I have been here a couple of times and love this place. Such a cute little shop. Like that they have a small little shop of accessories, artwork, etc. Perfect if you need a gift or something for yourself. Workers, I believe the owners, are so sweet and helpful. I have tried pastries. One being their guava and cheese danish. Really good. I have tried lattes and chai. I still need to go back and try one of their empanadas. Tatiana's is such a great spot!! Visiting Ventura for the day and needed some caffeine, so I made a stop in here. What a wonderful gem! The shop itself is cute and has about 10 tables to sit at. I took my order at the register and the man who helped me was extremely nice! I'm sad I did not catch his name!! But we were able to chat and he was friendly, thank you! I got an espresso con panna (espresso with whipped cream) and a beef empanada during my visit. DELICIOUS! The espresso was brewed well and not bitter or sour at all. It paired well with the sweet, cool whipped cream. I drank it slowly, so the cream and coffee began melting together which was so tasty. The empanada was fantastic as well the crust was flaky and nice and tender. The filling was very flavorful! It's filled plump. I loved the olives inside too! This is my new favorite local coffee shop. It's located in a nice area of Hobson/Midtown on Main and is beautiful with indoor seating and a very nice aesthetic. They have a great variety of art, books and many other interesting and unique items for sale. They also sell empanadas as well as baked goods. The service is *super* friendly and fast and the quality of their coffee and other items is excellent. They are conveniently located within walking distance of several other fun local businesses such as Grady's Record Refuge. Diego recommended I tried the almond dark chocolate biscotti with it and ohhhhh what a perfect pairing ! Beef & Potato empanada is my absolute fave. welp i really wanted to like this place! i will say the owner was very sweet and i was happy to support a small business. i came in on a grey day looking to work on my computer and got an almond milk vanilla latte. the overhead fans were on so it was pretty chilly and the tables were dirty. the latte was sadly not very good at all. i thought the cup holders advertising community memorial health were a bit odd. i waited a while for my coffee and watched as they prepared other orders, and they do microwave their eggs if that is something you care about when ordering a "fresh" breakfast sandwich. id love to support local small businesses but i don't think i'd return for the product :/ read more

Came here at 2pm on a Saturday, an hour before closing and maybe that is why our coffees were awful. We got a cappuchino and an americano and were told that two shots were included in the 12 oz of each. The store was empty and it took about 8 minutes for our coffees. They were both bitter with little cream and we had to throw them away and get Starbucks at the local grocery store instead. Tatiana wasn't there. I was quickly greeted by the friendly owners. Tatiana was delighted to hear it was my first time and had been referred by some friends. She gave me a quick rundown of their business and menu. I choose to go with the beef and potato empanada with a Tatiana special almond smoothie. Wow and wow! Both were great in their own right. I love empanadas and I feel used to the typical fried version; But these are baked and flaky and everything else wonderful. Right amount of filling ratio. The best empanadas ever! You can believe all the hype. Served with 2 types of sauces, chimichurri and not sure of the second one (chili oil?). I have had a few empanadas in the past from some very well-known places, but this place is head and shoulders above them all. I had the potato and beef empanada and my wife had the veggie empanada. Juicy inside, crispy and fluffy outside. Perfectly cooked, perfectly blended spices, high quality ingredients. Just a pocket of happiness. We could have eaten them alone, but we just couldn't pass up those beautiful looking sauces. We doused them one at a time over alternating bites and delighted in each variation. So, so good. They are rich or we would've bought 2 more. I wish we hadn't already had two cups of coffee before stopping by because the different coffee options looked amazing too from the traditional macchiato and espresso con panna, to the dirty chai and blended drinks.
