly prefer it like that. Some parts were a tad too fatty for me, but still very good. The quesadilla was insanely good. I got it with their ranch, BBQ sauce, and sour cream. The meat was tender and very tasty. Plenty of cheese in there. And, it was grilled to perfection, with a nice balance of all the ingredients. The sauces were all amazing too (sour cream was just sour cream). The ranch was creamy and flavorful, and the BBQ sauce had an interesting and unique taste to it. Almost like honey with a kick. Really good. However, only slight problem was that I didn't receive the banana pudding with my order. Still, everything else was so delicious that I'll let it slide and still give them 5 stars. Try this place out for sure!

    Carolina smasher

This week was my first time here based on a recommendation and I was so glad that I got to try the barbecue there. The Carolina smash burger was so good. I can't imagine there's anything that could be done to make it any better or more tasteful. The ribs were tender and excellent And the brisket sandwich was top notch. Their sauce is a little more smoky than sweet and I loved it and even the mac & cheese was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I only wish they were open all week long and that they had a bigger place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Smoked Ribs

The food and service were amazing. These are the best smoked ribs I've EVER had and the variety of sauces just took these to the next level.

The meats are smoked daily with a blend of hickory, cherry, and apple woods. Dining in, carry-out, delivery, and catering are available. So far, my husband and I have eaten three lunches from Big Rigs BBQ--two for dining in and one as a $250 takeout for family. We have tried most of the menu items and really enjoyed all of them. I have not yet tried every BBQ restaurant in the Pittsburgh region, but so far, Big Rig's BBQ is our favorite. For meats, we ate the brisket (5 stars, very tender and flavorful), baby-back ribs (5 stars, fall-off-the-bone and tasty), pulled-pork shoulder (4.5 stars, nicely smoked and goes well with the many sauces), original kielbasa (4.5 stars), cheddar-jalapeno kielbasa (4.5 stars), pineapple kielbasa (5 stars, an explosion of unique, delicious flavors), pork-belly burnt ends (4.5 stars, tender with a very flavorful sauce), turkey (4.5 stars, juicy and flavorful), and smoked turkey-club sandwich (5 stars, my husband loves its cheddar, bacon, lettuce, and dijonaise). For sides, we ate the mac and cheese (4 stars, American, cheddar, and pepper jack), potato salad (4.5 stars, with bacon, scallions, cheddar cheese, bell peppers, and mustard), cornbread (5 stars, with cheddar cheese and BBQ honey butter), BBQ baked beans (5 stars, very flavorful ingredients), and brussels sprouts (5 stars, tasty sauce). This BBQ restaurant also serves some salads. I ate a BBQ salad (5 stars) with my choice of protein, Nashville Chicken Breast. This salad might be the most loaded-up that I have ever eaten. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes as well as generous amounts of chicken, bacon, cornbread croutons that look ~2" in diameter, cheese, onions, and cranberries.

The brunette mentioned she had only been there for five days, but you never would have known it. She did an excellent job checking on guests and making sure everyone was taken care of. I ordered the 3-bone rib dinner with mac and cheese. I'll admit, I'm a bit of a rib snob, but these were outstanding. They had the perfect glaze with a nice crisp on the outside, weren't overcooked, and were so tender but not falling off the bone without being overly fatty. Easily some of the best ribs I've ever had. The mac and cheese was good, but it was spicier than I could handle. It would be nice if there were a non-spicy option available. We enjoyed a few beers, great food, and sat out on the patio listening to blues music on a beautiful summer evening. It was the perfect atmosphere, and I can't wait to come back.
