Just came here today and was a bit disappointed, must been an off day for the Wrice establishment but I ordered moist sliced brisket and got the opposite of that. Hopefully next time my brisket will be more juicy and tender because these brisket sandwiches ain't cheap but can't blame them since everything has gone up in the last few years but in the end the sandwich must be right. Service was great and the place looked great also. Overall will give them another try but not anytime soon. read more

They had great flavor, but the lack of meat made them a serious waste of good money. Ordered some to go plates because we had family in town. They were craving barbecue and we had never tried Wrice before. Very easy to deal with on the phone! No options for food "by the pound" so we ordered several 4-meat plates. The whole family was very pleased. Dry seasoned ribs were delicious and as expected were the favorite. However the sausage and the turkey were very pleasant surprises for everyone as well! The brisket was a B+ in our opinion, but nothing negative to say about it! Potato salad and green beans were delicious, baked beans were also good. Sauce was tangy and really good! Zero complaints. We'll be back!! read more

Delicious! Good smoked BBQ paired with hometown friendly service. We stopped here on our way home from the beach and it was the best food on our trip! It's an airy location with lots of outdoor seating. I had the brisket sandwich. My husband had the two meat combo with ribs and brisket. He had plenty of leftovers. Worst bar b que I've ever had in my life. Came here on a Wednesday night wanting to support a black owned business. Parked across the street as there wasn't any available parking in front of the building. Walked up to loud music playing from a dj they had set up. It was hard to place a order because the music being so loud, so you have to yell your order out to the cashier. I wanted to just order meat by the pound and I didn't care for their side options. The cashier told me that I couldn't do that because they only sell plates and sandwiches. So I decided to order a 4 meat plate (ribs,chicken,Sausage and brisket) with an additional side of brisket. The sides I picked I was told at the window would be an additional dollar. Mac and cheese and dirty rice. I'm confused on why you would charge your customers a extra dollar per side for mediocre, not fresh sides. I didn't check my receipt until I got home,then I realized she actually charged me a extra 2dollars per side.Now the food, if you could've seen the disappointment on my face when I opened this box of food; I was beyond pissed. The meats..brisket dry, I mean absolutely no moisture, as well as no smoke flavor. You could tell it wasn't fresh or made that day. It looked like they nuked it in the microwave. Same went with the brisket. The Sausage looked like sausage chips they cut it so thin. The chicken had a weird rubber bite to it like it was freezer burnt then cooked. The mac and cheese was not fresh tasted like it came out of a box and the dirty rice was just disgusting. I told myself that I should've just took the ride to Killens bar b que in Pearland, and got some good food for the 40 dollars I spent. At Killens I could have gotten two three meat plates for what I paid here and everything would have been fresh. Don't believe me do a comparison of the pics from this place and Killens and you be the judge. I hate to down a black owned business, but I can honestly cook better food at home. Checked this place because I had a taste for BBQ and it was on my return route to work. The place has a nice look and an open area to relax. Ordered the rib plate, which came with two sides and a drink for $10 (excellent price). The ribs were moist and very tender with a nice balance of smoke and seasoning (thoroughly enjoyed). Little disappointed in the side, which in my opinion lacked enough seasoning. Met the owner Janice and she was very nice and customer friendly. The place has only been open for about six months. I will return and encourage others to give it a try. read more

Ordered 2 meat plate sliced brisket and sausage potato salad beans apple pie and root beer to be delivered it was more like sliced fat and sausage threw the potato salad out the beans were edible got charged for apple pie I didn't get and got a coke instead of root beer and gave my dogs the fat and sausage wouldn't eat there again even if they PAID ME read more

My husband and I have been wanting to try the bbq from here for a while and today was the day. He ordered a 2 meat plate with sausage and chicken. When we opened up the styrofoam plate we were disappointed. He was hoping for a "smoked" piece of chicken but instead there sat a skinless, boneless chicken breast, dry with a little bit of flavor, the sausage was ok. He was given the choice of 2 sides and they got one correct. I ordered a sliced beef sandwich that had no bbq sauce on it or in my bag so I had to put my own store bought bbq sauce at home. I know it's expected to pay a lot for bbq because the prices of meat are up but getting a half chicken "smoked" should be worth a 2 meat plate that is $16. And getting the sides correct would have been nice too. Probably not going back again. Brisket was not bad though, just know they are $11 but it comes with a small bag of chips and a can drink. read more

On our way to fetching lab and the food truck wasn't there yet, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We had seen this place on our way and both talked about how good BBQ sounded, so we turned around and drove back. The place is decorated like a man cave, and since it's in a garage type building and one man does all the cooking, it's so fitting. We put our order in with his wife, she was so friendly and genuine. Food took a minute but it is so worth it. The best BBQ I've had in the area hands down. The place was so clean, even the bathroom was spotless! We also got to meet the man behind the amazing food. They're such good people. We spent an hour hanging out and talking to his wife while we ate. We will not go anywhere else for BBQ! Try it you won't be disappointed! read more
