I was staying at the Marriott for a wedding in the area and decided to make life easy and just get my hair done in the hotel rather than looking for a different salon elsewhere . The salon is small and Leah was the only person working. She did a beautiful fancy do for myself and my sister for the wedding and was a pleasure to chat with to boot. My sister and I enjoyed that we were the only people there and it wasn't a crazy Saturday afternoon in a very busy place. I would highly recommend for a stylized do for a special occasion! read more

I was given A gift certificate to have a facial done. With the passing of a dear friend, I got the days confused. I was told that due to their policy they could not give me a refund or reschedule this appointment. This was a gift given to me by my son for Mother's Day. I was able to schedule some Sunday appointments before starting a weeklong conference. Totally worth it. The pedicure was exactly what I needed before a week of running around the hotel for meetings. Patricia did an amazing foot massage that I definitely needed after flying to NY. And on Sunday, we had the space to ourselves. Calling this place a spa is rather generous. I would call it a salon at best. The massages are done downstairs by the gym In a closet sized room. I'm pretty certain they just not be licensed massage therapists because it was lackluster and at times uncomfortable. (I am used to deep pressure massages, but this was all elbows and knuckles). At one point I was asked if it was alright, and I paused, and I just told her it was fine, she was doing her best, her best just wasn't very good. The pedicure was done in a foot spa that was never even turned on. She just went straight to cleaning up my feet, the job she did looked nice, but this was certainly a no frills experience. I suggest if you're staying in this area, there's many actual spas around, you can just drive a short distance and have an actual spa experience. read more

Made reservations while staying at the Marriott for a couples massage. Decided to cancel and reschedule for another day. Staff was extremely rude and condescending before we could even bring up rescheduling. Started making up policies, threatened to charge us and lectured my wife about how we wasted time for other people. Kinda silly to say they charge for cancellations when they only take your phone number and name for the reservations. Even though the hotel is great and I stay there a few times a year I would say the spa is a 2. It's not a dump the staff is just rude. read more

WORST MASSAGE EXPERIENCE EVER! Do not waste your money! Stayed at the DoubleTree Hilton in Tarrytown on business, and noticed the spa. Tatiana rents space inside the hotel, so all booking had to be done over the phone--including providing credit card information. Sketchy from the start. Arrived at the spa (which is essentially a broom closet by the pool), and was then led into the worst massage and massage experience I've ever had. Lights were on the entire time, uncomfortable massage table, and there was no music for the first 20 min--until she stopped MID-MASSAGE to speak to a utility man on how to fix the sound, and he almost walked into the room! The massage itself was terrible. No technique, and I think she did more harm than good on my muscles. I was counting down the minutes until it was over. My "masseuse" proceeded to abruptly end the massage, gather her things and keys, and LEAVE ME on the table! I will not be visiting Tatiana Day Spa again. Ever. read more

I stayed at the new Marriott for business and Micheal at the desk recommended Tatiana Day Spa. I had a basic manicure. The staff was friendly and attentive and although I had had a basic service, they made me feel very special. I will definitely return to the Spa if I am here on business. I had a mani/pedi here this past weekend. I was here for a wedding and skeptical to go anywhere outside my usual. I find it common for people to mess up french manicures, but Patricia was surprisingly good. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but the free-handed white tips of the french manicure were almost flawless. The salon was very nice and clean. I arrived early so the staff helped me pick some nail polish and Tatiana got me situated in the chair with massager while I waited. The staff seemed to enjoy what they do. It was a very nice experience. read more

I used to come here when it was Eva Sweden and was still here not long after it changed names. (Then I moved from NY to TX.) Back then, I never knew this place existed, until a friend gave me a discount package that included a haircut, facial and massage. The place was the "spa" in the Tarrytown Marriott. It was extremely no frills and decor-wise, hadn't been updated in ages. (Not sure how it looks now- so no comment on that). The other services were great, but Raquel had me hooked when she did my hair- so that's what this review is about....not decor, the other services, just my former hair stylist. I felt so lucky I found Raquel- she is a hidden gem. I loved how she cut my hair on my initial visit, then I returned again to get my cuts / highlights done by her. WOW. She amazed me with how well she understood what I wanted, her skill, beautiful results, and ease and speed in which she had me in and out. "Hey," she said, "I just love what I do." I was a regular customer for many years before moving and she was consistently awesome every time. The prices were very reasonable and less than what I'd paid in the past. She spoiled me and set the bar high. Better than anywhere I've ever had my hair done before her, even much pricier places. One of the things I really miss about New York :) read more

On a girls' weekend with two friends, we all booked massages at the location in the Doubletree Hotel. First of all, this is hardly a spa. It's more like a closet with a table. I was willing to overlook the no-frills environment with the hope that the relaxing massage would make up for it. The first half hour was fine. Then the screaming started. A large group of kids were playing and screaming in the adjacent pool. Wow! Were they loud! Who puts a "spa" next to a pool? Not the relaxing experience I was hoping for. One friend cancelled her appointment. Who wants to spend $100 for that? We called to complain and were basically told -- you should have stopped the massage when you heard the noise. Ok. Just get up and walk out? I was a half hour into it. No offer for a discount or anything. Just "too bad." Poor customer service, Tatiana. So now I'm writing this lousy review and warning people to not waste their money. read more

My friend has been raving about this place for 2 months, kept saying how great of a massage he always gets and how much better his back feels. I had the pleasure of dealing with Tessa. I am staying at Marriot right now. This should not really be called a spa as it is more of a hair salon. I had a massage there and my advice would be to skip Tatiana if you want any kind of spa treatment. The treatment room is next to the fitness center I heard people talking and the flat screen TV playing the whole time which was distracting despite the spa music. Also the room was chilly and the lotion was ice cold definately not relaxing. The massage was just ok but not worth the price at all read more

If you want to get pampered or just relax and treat yourself Tatiana Day Spa is the place to go! This spa is truly a hidden gem. The environment is so relaxing and welcoming. Every time I step through that door I feel like a princess. I feel great. Everyone there is so nice and professional. They know how to make their guest feel comfortable and appreciated. Tatiana uses the best of products on her clients. I personally have coarse curly hair. That being said I have always been iffy about letting anyone touch my hair. I let Tatiana work on it and ever since I haven't stop coming back and I love in the Bronx. It is worth the trip. If you are in town I highly recommend you try it out. You will be hooked. read more
