This place has incompetent management. They had a place in Hendersonville, TN that went out of business. After my experience at the White House, TN location I can see why the other place when out of business. We arrived at noon for lunch. The place was not very busy, and we got quick service. We noticed that the wrong food was delivered to another table. Later they brought someone else's food to our table. We then received our foot and mine was not even close to correct. They took it to the kitchen where they did a lazy attempt at fixing it. When they brought the food out, I told them I did not want it or anything else since they could not get the order correct. Whey refused to listen. They kept bringing me stuff. I had to get up and leave while the rest of the party finished their meal, because they just would not listen. We were told the manager was having to run the kitchen and that was the problem. If that is the case, then the manager shouldn't be allowed to flip hamburgers at McDonalds. With this kind of incompetence, I hate to think of the shortcuts they are likely taking with health and safety. read more

Food is typical bar food but in White House TN what else is there. So I have continued to go back with my son for for over a year. All but a couple of the servers are terrible, that is if you can get anyone to notice if you are even there. They seem to be too busy in the bar talking to the bar customers or doing shots with them or yelling at them to get out of their way. So today we sat and waited and waited and no one showed up and when she did she had an attitude as if we were bother her. Find someplace else to eat! read more

Not too impressed. We went in when it was not busy at all and still had to wait 20-25 minutes for 2 sandwiches. My beer tasted like soap. The fries and onion rings were extremely over fried and very hard. Parts of the ceiling appeared to be on the verge of falling down. So far so have been to Tavern 76 5 times, 4 times for lunch and once for dinner. I will concede that service is occasionally slow but our waitress, Heather, has always been very attentive and personable. As for the food, I have tried the Shrimp Po Boy, Philly cheese steak, Reuben, a burger called the Popper and a burger that had egg on it. My husband has had the pizza, burgers and the Philly. Each time the food has been consistently good and flavorful. The Philly and Reuben were the best. The fries are hand cut and fabulous. Get them with a side of ranch dressing since this place has very tasty ranch dressing! I was hesitant to get a Po Boy in a landlocked state but the remoulade was really good, the shrimp were decent and they didn't skimp on them. If I wasn't so in love with the Philly and Reuben I would order it again. My husband is pretty fussy and he said the Philly rocked and the pizza did too. My only suggestion is to dial back a little on the oregano on the pizza. Lastly, they have thin deep fried chips. I love them and was excited to see this but they have been over cooked both times ordered. This may just be my personal preference. I definitely recommend Tavern 76. Oh and I should mention that Monday's are $2.00 pints all day and most burgers are $5.00 and on Wednesday's pizzas are half price! read more

We have been coming to Tavern76 for several months, my wife originally asked if they would make the Reuben sandwich with turkey instead of corned beef. They said yes and she really enjoyed it. Today she asked for the same version of the sandwich she has always gotten and when it arrived it was made with corned beef. She asked the server if she could get it made with turkey again and the server said it "would take a while l, we just got a lot of to go orders called in". A few mins later the server came back to the table and said the cook wouldn't make it with turkey. No explaination, no can I get you something else, no visit from the manager about how we have had to change our policies, just the cook won't make it that way. I'm not sure if the several times she got her sandwich the way she likes was just pure luck or what the case might have been. I suppose there are lots of other places in WH to eat read more

Great food and amazing service! Had such a good time! They may have had a rough start when they first opened but I gave it another try. Anyone that didn't have such a great experience their first time should give it another chance. Since they've worked out the kinks, I think you'll agree, it is well worth another try. This place is horrible, I don't have extreme expectations but the food is just bland and tasteless.

The burger I had was dry with no seasoning and the pretzel bun was burned. The only flavor I could taste was fresh jalapeños.

We stopped there to watch the Kentucky Derby on TV on our way to Nashville. We had only drinks and nacho chips and dip but it had a friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go again. read more

***Identity Crisis*** This place is not sure what they want to be. A Bar n Grill? A Sports Bar? A Family Restaurant? How about none of the above. This place has the worst service I have ever seen!! The wait staff seems as if they could not care less if you need something. My server actually walked past our table 3 times and didn't seem to notice everyone was sitting with empty drinks. This was our second time giving it a try, but I don't think there will be a 3rd. As for sports, I saw on faceb**k that they played every game, every day. This might be true as they do have enough TV's but this is what happened to us... Our NFL team was playing the Sunday night game and we needed a place to watch it as we had just moved and did not have service yet. So we showed up about a half hour before the game was scheduled to start and when we asked which tv we would be able to watch it on the person seating us did not know. No biggie, we figured they would change the channel from the sitcom which was on every set and allow us to see it on a couple within our view. This actually turned into a nightmare as the manager said they could only put it on certain ones. Ok, so we adjusted our seating and continued on. We generally will order a couple of appetizers at the start of the game and then get our entrees around halftime, it took over 30 minutes for them to arrive and they were not very good. Extremely greasy! So halftime comes a little after 9 and we were told if we wanted food we needed to order because the kitchen closed in 30 minutes. I questioned this and asked "why so early?" The server said this is only on Sunday because they close at 10pm. Needless to say, I was livid since our game was not suppose to be done until between 10:30 n 11:00!! Every game, every day...Really. With this news, I immediately got the check and drove 30 minutes to a place in Hendersonville I knew would have the game on until it was complete and only missed a few minutes of the 3rd quarter. Also, it's all fine and well if you want to allow kids into your bar to eat, but... Don't get me wrong, I love kids and enjoy having fun with them. But there is a time and place for that and it's not a tavern. They do not treat pool tables with the greatest respect when playing on them. Just left this place for the third time. First time I went was opening weekend and they ran out of food and the service was slow. Second time I wen was about a week and a half later, the hostess sat us, waitress greeted us after about 15 minutes and proceeded to tell us they were out of all food and the kitchen was closed. I figured maybe they worked out the kink after being open for approximately a month, I was wrong. Seated quick and got our drinks, we ordered an appetizer, when the waitress came back to take our meal order she informed us they were out of the appetizer we ordered. We ordered a different appetizer along with our food order. We waited approximately 30 minutes with no appetizer. Asked our waitress and she said it would all be coming out at once. After another 5 minutes we told our waitress if our food wasn't out in 5 minutes we would pay for our drinks and go somewhere else. Half of our order came out in 5 minutes and the other half about 10 minutes later. Then the waitress charged us for the first appetizer they were out of. Won't be giving this place another chance. Yesterday I worked a 12 hour shift at one of our local hospitals and when I got done I was exhausted and starving so my husband and I decided to meet some friends that were having dinner and watching the Predators game at Tavern 76. We live in White House so we have been here before and ate and had drinks several times. When we arrived and sat next to our friends at the bar we were ignored. After about 10 minutes, I had to flag down one of the bartenders to try and come take our order. She didn't bring food menus. She didn't greet us. She didn't smile or say hello. She slowly walked over with a dirty look on her face and demanded my ID. So I politely pulled out my drivers license and handed it to her and so did my husband. We have the same last name obviously and our birthdays are two years apart. She holds on to mine longer and walks around the bar showing it to random people who are sitting there drinking which I find rude as hell and a violation of my privacy, but I just went along with it hoping I could get some food in my stomach soon. She has it for quite a while and finally comes back with a janky flashlight shining on my ID and says "something is wrong with it". My ID is my Tennessee state issued drivers license. It's not expired. It's not damaged in anyway. I'm 34 years old, turning 35 next month. It works at the grocery store to purchase wine or beer and when I've been pulled over or drove through a traffic stop, it works just fine when I have had to give it to the police to identify myself. I've never had any issue. Why would I? I explain this to her politely and pull out some other cards with my name and picture on them like a work badge etc and she takes it again, this time keeping it even longer. She was not polite or private about it either so strangers at the bar standing around were all discussing it and it was humiliating. My friends who already had their food and were eating were disgusted by it and wanted to leave so it disturbed their dinner as well. I had to ask another bartender to go get my license and bring it back to me because it's been so long at this point and I've been treated so poorly and unprofessionally that I am ready to leave, but my I need my state issued drivers license to legally drive my car home. Just overall a really negative, inexcusable, unnecessary experience. I am still in shock that I was treated this way. I'm a grown women and I spent the entire day serving our community and came in for a meal and a beer. This business should be ashamed. I'm appalled by the entire situation, and so our the friends that we were meeting. You just lost a lot of business. read more
