Waited over 25 minutes for an in-house order, and it felt like we were on "is it ever coming?" time. Easily the slowest service I've experienced in a while, and customer service was basically on vacation. The ambiance? Let's just say "greasy charm" wasn't the aesthetic they were going for. But the it was!! Now here's the twist -- the food was actually great. Hot, fresh, and full of flavor. No complaints there. This Zaxby's has been bad for a while now. In addition to the inconvenient hours, the long wait is usually a deal breaker for me. The Lee Rd location is a much better option. Since I was in the area today, I decided to take my chances here. The printed sign says that they close at 7, but they wouldn't take my order at 657. Their hours are already inconvenient. The drive through is your best option, I've been here multiple times and I feel like every time I go inside it takes a very long time. The workers are very blunt and rude sometimes. I waited in line for 25 minutes in line and the last 15 minutes the drive thru person ignored taking orders. Then cleared out the whole line at 7:01stating they were closed. I am empathetic to being short staffed and I spoke to the manager and she was upset and kind. But there was no resolution and a half hour of my time was wasted. Whoever was taking orders really should have consequences that was intentional and unprofessional. Now I'm in line at a competitors drive through and still not home from work. I ordered a Doordash order and it took an hour to get here because they were telling my Dasher they didn't have my order. I called to speak to the manager who extremely rude. I asked what was going on with my order and she said "Well you didn't hear me the first time?" and I obviously didn't so I asked what did she say. They had me waiting in drive thru for the past 25 minutes before 7pm which is the time they close. After going inside since they weren't answering their phone nor through drive thru. I went inside and the lady has me waiting for another 10 minutes without asking if I needed to order (which is fine I understand she was trying to take our the other orders) but then she proceeded to say she can not take my order since they closed at 6 when they clearly didn't since they were taking other orders in the drive thru.
