Our server was very friendly and attentive and checked in with us regularly. The tenderloin (only $10 w/side on Thursday) was a bit too salty for my liking. That's all I could taste in the breading. The onions and pickles were on the bottom of the tenderloin, not the top which I found odd too--this also soaked the bottom of the bun. Fries, I believe are Brew City fries or an equivalent which are one of my three favorite types of fries. The ranch was too thick for my liking. The $5 bread basket is a good value and a good start to your meal. As a suggestion, it might be better with olive oil/cracked pepper versus the marinara. But both types of bread (a soft "King's Hawaiian" type role and a focaccia) were excellent. The ambience is odd--I get South Padre Island vibes from the decor; but they played a bunch of club-type music. Nothing offensive, but it doesn't fit what they're trying to go for--if I can figure out what they're going for. We have seen this place look really crowded so the atmosphere may be very different when comparing weekdays vs weekends and when the university has all students in attendance. I've been meaning to try this place for a long time. They have a daily $15 all you can eat lunch from Monday through Friday. I came here for the first time on the Easter Sunday all you can eat buffet for $25 per person. It was the regular buffet, but they had Easter stuff like ham, turkey, Mashed potatoes and other sides. It was very great and the service was excellent. I look forward to coming back again, especially on Friday nights where they have live music as it's a great live music venue as well as restaurants. Stopped in last night for the first time with my boyfriend. The website looked really cool but we wish it was updated because we wanted to do the mini golf but unfortunately they are remodeling and had all of that stuff closed off and not available. So instead we decided to stay for some pizza and drinks. The food was okay and the staff was very friendly and periodically checked in on us. They do have special throughout the week which is nice. This is my first time here for the jazz and first impressions are a motherfucker night first of all, I had to chase on a waitress or waiter because obviously me sitting by myself I was ignored or maybe I wasn't white enough man walk past me at least six times and ignoring me order a margarita with salt around the glass it did not have salt around the glass. I said just put some salt in a container. They gave me a table salt if I wanted to fucking table so I could've got table myself off the table. They gave me a little comp drink, which ain't shit. Just had the Surf and Turf, steak cooked perfectly to medium rare and the lobster tail was fantastic! We also tried the smoked trout appetizer and it did not disappoint. Pizza has few ingredients in the center with a very wide bare crust around the outside. Little cheese or none. Crust was tasty. $18 was way overpriced for what it was. This is a nice addition to the strip. It's a different concept with fun things to do and a pretty decent menu. I only came for dinner, so I wasn't able to try any games. I hope to get back to try soon. I had the Tavern Burger which was pretty good. I love that I had the option to get a little corn on the cob as a side! The burger was juicy and filling. We had the plain margarita pizza and it did not impress us due to the lack of flavor. Extra ranch was $1 for a small cup but hey prices are going up. Maybe we picked a good night (Friday) but luckily the kids were well enough behaved and were not loud and running around. There were plenty of students here to enjoy all the games. The Carnitas Pizza was good, but not what we expected. It tasted a bit "greener" than we thought it would, likely due to the sauce base they used and almost over-powering avocado notes. Overall this place was amazing... let's go over the good and the not so good. The place itself looks small from the outside but is actually HUGE inside. Nice bar, great atmosphere, even has indoor putt putt and large yard games like giant jenga, bowling, connect four and more. The food... was DELICIOUS. The carnitas pizza with the jalapeños, carnitas, avocado, (red onion and cilantro removed for us) was one of the best pizzas we have ever had. The tequila steak fettuccine was also SO DELICIOUS, a little one the sweet side (which I'm totally okay with) tender steak, delicious flavor and a hefty helping. Already craving both and can't wait until the next time we go back. The drinks were also delicious highly recommend the somewhere in the beach fishbowl. Tastes like a jolly rancher. So good. Our server (I wish I recall her name) was so super sweet, was handling a lot of tables so she missed a few things here and there but corrected them immediately when asked. They even let us stay an hour past close. (We didn't realize they closed at 10, we were caught up in conversation and realized how late it was) they didn't even rush us. A few things that could be improved or just weren't my cup of tea It was LOUD.. like really loud, between the live band and the kids screaming in the putt putt area, it's not easy to have good conversations and not going to be the best place for someone who is hard of hearing. The parking isn't ideal, definitely too small of a parking lot than they should have, I know that's not necessarily something they can control, just mentioning to be prepared to have to park a little further from the building.. Hubby thought it would be a great place to try on a Saturday night and it was such a great idea. We started with the Tropical Paradise Fish bowl and it was delicious and great for 2 to share. We got the nachos and I'm a picky nacho connoisseur, and these have now become my new favorite nachos. Grabbed another Somewhere on a Beach fishbowl to go with our pizzas. We stopped by on a Thursday evening during 2 for 1 happy hour. I also took advantage of the $10 tenderloin special. It may be hard for me to try something new next time, because it was melt in your mouth good!
