Similar to my 1st visit here, my sandwich was very saucy and room temperature. Sheesh, I get really nervous when eating food at off temperatures....as my stomach is very sensitive. Plus, who serves chopped beef sandwiches cold anyway? They obviously have a temperature control issue here...so if you're willing to risk it, be my guest. The canned drinks are off brand too, so don't go expecting anything good. The strawberry drink I ordered tasted like pure chemicals and I had to throw it away after 2 sips.

I was really tempted to order a loaded baked potato, but because I'd be eating it in the car, I figured that might be a bit too messy, so I eventually went with Plan A. One bite into that thing and I knew I made the right decision. It was so juicy and so flavorful. Just the perfect lunch for what I was craving. And then to make this love story even better, later that day, I went to HEB. My HEB happens to have one of those BBQ restaurants inside of it, and it's never open when I visit because I always do my grocery shopping in the morning. But this particular visit was at about 4pm. And I opted to order the exact same thing: a brisket sandwich, so that I could compare the two. I'm sure this is not news to Smokin Z's or their fans, but this was the most lopsided competition I've experienced in a while. My visit to HEB only made me appreciate Smokin Z's more, as the HEB version tasted like something made by my 11 year old nephew. I'm embarrassed I even put the two head to head, as we're talking about a totally different weight class here.

We were attending an event in San Leon and came across Tito's Chow Down. We decided to order some food. Amongst the group, we ordered quesadillas, tacos, and nachos. Everything was great! The meat was cooked to perfection and was seasoned perfectly. Compared to other food trucks, this truck has some reasonable prices. If you're lucky enough to stumble across this gem, stop by -- you won't be disappointed.
