The movers made some minor damage to our wall in the stairway and the door frame in our laundry room leading to the garage. The company/investor who purchase our home (Opendoor) charged us for the damage. I asked David, the owner, to help pay for the damage and he immediately agreed to send me $50. (Keep in mind my move cost me just over $1300.) I have yet to receive the $50 and I have asked and reminded David three times over a period of one month to send me the money. I paid him immediately for his service yet when he owes me a small amount of money he doesn't come through. A word of caution to anybody who is considering this company for their move. If there is damage caused during your move negotiate the cost at the time of the damage as to not have the same situation as me, trying to collect from the owner! I ended up having to file a small claims lawsuit to get the $50 the owner owes me! Be cautious dealing with this company in case they cause any damage they may not pay you! On a separate note however, the three guys who moved us were very professional, courteous and respected our home and furniture. They were mindful of the hourly rate and kept busy with hardly any time wasted. They took extra care to ensure fragile items were properly protected and packed on the truck. Hired Taurus to help move into our new house. Everything went quickly and fantastically. No damage to anything and got all the furniture packed up, moved, and unload in under 2 hours (of course, the fact that we had already moved everything but the furniture out helped). Purchased the groupon for 2.5 hours (half hour is treated as trip time) and they were able to schedule me for the weekend I wanted (bought a week in advance). I was worried they would be late but they actually showed up about 10 minutes early! Cody and his crew were all very nice and pleasant and worked quickly with positive attitudes. We just hired them to move our big items from a single story home to another single story home, so we didn't go over the 2 hours the groupon covered - probably took about an hour and a half. I would definitely use these guys again and recommend them to anyone else! Keep in mind that if you purchase the groupon, ,the groupon includes one half hour of trip service and then you need to pay an additional $55 trip charge on top of the groupon - still a good deal as I was reading reviews on other moving companies offered on groupon and was too scared to take a chance on the others lol read more

The crew was mostly a pleasure to work with; however, the owner of this company is completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Our move started late in the afternoon, and once the crew arrived, immediately they complained about the size of the job. Since you bill by the hour, I am still confused as to why it would matter if the job was bigger than expected, but if that is really a problem maybe you should stop giving estimates over the phone because people that move once a decade aren't going to be the best at estimating something you do everyday. We did the best we could to describe all that was needed but ultimately your supposed to be the professional and should know how to schedule your jobs. Your website even says it takes an average of 60 boxes to move... We told you we had about 100. They ultimately called a second crew out to assist with the move because of the late start time and because they had two previous jobs that day. Apparently by me simply asking how much it was going to cost to have a second crew come out was me somehow complaining about the price. I know a lot of people in a lot of different trades, if you underestimate/underbid a job it's not your customers fault, it's yours.The crew finished the job in nearly half the time we were quoted so the second crew was unnecessary anyways. Once we were finally able to get a hold of the owner about very large marks on our furniture he was extremely condescending and unwilling to take any responsibility. He told us that the rub marks on our furniture (which have never been move before) must have been our dogs chew marks.... This is completely ridiculous and idiotic. When we told him that we we're going to leave a review he threatened us with legal action. All of this to say, make sure you count exactly how many boxes you have and don't add anything because apparently this is a huge inconvenience to a moving company. Also make sure you look through your items before they leave because as prior reviewers have stated you will not get the owner to take responsibility. read more

I had an awesome experience with Taurus moving. We needed to move in less than one week. The price was about the same as elsewhere. They got us scheduled. I texted to confirm later that week and got an instant response back. The movers arrived 45 mins late but gave me plenty of notice ahead of their scheduled time. I was told when scheduling this can happen. 4 guys showed when asked for 3 but we had a lot of stuff so it worked out. They took care to wrap furniture and my prized speakers and TV I was worried about. Nobody sat around and took smoke breaks like other movers had in the past. They also took utmost care and did a wonderful job of moving my heavy couch from the second floor with a turning staircase to another second floor. Mixed bag on the review. The actual work that was done was efficient and the crew was attentive & thorough. There were a few items that were damaged during the move. It happens. My issue is with the lack of follow up after the move when the damages were communicated. On two separate occasions there was supposed to be a follow up visit at the house to inspect the damaged items for repair. No show and no call for both visits. I believe we are very fair when it comes to being flexible and understanding on rescheduling appointments. Things pop up for all of us. What is not acceptable to us from a business owner is lack of communication and follow up to the customer. For that reason, I would not recommend this moving company to my family or friends. read more

None come close to the professionalism these guys showed. I used them twice this week since half my stuff was going to my new place and the other half to storage. Cory and Brandon were phenomenal. Found this company on Groupon. David was my initial point of contact and he was easy to work with for scheduling and answering all questions. I initially hired 3 men but on the day of the move 4 showed up as the job before me hired an additional person. I was given the option to stick with 3 or hire the 4th mover on the spot. I agreed to hired the 4th mover. Covey, Sati, Mone, and Roger were great! They moved us in a total of 2:15 with a 20 drive to our new location. They took great care of our stuff and were great to work with. Highly recommend and will use them again if needed! read more

These guys are really GREAT! I hired Taurus moving to pack up and move my entire house to a new location in town. I own a fairly large home and almost every piece of furniture that I own is large and bulky. They arrived 15 min early and the owner himself was there on a Sunday! His crew of guys were very friendly, professional and above all ready to work. They wasted no time getting right at it and before I knew it they had my entire house safely packed up in the truck. (Less than 2 hours for sure!) Now the fun part, not only did they go out of their way to make sure that none of my furniture was damaged they very managed to figure out a way to get my 120" sofa through a window avoiding me having a melt down! We hired Taurus moving for a move into a house from a storage unit and a pod. The crew David sent were great. They met me at the storage unit and were early! The truck they had was too small for the unit, but they said that they would pack it well and make a return trip which they did. They also moved an upright piano without problems. They were far faster than the quote David gave me over the phone! My children were at the home during the move and all 3 of the movers were kind and thoughtful with them while moving. My husband and I are extremely pleased the Moving crew of Taurus Moving Company ( Ruben, Carlos and Cisco) have provided today. We came across a Fantastic deal through Groupon. Scheduling was easy and they picked up my call within the first few rings. I say that because i feel that is important, I didn't call into a call center or an answering service. This process is extremely important for us as it would be for anyone else- i mean the company who is going To move everything you own from one place to the next, you want to talk to a live person! The owner explained how the Groupon certificate worked, what i need to expect and gave me pricing over the phone, should i needed to extend the allotted time. The movers gave me a courtesy call me about 45 minutes prior to their arrival time and these men knew we needed to get done within a certain timeframe. Not only did we stick within that allotted time, they made sure to handle all of our belongings with care. They setup in a particular way to ensure they did not ding, scratch or scrape any door frames and lined the entry with a drop Cloth as to not damage or bring outside dirt in. They made sure to wrap our furniture with their cloths and secured them with moving rubber bands so that the cloths didn't fall off. We had a 3 man crew and they hustled from the beginning. Each one of men were social and polite however did focus on getting our home Loaded up for the Journey. Upon arrival at the new home, again they asked direction as to where i wanted the items dropped off. They offered to set up the beds if needed as well. Unloading was quick and the billing process was detailed and accurate. I hope we do not have to move again however if we do, This company will definitely be on speed dial. I have never hired movers before so I was clueless as where to look. My friend suggested this company as she has used them in the past. I was able to get a last minute appointment which I was so thankful for. This crew showed up on time had so much energy, knowledge and personality. Moving can be so stressful but the five man crew made it go so smooth. Not only with moving everything out of the house but moving everything into the new house. They knew where to put the furniture, where it would look best in each room. They even had to take apart my refrigerator and put it back together, which is some thing I would not have been able to do. They put all the beds together. They were also extremely careful with my furniture and my delicate items. This company was professional from start to finish. These guys are awesome! Good Movers in general are hard to find, but David Torres and the team were beyond professional, courteous, polite, fast, and careful. They moved five bedrooms, garage and a basement and back yard storage from Tulsa to Phoenix. They arrived early packed the entire house in one and half days then loaded in one day drove it all here kept it safe for two days until we closed on our house and then unloaded in a matter of a few hours. Great efficient Moving company. They were very professional and moved everything in a timely manner. Constant communication by the Team leader kept the group at a good pace and they were able to move my entire house within a few hours vs 8 to 10 hrs like all of my other moves. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Wish I could give zero stars. When I initially spoke to David the owner and told him how much needed to be moved, they quoted me 5-6 hours, which is what other moving companies quoted as well. The day of the move, 3 guys showed up. One was responsible for dissembling our furniture upstairs. He asked if our next house had stairs and I said, "yes." He told me how much he disliked stairs. About 20 minutes later he told me his mom was sick and needed to leave. Yep - you can't make this stuff up. So we were stuck with just 2 movers for over an hour. When we arrived at the new house, no one knew how to put the furniture together so it took the movers MUCH longer to reassemble everything. And did I mention the damaged furniture?!? When I told them of the damage, they said that unless I had a before and after picture of the items they couldn't do anything. They also told us most people don't know they had damaged furniture before a move. Are you kidding me?!? When I called to speak to the owner, he came up with 14 million reasons why the move took longer than 6 hours - I can understand another hour or 2 but another 6 hours?!? Really? I've had friends help me move that did a better job and didn't charge anything. We ended up paying nearly $1,500 for a horrible experience. Whatever you do, don't use this company. They will yell at you, argue with you, and refuse to compensate for their mistake. Be warned! So confused as to the high ratings on yelp. We had this company referred to us and they came out about 3 weeks ago on a Friday and performed a walkthrough of our home to provide an estimate. They showed up about 2.5 hours late after I called to confirm they were coming and got off work early to meet them. The owner had us late for another event and after the full walkthrough we were told he would need until Monday or Tuesday to provide the quote. I said that was fine. However, the following Thursday I sent a text saying I never received the quote and I didn't hear back. I then called the following week and he said he did not receive my text. I then texted my email and asked he confirm receipt which he did. I still until this day have not received the moving quote from this company. Instead of waisting our time just say you're too busy! We planned for them to pack and unpack our things which is a service they said they offered. The only service offered was a waste of our time! Update, I received the estimate 40 min after I wrote this review and I received a comment from the business saying the email estimate was drafted but they didn't realize it never sent. Since they were referred and based on the reviews we believe they may be a good company. Maybe we will have the opportunity to see this for ourselves. read more

Great experience. They were fantastic on short notice and last minute changes. We were moving my mother from one level of care to another in a retirement community. We apologized for the historically slow elevators and they smiled and said they usually don't have elevators!! Clean cut courteous and good sense of humor. Quick and reasonable. One of the best! Having been in the relocation industry for 20 years I have heard numerous horror stories about moving companies. I was referred to Taurus by a close friend and I'm so glad I chose them. We moved within Gilbert (about 7 miles) and I called just about two weeks before our move date and David had no problem accommodating us with two trucks and six guys! They were right on time, had great attitudes and didn't damage a single thing. We moved into a brand new home and they were very cautious as to not hit walls with furniture and they protected the carpeting as well. I highly recommend them! read more

Taurus moving saved my day by managing to move from a 2100 sq ft home and 4300 sq ft all in one day. I used an Angie's list deal and received 4 hours of labor and then paid for an additional 5 hours of labor as we had a lot of stuff moving, including multiple trips and multiple refrigerators. 12/31/2017 It is unfortunate that I have to change my review, based on my most recent experience. Only 2 movers showed up, instead of 3. The movers me out of my condo pretty quickly, but the 5 minute drive to the new place took them 40-45 minutes, which wouldn't be a big problem except that I was being charged by the hour. The guys took an extremely long time to move me in to my new place. I mean an EXTREMELY long time. They told me it was taking so long because there was only 2 of them instead of 3, as it should have been. So a move that should have cost me around $285, ended up costing over $400. I contacted the owner and explained the situation, and he blamed the lengthy move on the places I was moving from/to, but acknowledged I was supposed to have 3 movers not 2, even though the guys flat out told me they were taking so long was because they were missing a guy (I didn't even ask, they volunteered that info to me). I am very disappointed, as I haves used this company before (see below), and hoped that the owner would act with some integrity. It is very unfortunate that they were missing a mover, but I shouldn't have to pay for that. The owner said I was charged a lower rate for the extra time it took, but I still ended up paying over $120 than I should have. The owner said he would contact me after the new year, but today is Jan 8th, and I have not heard back from him. By the way he was trying to blame everything on the locations I was moving from/to, I honestly don't expect to hear back. As a customer, I don't appreciate being dismissed with excuses when I feel I was done a wrong. This company may have enough business that they can disregard any complaints that come in, but that is no way to do business, and it will come around to bite them. I'm not going to play the blame game with the owner, but I will leave this review, never use their company again, and never refer anyone to them again. June 2016 - I am late in leaving this review, but when I looked up Taurus Movers to use them again for an upcoming move, I saw a negative review that I have a hard time believing. The crew from Taurus were awesome movers. They were on time, kept me informed, were very careful with everything they moved, and they were FAST. I have had horrible experiences with other moving companies in the past, and had sworn off using moving companies. My roommate had arranged the last move with Taurus, and I was very skeptical and my expectations were low. All I can say is I was very pleasantly surprised. The day of the move, the crew: Corey, Niko and Luis were right on time and even though it was early in the morning these guys were full of energy and pleasant to be around. I had this Company move my Family the end of July 2011. The owner at first was a great help to my family and allowed me to pay half in cash and the remainder by check, which was great. However that was the end of anything considered positive. He sent 3 guys that complained about the move and was certain as they walked in only 1 room of my home that it was to a 8hr job, when I was quoted half that. Long story short 9hrs later after they had milked the clock all they could. We began to beg the movers to finish getting our belongings off of the moving truck, as everything was just being unloaded into our garage the entire day except the large items such as sofas and TVs that they reluctantly place in the house. Our cream colored sofa has a large black greasy hand print (that we can't get out) on it. The day had dragged on so long because the pace they had set from the beginning. My youngest son even had to overhear one of the movers say " This is Bullsh*t". It took well over 90 minutes for the drive between houses which is normal about 20 minuet drive. The 3 of the movers had several instances where they were in our garage on their cell phones. The entire 9 hours our entire family helped by moving boxes to the driveway as a staging area. Prior to the movers' arrival we had everything Taken apart (Beds, ECT) and placed in 2 rooms, but it still did not speed up the process at all! It got so bad about 5 hours in that it was oblivious by the way they were loading the Box truck with all the unused space they left. That they were also going to try to get the move to take longer with excess trips having to be made between the homes. So to speed up the process, as a last resort we went and got a flatbed trailer and packed that up ourselves. I was very upset by this point because I had requested for 3 movers and a VERY large truck, and 9+hours later and they want to charge $800.00 (which is NOT at all reasonable for what they did, let alone the damage cost I incurred that day) so I paid $200.00 in cash the day of the move hoping we could speak to the owner about the blatant milking of time during the move and the damages caused by his movers. They didn't even bring hardly anything in the house let alone assemble anything; we had to do 2 loads on our own. We felt horrible on our moving day we were up that day from 5:00am to 10:00pm and was exhausted. I thought the reason you hire movers is to lessen the emotional and Physical strain of moving rather than doing it yourself. As they unloaded the moving truck boxes were dropped which as you can see from his email below, the owner blames our packing. (Even though we used bubble wrap on anything breakable and also we marked FRAGILE clearly visible on all boxes that were breakable) It could not possibly be his movers poor handling and complete disregard of our items, one of my large decorative trees was knocked over and the setting it was in knocked loose and all the topping in the pot spilled onto the sidewalk and not one of the movers attempted to pick it up, my sons had too. As we began to notice damages throughout the day like the sofa we called and talked to DAVE the owner and he had completely dismissed us. So after this horrific day we called Dave again about the damages still no concern if we even got a response. I did not receive a decent response until I had to place a stop -pay on the remainder of the payment for the move. At that point it seems I had gotten Dave's attention in a negative way because not only did he write the email in regards to the pictures of our damages that I have included below, but threatened the file criminal charges for writing a bad check and for theft of services. When we could have solved this situation civilly or through small claims and I was fine with either. Throughout all of this it got so bad that the owner even called my wife a Bit*h and began calling me that my family " White Tra*h! " type of racial slurs. I'm just hoping to keep someone's family from having to do business with someone like this; I wish I could have known..... See his email...
