I hate to write a bad review for a small business trying to survive, but I just can't recommend this restaurant. On my first visit (take out), I got Pad Kee Mao and a curry dish (I think Panang). The former was ok, though not great. The curry dish was too spicy for me to eat, and I ended up having to throw it away. I have been ordering Thai curry dishes for years, and always order one star, and only once before have I had this issue. I stopped in one more time for takeout because the Vietnamese place I wanted to go to wasn't open. I ordered the Vegetable Tempura and Pad Thai. Tempura to me means a light batter, quickly fried, and the vegetables lightly cooked. The vegetables instead were breaded, fried for a long time and greasy, and overcooked and mushy. Think onion rings from a mediocre hamburger joint, except the same with mushy broccoli, zucchini, etc. The Pad Thai had no flavor at all, except the oil it was fried in. On the bright side, there was no ketchup in it - on the down side, there was no sauce at all. I tried to add flavor with the provided lime slice, but it produced no juice at all. There seemed to be almost no egg, and only a small-moderate amount of chicken. I ordered this food the night before I was going out of town, and I had worried that I would have too much food leftover. This wasn't an issue though, because I was happy to just throw it away. I did eat some since I had nothing else in the house, and I spent the evening with a stomach ache. I don't know for sure, but I don't believe it was food poisoning, just too much grease. read more

We love Tasty Thai for dinner take out. They are fast and the food is, well, tasty! The competitor across the street is more expensive, portions smaller and the orders take much longer to get. We really enjoy their red curry chicken, pork prik king, and phad see ew. I like the reserved parking spot, too, for easy pick-up of our food. read more

Restaurant is clean, surprisingly spacious, modern and beautiful. It's a tad confusing walking through the front door as you'll immediately find yourself behind the front cash register. But they welcome you in immediately and offer you a seat even if you're only ordering take out. Not many restaurants do that anymore. I ordered the yellow curry fried rice with chicken. It took about 5 minutes for them to whip up and I was on my way. I was out the door at 13 dollars after tip. Sounds expensive? It's not.....They EASILY give you enough for two full meals. And it is by far the BEST yellow curry fried rice I have ever had.... And I have worked in a number of Thai restaurants. They don't skimp on the protein either, and it comes with decent helpings of pineapple, cashews, baby corn, and some greens- pretty pricey ingredients once you add them all up. I think this place is a great bargain and value if you are like me and don't like to eat huge amounts in one sitting but rather have enough for a second meal... Will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu. Glad I found a much better alternative for Thai food in Factoria/Eastgate than Thai Ginger across the street- which is not only pricier, but about two thirds the portions and tastes far worst. read more

Pretty dees Thai food. My favorite in the area. Not much on decor but it is tasty. Usually packed for lunch so I come here for dinner. A little pricier though excellent portions. The curries are thick and creamy and fried noodle dishes are not greasy. Defs worth a try!!! I'm always looking forward to my next trip. I used to live in Thailand and go every few years and based on my culinary experiences with REAL Thai food I rate it a 6.75 out of 10 for authenticity. read more

The Pad Kei Mao (?) is the best around. The curry and fried rice is also top notch. Reasonable prices. They used to have the best comb-lunch deal around but I haven't seen it in a while- it was Pad Thai, Curry, Spring Rolls and Soup for one low price. It's very busy during noon on the weekdays, weekends are fine. Lots of parking around even when the strip mall is busy. read more

Yet another Thai restaurant review from me. Dropped in here on a recommendation but found it a bit below par. Service was so-so at best and the food seemed rather bland. In fact the two dishes we ordered looked nearly identical when they arrived. The sticky rice pudding was pretty good though. I ordered the red chicken curry and it was pretty good but not spicy enough. This is a dish that I order at just about every thai restaurant I go to and i always ask for minimal spicy which normally is way too spicy for me. While I did ask for minimal spicy, it wasn't spicy enough so I realize that it's partially my fault. Anyways, everything else was great, the place was packed and service was still great and fast. I work in Factoria, so I did a search of the best Thai food restaurants near me. Tasty Thai had a rating of 4 stars. So, I decided to try it. I ordered the trusty Pad Thai. This is has to be one my of favorite thai restaurants and I've been to plenty! Luckily, it's down the street. The service is prompt and friendly and they just remodeled, so the decor is a lot nicer than it was before! Food is consistent and delicious. I love that they give you a complimentary hot and sour soup and cup of rice with your entree during lunch time. I believe this place is fairly priced, the servings size is huge and my order is always the phad see ew, perfectly seasoned and the broccoli is perfectly cooked! I say this because I've noticed that many thai restaurants undercook their broccoli and it makes the meal subpar.. I get three stars and I like my food spicy and that's spicy enough, like other reviewers, they don't play around with their spice levels. The beef pad see ew that I used to love has been bland about the past 3 times I've gotten it, but the pad kee mao is usually consistently good. This place used to be our family's favorite Thai place but lately the flavor is off. Lack of flavor I mean. We order three entrees. First we had the beef pad see ew and the beef had the flavor and odor of old meat. Second the chicken pad Thai, so bland that the lime made the food turn to tang, this should not happen when you squeeze lime juice on pad Thai. Lastly we had the crab fried rice which wasn't bad but lacked flavor and lacked the abundance of crab meat that you used to get before. I'm starting to wonder if the owner of the restaurant has recently changed. It is quite a disappointment now and on the search for a new Thai restaurant that our family will enjoy. All in all, this place went from five stars to barely a three star. read more

Tasty Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Since it is a small restaurant there isn't much room for a lot of Thai decor, but the food is excellent and the service is too. I recently asked for a dish which wasn't on the lunch menu and they were happy to make it for me. Free soup comes with the lunches and is served at once. You no sooner sit down and the soup is at your table. It is only somewhat noisy if you go in around noon when all the tables and booths are filled. The fact that it is filled at lunch time is such a testament to how good the food is. If you wait until the rush hour is past it is one of the quieter places to eat. The dinner menu includes more choices than the lunch menu. I have taken guests there numerous times for both lunch and dinner, and everyone has been very impressed with the food and extremely polite and prompt service. I give Tasty Thai 5 stars. read more

I've only ever ordered from here to-go. The food is pretty standard. You get a pretty decent portion when you order most of the noodle dishes. However if you order things like salad or the specialty dishes, the portions are very small. The noodle dishes are filling but are slightly lacking in flavor.
