Stopped by here over the weekend for quick lunch and I wasn't blown away by the food, but the service was great. I did make a reservation ahead of time, and I'm glad we did because by the time we were leaving it was really busy inside. I used to frequent this location when it was Fridays but it seems like they have a lot more room in this location compared to others and even have a patio from what I see. I only opted for a few appetizers as I wasn't too hungry Bang Bang broccoli - 4/10 could've been cooked longer and the sauce should be on the side, but it has some flavor. Maple gonchujang wings 9/10 These wings were really good and recommended by our waiter Madyson, and I'm so glad I got them. I do wish they were cooked well done as I had asked, and were just a bit smaller. (But that's my personal preference) Nachos with chicken 5/10 I feel like these might've been done before our other food because it was cold and barely had any chicken nor toppings. I did ask for additional toppings on the side which she brought quickly. I wanted a tequila based drink and she recommended a lemon drop with tequila, mango and guava juice and it was really good. Overall the experience was good, but the pricing is a little steep for the quality and quantity of the food. Madyson made the experience that much better as well, thank you.

I did take out from here. This Tavern in the Square location is one of the newer ones I was told. I did see the bar area and the space is spacious and nice bar area. The front desk staff were very nice and took my food allergies seriously and wrote it down and double and tripled checked with me of what they were. I got a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was soggy at the bottom when I went to go eat it and the chicken had like no taste to it. The sweet potato fries also were not that tasteful. I never come to this area so I doubt I will be back to this location.

We stopped here for lunch on our way back to Providence from Boston. The restaurant is not far from the highway, so it's an easy on/off stop. The menu was very much like other Tavern in the Square locations I have been before. Our server was very nice and professional. I had requested the salmon with no salt added and all vegetables as sides and she was very good about entering that request on the food order. My husband got the Sweet and Spicy Thai chicken salad, which was delicious and light. We liked our meal and our service. A great place in the Braintree area, right across from the mall.

Parking lot is an absolute nightmare but the service was great and food was good. We won't rush back but would be open to going again.

This place has so much space! It is a lot bigger than Weymouth. Looks like they have an outdoor area for warmer months. Overall the food is good and I like the bowl options. It is not inexpensive. Our server was attentive and explained the meals for us. We will definitely go back.

I had a really lovely experience at Tavern in the Square in Braintree. I arrived before my friend and was seated right away, which I appreciated. The whole place has this wide open, airy layout with plenty of seating, and the window-side tables give you such a nice view--especially with the fall scenery. It felt warm, inviting, and totally family-friendly. I ordered the salted caramel macchiato. I'll be honest--presentation-wise, it didn't look like the picture and was missing some of the fancy trimmings mentioned in the description... but the flavor made up for all of that. It was absolutely delicious. I also had a burger with Parmesan fries. The burger was solid, the fries were okay. Our waiter was soft-spoken but very attentive and genuinely tried his best, which I always notice and appreciate. Overall, I'd give my experience a solid four stars. Fair prices, cozy vibes, and I definitely plan on coming back.

The place has really good potential. The ambiance is a vibe, great for game day or just a Friday night. I wasn't blown away by the food.

the special Eggs Benedict Florentine [GF] $18 creamed spinach, poached egg, hollandaise, crispy prosciutto breadcrumbs, petite greens, brunch potatoes. not a single crispy prosciutto breadcrumb to be seen. not under the egg, not in the creamed spinach, not between the muffin and the cream spinach. no where. massive bummer cuz it coulda been delicious

I used to love this place, but unfortunately it's turned into nothing more than a money grab…read more The bathrooms are consistently filthy, and the staff act like they don't even want to be there. Today really sealed it for me. We came to celebrate my son's 10th birthday, and when we arrived, the internet was down so it was cash only--but there was no sign on the outside door. You don't find out until after you walk in, which already starts the experience off wrong. The manager working tonight (glasses, thinning blonde/gray hair) was incredibly rude and condescending. Zero customer service skills and no empathy whatsoever. He didn't seem to care that multiple machines were broken or malfunctioning: * Air hockey had no airflow and didn't keep score * Connect Four Hoops (red side) was playing by itself * Motorcycle games charged but wouldn't start * Basketball games were missing balls * Several other machines weren't working properly Instead of addressing any of this, he was selectively handing out game cards to other customers while repeatedly ignoring my son--the birthday boy--and our family. While we were waiting for food, he came over and asked whose birthday it was, as if I hadn't already told him earlier. Then he made a sarcastic comment saying, "clearly from the sign on the door." Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. There are way too many better options out there to spend this kind of money and be treated this way. I won't be coming back. 0/10 experience.

Omg, I wish I could rate this a zero. This was hands down the worst experience I have had there and…read morespent a mini fortune for it. Let's start with our waitress. She was terrible forgot order, left menus, brought over app. Plates when didn't get apps. Took glasses and didn't ask if we wanted more drinks, made us wait 20 mins for the bill and just over all not friendly. Then the food was awful just awful. Granddaughter got dogs in pretzel. They were charcoal inside ,grandson my chicken fingers were tiny 4 small tenders with the bottom of the fries maybe a handful. My husband's food in a giant bowl with a small ass portion of pasta. Just over gross. But it was a late lunch for us so we worked through it Lastly we spent a mini fortune on tickets like serious mini fortune and barley got tickets which is fine but when we went to turn them in there was not much to change In for. Like it all started at 100 tickets. Come on I have 2 kids with me and they couldn't exchange for much a lollipop that was 105 tickets really? What is it 25 cents. I know this sounds ridiculous but if I didn't just drop 200 plus dollars there I wouldn't be so mad. I will not return to your establishment and think that this was just highway robbery. It's unfortunate the experience as a whole was just anything but worth what I payed. Also the guy cleaning the table was spraying 5he tables on stream and it was spraying all over people and he wiped the food off the table onto the chairs. Just yuck. Toilets durty and it wasnt tgat busy apon arrival. No excuse.

Not 4 stars for The Fours~…read more When you think of The Fours you think sports bar, cold beer, pub food, and loud Tvs playing all the popular New England sports. The Fours was good once, but not this time. We went on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. It was not crowded at all which we liked. Our bartender Brian did not seem to be happy at all when he greeted us, but that was ok. Sometimes even servers have bad days and we just let it go. After ordering drinks we shared their Buffalo Fingers appetizer. I always loved this appetizer. It was still good but felt the chicken was a bit on the chewy side. Then, for entrees, I always get their Chopped Salad with Salmon on it. Their Chopped salad always tastes so good and with a big portion I usually bring the rest home. First off, the Salmon was overcooked and dry and I was so upset since I was craving a good piece of Salmon. The salad was still decent. My husband had their Hot Pastrami sandwich and this was excellent. His order always comes out perfect LOL! The good thing is when I told Brian about my fish he felt bad and compted the whole salad which was very nice of him. I will say I do like sitting on their patio when the warmer weather is here with a glass of wine, an app and people watch. Not sure if the food has gone down but I will say this place usually had better food and service than our last experience! Cheers~

We also ordered their Caesar Salad which was good. I do remember this spot before it was Drifters and it was called Idle Hour which I loved so much. But I will say I am excited that a new pizza spot is now in its place. I think my next time that I try this will be physically at the restaurant. My only concern is that it is very loud. It is a great place to go watch sports for sure!

Grabbed drinks here with a friend on a Saturday night and wow was it busy!…read more There was live music when we first walked in so the ambiance was quite loud... like I could barely hear myself let alone hold a conversation. The place itself was small too so the music really overpowered everything. But once the live music wrapped up the vibes were good! Not too loud that I was screaming over it, but still lively. I got the Heart of Stone which was delicious! Not too sour or sweet, but was definitely a strong cocktail. I had 3/4 of it and I was already feeling it. My friend got an Old Fashioned and she was a big fan! It went down quite smoothly and tasted good too. For $14 a drink, it was a little pricy but honestly I've seen places in Boston charge more. I would recommend coming here to grab drinks but maybe not a spot to catch up because of how loud it was. Would love to try their food as it looked pretty good!
