Tate automotive Branch in Carlsbad NM sold me a 2024 HighCountry pickup truck and put a 3rd party tunnel cover on my truck and it was bad and Chevrolet corp says it won't replace it .because it's a 3rd party product. Also my new Chevrolet has been in the shop 3 times for almost a month for repairs. I would not recommend buying anything from this dealer ship. They do not stand behind their warranty. read more

I had an oil change appt. for 10 am. Got there 5 minutes early and checked in. They didn't move my truck into the service bay until 10: 23 and didn't finish until 11:24. I have just started shopping for a new truck, they won't be my first stop. Complaint I contacted the dealership and began talking to the salesman Joseph Fuentes. After a week or so of conversations and a test drive of the vehicle I was interested in the salesman told me I could take the car home for a night to finalize my decision on the purchase. I've purchased several new vehicles from this location since the 80's when Ross Hyden owned it was great fair price great service,since Tate Branch took over there there for the sale with very little service,My Denali has been 3 times to Carlsbad Chevrolet for oil changes because Tate couldn't get it in,My wife took it in on a scheduled oil change took off work was told they had to reschedule a week later she goes in same thing I go in for the 3rd scheduled attempt was told (on a Saturday) they again couldn't do it. I said not leaving until it's done they took it to actual shop to change oil. Drivers side seat still loose been in several times for that still loose been waiting on lower seat cover for over a year now etc. I gave them a 3 for lifetime warranty but your gonna be waiting a lifetime. I stopped by this car dealership to check out their new and used inventory as i was interested on a new vehicle. As i looked at the prices on vehicles, i could see that all used vehicles were overpriced. No deals there. I spoke to a sales man, as they come out in a hurry, about a new Dodge Challenger. It was a sedan SX trim and an RT at 38k. Overpriced there. Come on, $38k really. For that i can purchase a 392 shaker challenger. I spoke to the sales man and told him i was looking for a great deal like $5000 under book market value. Not interested in paying retail. So, i decided to walk away. 2016 GMC Denali for 41k. Yea right. For that price i can get me a 2018 GMC. Jaja. A 2016 Cadillac escalade for $51k with high miles on it. Clearly oveprices by $18k on all these vehicles. Have stopped and inquired about vehicles for sale on several occasions. Every time, without fail, their used cars are grossly overpriced, and they only seem interested you inside to "work a deal." Sorry, that old school way of trying to sell cars just isn't the way to do it anymore. Too many other dealerships out there that don't operate that way. Bought elsewhere. DO NOT PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE HERE. We bought our Chrysler Pacifica brand new a year ago. The past year has been the WORST trying to deal with them. Because of the nature of a new car there were multiple recalls, I was told I would be out of a vehicle for 2-3 weeks while they fulfilled the order. I can't do that. So we waited and waited. When our start/stop feature stopped working we asked them to check the battery. They basically refused and treated me with such disrespect. I then started talking to the service manager, thinking things would be done. Well today the proved that they in fact do NOT deserve your business. I sent my van in and the repairs I requested were not done. So after doing the entire day without a car (because they cannot accommodate a loaner for someone with 4 kids) it still isn't fixed. DO NOT buy a car from Tate branch. Their sales team is great and according to the service department they are also liars. The service department doesn't fulfill orders. read more

I'm very disappointed in their service. I bought a brand new vehicle from them almost a year ago and I'm still dealing with the tow package they installed. The service department told me to come there with the trailer attached so they can trouble shoot it. The lights don't work on the trailer when I plug them in, I can't drive it with no lights. I triedsupporting our local businesses but I don't recommend buying a vehicle from them. read more
