Sometimes the clientele gets a little rowdy but it is a 18+ restaurant so at least kids aren't around to experience some of the adults that don't know how to behave in public. Last weekend we went for dinner and got a show. a lady sitting at the bar dropped her top several times and exposed herself to everyone in the place. The first time it happened the bartender untied her top making it fall. Everyone laughed excepted a few older people that were very uncomfortable- the woman was obviously very comfortable and a regular. So I'm sure it wasn't the first or the last time it'll happen. The food was phenomenal as always. We always get some version of oysters (you can't beat the flavor here) and I got a salad. Zero complaints on the food, would like to not see people expose themselves while eating but again we eat here often and it's the first time it happened. Don't skip this place but do keep in mind it can get a little lively. Oh they do often have bands and a fully service bar. A must for sure.

The seafood was decent, nothing that blew me away though. We ordered the grilled fish and some appetizers; flavors were okay but a bit underwhelming for the price point. Service was friendly but a little slow considering it wasn't even that packed. The bar area was fun and lively which was a plus. Overall it's solid spot for the atmosphere, but if you're coming purely for the food, you might leave wanting a bit more. Would probably return just for drinks and appetizers.

Luckily, it was somewhat on the way back so we decided to give it a try. Rolling through San Leon made us question if we were going to the right place. It didn't feel lively and definitely was not giving 'Coastal Chic', like how Pier 6 has been described. Upon arrival, it was a totally different vibe and 'Coastal Chic' is a fitting description for the place. We were seated right away and they offered a high chair for our little one. We started out with fresh oysters and a flight of margaritas. If you're an oyster fan, it's worth getting the oysters. Super fresh. The flight presentation was so beautiful. My husband and I had fun trying the different margaritas. The blue one was coconut flavored. It reminded me of a piña colada but with tequila. We were surprised that we liked this one. The pink one was watermelon flavored. We could taste the smokiness of the mezcal in it. This was a nice, not sweet drink. The white one was their classic take on margarita. We thought this one was too sweet for our taste buds. The orange one was mango and I think chamoy. This reminded me of the Mexican candy Lucas - sweet and tangy. All drinks were finished. LOL Now to the main dishes. My husband had the Mahi Mahi and said the fish was fresh and had a good amount of seasoning on it. The risotto and mushroom was a solid pairing with it. He cleared the dish. I had the tomato salad and clam chowder. Their tomato salad was so good. It was light and refreshing. I love that there were dill and capers too. Their clam chowder is definitely different compared to others I've had. The soup was more like a light creamy broth. The clam is served whole. Oyster crackers were also in it vs served on the side. Even though it was different, I didn't mind it and killed everything. Service was as expected for the time of day. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would make the trip to the San Leon area again. A few notes: Pier 6 does have a kids menu and there's changing table in the restroom, along with some diapers. This place is in between Kemah and Galveston. It's about 15 minutes drive from Kemah and 25-30 minutes drive from Galveston.

When we arrived, we chose to sit upstairs to enjoy the pretty ocean view and were served right away. The vibes were great with a lively crowd, a slight breeze, sunny weather, and beach hut inspired décor. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. It is honestly impressive that they serve 50 cent oysters all day, every day, so of course we ordered three dozen. The Gulf oysters were large and fresh, and they did not skimp on the cocktail sauce or horseradish. Even though this spot is pretty far from my house, the oyster deal alone might make it worth the drive. My dad and I also ordered the Fried Mushrooms. They were fried beautifully, crispy on the outside and perfectly bite sized, which made them very addictive. Our waiter recommended the Parmesan Crusted Redfish and said it was the best item on the menu. While it was good, the Parmesan coating leaned a bit salty. That said, it was cooked well and still enjoyable. If I came back, though, I would probably try something different, like the Fish Tacos he also suggested. Overall, between the unbeatable oyster deal, friendly service, and relaxed coastal atmosphere, this restaurant makes for a fun and worthwhile outing. While not every dish was perfect, the value and setting make it a place I would happily return to, especially on a sunny day.

Check-in/entry could have been smoother. There was a serious lack of shade all over the fest but the weather was perfect so it didn't ruin the afternoon. I recommend dressing comfortably with decent shoes as the grounds are gravel-like. The lines moved quickly, there were plenty of oysters( Being served even up until 7:00 pm-ish). There were plenty of decent vendors. We really enjoyed our time at the fest! One thing that I wish would change is that the kid zone was near the entrance gates and all of the actual festival action was further away from the gates... it would have been nice to sit and enjoy the music but also have an eye on the kid zone if you're a parent.... it's worth trying out relocating the kid zone. .
