Visited for a Wednesday dinner as a party of 6. This place was recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance and atmosphere was moody and the decorations were very nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was excellent. Our waitress, Tukta, was very attentive and helpful with choosing best options for our party. Food was great. We ate family style and shared around 5 main dishes. Everything was flavorful and filling. Very authentic flavors and service was quick. Our party really enjoyed the experience and we will definitely be back.

This thai spot reigns supreme in my eyes. And women owned! This is one thai place where I think the dine in AND takeout are both 5 stars. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dining in is very fun- they have cultivated a really cool atmosphere that is perfect for a date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their service is amazing, kind, and knowledgeable, and they have a lovely cocktail list full of creative bevs that pair well with the food. Takeout is great too- quick to grab at the counter and holds up. Makes great leftovers too! I was getting the swimming rama for a while, but have been in a noodle mood, so recently got the special noodles. I am gluten free and vegetarian so am a little more limited, but there are still plenty of options. Their gluten free items are labelled and most things can sub out for tofu. The noodles are SO good! Ultimate comfort food. Light flavor of leeks and nuts with some spice, excellent slightly browned texture, and delicious toppings. They are perfect to me. Something I crave as a comfort food. Their fresh rolls are some of the best in town. They stay together really well, have lots of greens, and the peanut sauce here really is perfect. If you want to support an amazing women-run spot, check this out!

The phone did NOT eat first!!! The food was too good, we had to dig in right away! We came in around 8pm and were seated right away. We shared several dishes, including chicken pad Thai, chicken satay, Panang curry, and another dish I forgot. All were super yummy! It was served family-style with rice, and there was enough for the five of us. The staff was amazing, and I'd love to go back soon, especially to the Capitol Hill location, as I hear they do fun-themed nights!

Went to Bai Tong Thai for a work lunch with the team and the restaurant was absolutely packed on a Thursday. It was before the holidays, but I'd definitely recommend having a reservation if you can even if you have a smaller party. The parking lot is large and shared with the rest of the plaza, though depending on how busy it is, you may end up parking a decent distance away. Glass Noodle Pad Thai (3.75/5): The chicken was brutally overcooked and chewy, but the rest of the dish was quite nice. The glass noodles have a satisfying chew and the flavors are a great balance of tangy and salty. Portion sizes are super generous as well. Spring Rolls (4/5): Just a standard vegetarian spring roll. Crunchy on the outside and tender veggies on the inside.

It's one thing to wait over an hour for a table, but then to sit for another 15 minutes and be ignored at your table is something different and unacceptable. There was apparently a banquet of some kind going on in and the kitchen was overwhelmed. When our server did appear, we mentioned our long wait and he apologize profusely because of the large group they had in their banquet room who had overwhelmed their kitchen. He offered us free cocktails as a service recovery effort. When we placed our order, we found out we wouldn't be able to order any curries, because, you guessed it, the kitchen was overwhelmed with the banquet they were hosting. We ended up ordering some spicy chicken, several orders of chicken pad Thai, fried rice, and potstickers. Everything tasted fabulous and it arrived fairly quickly. To our surprise and since this was a birthday celebration, our server brought out a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, and a candle. We sang happy birthday to our birthday girl. What started out as a pretty miserable way to celebrate someone's birthday actually ended up with fabulous food and a birthday treat. The restaurant had the usual noise and wasn't too loud. We could carry on conversation at our table easily and there was plenty of parking outside in the large shopping center parking lot. We would definitely attempt to come back to this restaurant when there was no banquet involved!

Just want to add more pics. Went in early on a Saturday for dinner without reservations. Glad we were able to get seated right away. Everything we had was delicious! Appetizers: Small Thai Fish Cake (Tod Mun Pla) - 4 pcs - homemade, fried fishcakes, served with a cucumber-plum sauce topped with crushed peanuts on the side. Small Spareribs - Crispy-fried pork spareribs flavored with garlic and white pepper, and served with a spicy siracha chili sauce. Papaya Salad (Som Tam) - this Thai salad features shredded papaya, prawns, tomatoes, fresh chilies, lime juice, dried shrimp and crushed peanuts. Served with cabbage leaves. Khao Soi - A Burmese-influenced dish popular in Northern Thailand, this dish combines crispy egg noodles, shallots, lime, pickled green mustard, sliced red onion and chicken in thin yellow curry. Comes with condiments on the side -- lime, red onion, cilantro, and one other condiment that I'm not sure what it was (looked like pickled vegetables). Yummy! There were more noodles in the curry sauce, and it was nice to have a mix of the noodles (crunchy and the ones in the sauce). This dish had ample protein as well. Angry Ocean (Pad Talay) - various seafood (mussels, squid, salmon, prawns, scallops) stir fried with sauce. For cocktails: Spiced Thai Tea Bourbon Basil - this was a favorite!

Came here for lunch special. Got yellow curry and pad Thai, they are both good. For lunch, they come with spring rolls and rice. You can also add 3 bucks for Thai tea. It's my first time trying the fish cake, it's better with the sauce. The happy hour starts at 3:00. will come next time.

Solid place to get some delicious Thai food. I think their strength in their curries, prawn pineapple curry was something I haven't seen before. The cherry tomatoes were a great addition to this, juicy burst of flavor and I'll be incorporating it into my at home recipes as well. Pad thai is fine, nothing special. Service was stellar! Our waiter was very kind, attentive, and personable. Ambiance was nice as well, on the dimmer side with lights that spotlighted our table and food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat in the group room. It was so loud from the other group that we couldn't even hear each other[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like their chicken wings, pineapple fried rice and crab wonton. For kid's menu, my children don't like it, especially their egg rolls. For whatever reason, they don't give out lots of napkins even after we asked. Overall, it's ok place to go to for Thai's food.

This was such a good meal at Bai Tong, we ordered the following Chicken Satay 4/5 great flavor it just needed a little something extra to make it special but as this is a family favorite I would definitely recommend, it also comes in 5 pieces Green Curry 5/5 OMG I did not realize how good this thing was, my sister who joined us suggested we try green instead of our usual panang curry and oh wow she was right. The spice hits you but I promise you, you will not be able to put this thing down it was so yummy Crab Fried Rice 5/5 YOU HAVE TO ALWAYS GET THIS, listen I have a weakness for fried rice period but there is something so uniquely delicious about their version of this, you wont truly understand until you try it. Koi Soi 4/5 A classic and a favorite, very flavorful I appreciate that they give you the chicken de boned as it helps with serving/eating. This is one of my favorite dishes and Bai Tong does a wonderful job Crispy Garlic Chicken 5/5 So this dish goes between a 4 and a 5 often but only because preparation is key. Luckily this time the chicken was super crispy without being overcooked and it was delicious Pad Thai 4/5 My kids love this and demand that we order it whenever were at a Thai restaurant and the dish here is beautifully executed (pet peeve is when the noodle are over done) perfectly cooked and not overly sweet Overall a lovely experience our server was very helpful and patient with us, and I love the little touches of decor they have in there

I ordered three dishes this evening. The chili fried rice was salty, but the flavor was okay. The Pad Thai was unacceptable--it was extremely dry and had absolutely no flavor. Each dish cost an average of about $18. I'm amazed at the lack of care put into the food. I'll be looking for another Thai restaurant moving forward.

The host was very quiet and although I didn't hear him, luckily my daughter did. I asked for a five star curry with Salmon, but they informed me that they could only do three stars so ordered the three star curry, a side of spicy sauce and rice. My daughter ordered the Phad See Eiw with tofu. The server delivered the wrong noodle dish, I immediately said that it wasn't what we ordered; she ignored me, dropped it off and left for the next table where they informed her that she had swapped the dishes. The salmon was quite good, seared and crispy around the edges. The curry wasn't spicy at all, so I had to add the full side of spicy sauce. The spicy sauce made it spicy enough, but it was sour. I tried to explain this to the server; instead of hearing me out she immediately brought more spicy sauce. Finally I was able to get them to cook the curry with the spicy sauce making it less sour and the flavor was good. The rice was definitely insufficient for the amount of curry ordered, which I found strange given how cheap rice is. I tried my daughters noodles. They use a cheaper oil and added lots of sugar, making it a sub par dish. We also ordered a young coconut, but it wasn't that young and the meat was hard. At $12 for an item that costs $1.50 I was underwhelmed. Overall the dishes were hit and miss, and the service was sub par. Try it at your own risk.

The fact that these were also coated in oil was pretty nice. On the inside, I thought the prawns were cooked well - they remained pretty soft and didn't appear overcooked I did feel like the spice was pretty much missing, though. I ordered 4/5 stars, but it tasted more like 1/5 stars as there was a pretty significant lack of spice that took away from a lot of the flavor potential. Speaking of the missing flavor, there should've been a lot more sauce added to this dish - either poured on top of the prawns or the prawns come sitting in it. The benefit of this is that it you can mix everything with the rice - and this sauce coats the rice to make it taste good. The way it's currently presented, the prawns are too large to really eat with the rice, and mixing the two will just result in eating the meat and taking another bite of plain rice because there isn't enough sauce to coat the rice. This dish just ended up being eating the prawns by themselves - the rice wasn't super useful As a result, after finishing I really wasn't that full For the price (around 20 ish) there are a good amount of prawns, but I wouldn't really say you're getting a good deal here

The restaurant was hosting an event, so part of the space was closed off, and service was noticeably slow. It took a while for the food to arrive. The khao soi was decent--not the best I've had, but still a solid choice. The Panang curry had a mild flavor with a subtle lime note and a touch of sweetness, which was interesting but not particularly bold. Overall, the food was okay, but unless you live nearby, it might not be worth the trip. If you do go, I'd recommend ordering a higher spice level, as everything leaned on the mild side. Good ambiance overall.
