All I needed was two moving-skilled men to move a display cabinet with a lot of glass, 5 feet away from a wall damaged by roof leak. Roof leak was right above the china cabinet, and the wall was bubbled and cracked all the way down to the floor, so I knew the water was under the cabinet and in the carpet for at least 5 days. All the other HomeAdvisor movers quoted me $250 minimums and UP for this 5 min moving job. When Brandon heard my plight, he too had a minimum, but agreed to send his men after they finished their job, because my house was on their way to go to Tempe. He quoted me $75. I said I'll TAKE IT. I was so relieved someone could come in 1.5 HOURS. Brandon called me later and gave me a better time frame. It was more like 2.5 hours later, but they CAME and in five minutes, moved the cabinet from the water damaged carpet and wall. Cabinet was so damaged that brown "mulch" from the rotten disintegrated particleboard fell from the bottom when they picked the cabinet up. We were all appalled, and were examining how soft and crumbling the saturated particleboard was, but I think it can be fixed. Carpet was all stained brown too, but I know someone who could clean that up too. This was my first time hiring movers. My neighbor that moved out recommended Light Brothers Moving Company. The day of my moving date they were running behind with their previous job, but they communicated they were going to be late and let me know when they were on their way. I have a light color couch that I was concerned about getting dirty. They washed their hands and wrapped it up in plastic including a majority of my furniture to protect it. The 2 guys moving everything for me also stopped to drop off some items at my storage unit prior to moving all my belongings into my new home. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wanted to give it a few days before posting a review to see if the company would contact me to rectify the situation - they have not. I had this company scheduled 3 months in advance to help me move my 1 bedroom apartment across town. The night before the move I sent an email confirming we were good to go at 9 am the next morning, to which I received a reply saying it would be more like 10-11. No problem. 10ish rolls around I receive a text saying they are sorry, running about 3 hours behind due to the job before me. I asked the ETA, to which they replied with 4-5 pm. I let them know that I had to be out of my current apartment that day and I am moving alone and was pretty desperate to get the move done. To which they replied that they were doing all they could and will for sure get it done for me that day. 3ish rolls around I texted asking for an ETA they then said at least 8-9 pm, I then again said how desperate I was to have this done and turn in my keys on time, additionally I had to work from home the next day and had a promotion interview in the morning. They again said sorry we're trying to get to you. 7pm comes, they say at least another hour or two before they will be on their way from their current job about 2 hours away from me. At this point it was looking to be at least 12 hours after their scheduled arrival, I eventually just said whatever come in the morning I will figure it out. Around 10pm I received a text that two guys could be on their way now coming from about an hour away, if I didn't mind a long night, they could do it. Obviously I should have said no, but I said sure send them. They arrived around 11pm. When they arrived, one guy came up to my apartment and said they should be able to do it within 2 hours no problem, he then started talking about how he goes to the clubs every night and so on, which was extra annoying and unprofessional given the situation. He eventually went down to find the other guy, came back up and said he was feeling under the weather, and they were going to have to reschedule. They then asked for more waters on their way out. At this point I was just so completely drained since I had been up moving my stuff on my own all day and stressed at what would happen if I wasn't able to make work and my interview in the morning so I was feeling pretty "under the weather" myself. I sent a text with the details to the guy I was in contact with about how dissatisfied I was, he said he'd be there at 6 am to get it done and I would get a discount. Come the next morning, the movers do show up around 645 am. I will say the two guys that actually did the move were great, had it gone as planned I would be giving them a good review instead of this. They show up start moving, 10 minutes in, one of them lifts one of my marble tables wrong and the glass on it shatters. (They said they would replace it, I have yet to hear back on that 5 days later now) it was fine, I get it, the risk you take with moving. Eventually everything does get moved. I received a 150$ discount which equates to about 20% of the job. I had sent an email to the owner as well as told the guy handling my job to have someone in charge call me and 5 days later now, I expect I'm never going to hear from them again about the table or otherwise. I ended up having to call out of my work on a Friday and missed my interview for a promotion because of this move that was specifically planned to avoid that risk. We have used this company for three moves now. The first two went well without incident. Friendly movers who were quick and careful. When you are paying by the hour the quick part is kinda important. This move however went a different way. We are moving from a 2 bedroom apartment into our newly purchased home that is around the same distance away as our last move. That last move lasted 3.5 hours or so. Since that time we have also reduced the amount of stuff we have, with a majority of the boxes stacked and readily easy to move. The movers also did not offer to wear masks. I am not fully vaccinated. We put our masks on but I guess they didn't take the hint. The movers were late. About an hour or so but I mean shit happens so no biggie. 3 hours later there was still a considerable amount to do. We hadn't yet loaded the 2 bedroom apartment I to the truck fully. This all in all took about 3.5 hours on its own. There was though an individual who liked to strike up a conversation and stop for for 5-10 min at a time. Come on dude. Time is money right now. We all get to the house and I specify boxes in the garage and furniture In the house. There is a very very small amount of furniture and the garage floor is empty and waiting. 2 hours in and some of the furniture is in the easy to access garage. Parts of my couch were left behind so they were unable to put it back the way it was before they took it apart. The bed they took apart is still in pieces and we still have more to unload. They did however find time to start up a small condo with some neighbors and such but oh well. Even after attempting to make everything as easy as possible this still took over 5 hours. A small 2 bedroom apartment moved into a larger home. Where as this company has been great previously this experience makes it a crap shoot. What crew are you gonna get? Will it be a reasonable amount of time or should you have just done it yourself? Is it gonna be $300-$400 or is it gonna be $600-$700? I suggest weighing some other options prior. Unfortunately this whole experience just left too butter a taste in my mouth. Oh, to add, I reached out to the manager/owner/POC during the move. The crew said the reason everything took so long was there were a lot of boxes. If they mean, a good amount of boxes stacked neatly near an egress point that led to an open garage for ease of access and mobility then yea, I guess. The POC also offered a discount. Not sure in the end how much it was but unfortunately it took bitching a little bit for that. This is not an indictment of the company or personnel but rather the review of a bad experience. After U Haul literally stole 200.00 from me ( senior citizen), I still needed to get bedroom furniture but had little money left. I've been sleeping on an airbed for some time and really needed a regular bed. I called this company, and while their quote was extremely reasonable, it was beyond what I could afford. I was devastated, to say the least. A short time later, they called back and found a way to make it happen! To say I'm grateful is an understatement! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. FOR MANY REASONS. They showed up 1.5 hours late despite confirming one day prior that they would be at our place at 1 pm. Our trailer had taken six parking spots at our new place. We were forced to start unpacking and moving without the help we hired. When they finally did show up, they didn't have the instructions that they were just unloading a trailer and helping to carry it up stairs. Their dispatch people didn't communicate that with them. They then argued with us about the price we were to pay, to which we had to show them our communication with their company to prove our price. Again, lack of communication between company and employees. While the moving guys were hustlers, they broke a valuable glass table. The owner Brandon Light then interrogated us about the table over text, before completely ghosting us. He stopped answering our texts and even our calls and voicemails. At this point, we don't know if they even have insurance to cover customer property. It seems they don't. Accidents happen too often for that to be acceptable in their line of work. In the description of the services we hired them for, they were supposed to bring their own dollies. They did NOT bring them. They used our personal dollies. They did have mats, but did not use them until we insisted on it so as not to ruin our wood furniture with the metal dollies. Its hot here in Phoenix. Duh. For whatever reason, the movers came completely unprepared for the heat. They did not bring their own water or towels... They asked US for waters and towels. We are moving in, we don't even have paper towels unpacked!! My father, kind man that he is, dropped everything and left to get them bottles of water. Since we had to start moving our belongings on our own, we were half finished by the time the two movers finally arrived, hours late. We STILL had to pay for two hours even though they only worked for ONE hour. This company was not willing to adjust the price. Payment is through Zelle, which is fine, but weird for a professional company. IN SUMMARY: - Disorganized - No communication with their own workers - No communication with customers - Argue about prices - Unfair pricing (will charge you for 2 hours even if you only needed them for 1) - Careless with items, won't take responsibility for breaking items. - Ghosted by the owner - Then they had the gall to ask for a positive review EDIT: The owner finally responded after I posted this review, continues to argue these facts, and accused me of lying. read more

We needed to re-buy our glasses and cookware but they would not give us any money back even with the expensive move. We tried to contact several times but after two weeks we left a review. The owner decided to show himself once public to make the company look better. This is extremely fake and needs to be pointed out. Accidents happen but you broke our things and need to replace them. We had a 16' self-moved truck to unload in Tempe and needed some help. I chose Light Brothers based on a combination of the price and reviews. The date and time of the move was confirmed six days beforehand and everything seemed on track. The problems began on the day of the unload. The movers were scheduled to come between 3-4 pm and spend at least two hours unloading. After 4 came and went, I called up Brandon, who said his guys were on their way and would be there within the hour. About an hour after that Brandon contacted me saying he had made a mistake and they were still finishing their last job. When I asked what time I should now expect the movers, he said he'd check with them. When I didn't hear back I asked again, pointing out that the apartment complex to which we had recently moved had an 8 pm noise curfew. Brandon replied that they now would be arriving "close to 7ish" and that I shouldn't worry about the noise curfew, as the movers "won't be making much noise when unloading." A quarter to 7, concerned with the lack of communication, I double-checked that we were still on track. Brandon needed to check with his guys with again. I was once again told that his movers were just finishing up with their last job and would be there in "about an hour," which at this point would be 8 pm. 8 pm came and went and no one showed up or contacted me, so I sought out Brandon yet again. This time one of the actual movers for our job contacted me and said they were still finishing up that last move, but they could *probably* be there by 10:30 pm. When I said that was simply too late, and asked what options we had, he suggested I call Brandon and see if they had any available openings for the next day. Long story short, our truck unload was scheduled and confirmed for 3-4 pm, was postponed by an hour or two repeatedly, and eventually ended up being cancelled. Brandon did offer an undisclosed discount for the inconvenience, but frankly the entire situation was inexcusable. After all this I sought out another moving company and scheduled an unload for 8 am the next morning, which went perfectly. I understand that with COVID, the Arizona heat, and the number of jobs in the summer season, things can become very complicated. The lack of communication and repeatedly false time tables was beyond the pale, though. I'm lucky I was in a situation where I could hold onto the moving truck for an extra day and had some place to stay other than an empty apartment. read more

I just finished a move from a two bedroom apt. into a mobile home. These guys are awesome! I couldn't be more pleased. My daughter hired this company to unload her trailer and move her belongings to her new apartment. Not only was I present for the move, paid the bill for this moving company, I also had ZERO communication/response from the owner regarding a broken table. Hiring and scheduling this company was a good experience for her. The actual experience of moving was not good. We ended up paying for two hours of moving help, when in reality the movers showed up over 2 hours late and by then we had half the work done. They refused to adjust the cost. Follow up communication with the owner of the company was horrific. A table was broken, the owner didn't respond to her until after she posted a review. I also texted and called, and he didn't respond to this as well. He not only refused to pay for the table his movers broke, he accused her of lying about her experience on her review. There was a communication snap and they were 3 hours late. I did have to call and ask about the ETA. They took full responsibility for the inconvenience and gave a reduction in the price of the move. I had the luxury to wait. It might have been a different story if I hadn't. I was told that the job before me 'went over'. I love that they can move in the evening. Most places close by 5pm. I would hire them again because of the care they took with my antique dresser and other items that I cared about. There was no damage and they are polite and take direction well. Was searching for a moving company and looked through many pages, saw Light Brothers was a fairly new one so I reached out. Brandon was really great in setting up a moving time that worked best for me. The morning of the move, Brandon reached to confirm the move, and the two movers, Robert and Kyle, called when they were 15 minutes away. Move took a bit longer than I pictured in my mind due to some of my furniture + the way the new apartment was set up, but Robert and Kyle got it done nice and fast while making a second stop for me.
