Aside from the decent food, the service is so unbelievably poor that it seems to be a chore to order food from this place. If you think you can speed up this process by maybe calling in ahead of time then you're out of luck my friend. Last time I called in an order I was told it would be ready in 10 and little did I know I would arrive 15 minutes after calling to find out they haven't even begun making my sandwich. Great place for a quick casual breakfast. Egg sandwiches are served on lightly toasted ciabatta bread- out of control good. Also love the eggs over easy with ciabatta, asparagus, shaved parm, and olive oil. Good lunch options too. read more

The god here is amazing. I live close enough to walk and go there at least three times a week. My go to order is the grilled cheese sandwich and it is amazing. I also get their banana smoothie which is better than any smoothie I have had at an actual smoothie place. read more

This place is a great lunch spot - although I've only had one thing from here, the Tonno Panni - its the bomb! Italian tuna, hot cherry peppers, mixed baby greens and balsamic dressing - you can't go wrong. I highly recommend it. read more

First time here, ordered a breakfast sandwich and a bottle of water, a little over 8 dollars. Defiantly expensive for what you are getting. I mean it does come on this ciabatta type hogie roll, but still 8 dollars. The sand which itself wasn't very big or hearty. Something you would get for a few dollars less and same amount of weight... I guess given the location it's expected. I will say that the sandwich was delicious. Only given three stars due to price vs plate. Not really getting what your paying for. If it was cheaper in their I would give it another star. Most likely wouldn't go back to price. If your rich or don't value a dollar, taste wise it is delicious. read more

I am at Tavolo 4 - 6 times a week and every time I am there I see many familiar faces. It is known as a local gem. Whether you're there for breakfast (great egg sandwiches), lunch (try the #27), or dinner (Thursday - Saturday new menu every week with fresh fish and meats) you can't go wrong. One of the owners, Patti, is a world class baker who makes fun cookies for the kids and delicious treats for the adults. The other owner Altoro is the head chef which is the most important thing for any restaurant. The town of Fair Haven wouldn't be the great place it is without Tavolo. read more

This Sicilian immigrant family owned and operated coffee bar-cum-restaurant has only a couple of tables and relies on to-go food (both hot and cold) and pizzas. Although serving excellent Italian sandwiches and dishes, Pronto's best are their KILLER pizzas. Pronto's also has a very good selection of homemade desserts and pastries, and for homesick Italian ex-pats, a small selection of imported products. My wife had several decent experiences here and suggested that our family go there for a "pronto" (ie quick) dinner tonight. We got there and it looked like a great place with a nice menu. The place looked a bit crowded so we asked if they could get us food "pronto" since our kids were hungry. I am sorry to report that 52 minutes later, we still hadn't been served. Finally the food showed up. My wife ordered a Tilapia dish that sounded great -- with pasta, etc. She ate a rubbery bite and then looked down. The fish was almost completely raw -- like sushi raw. Very disappointing after 52 minutes of waiting. Worse: when I took it back to the owner / chef he acknowledged it was "raw" and looked shocked and even, sort of, apologetic. But he refused to refund my money and then, only after I pushed him, agreed to refund the money for just the fish, but not for the rest of our dinner, which we left there since we surely couldn't wait for another 52 minutes for another dish and my kids were going nuts anyway. The owner was basically screaming at me. Very unprofessional treatment and very rude owner. Food is dangerous and the owner is, how should I say this, difficult. Go somewhere else. read more

Salads are decent, but pricey for a pile of lettuce. I find sandwiches to be overpriced for the quality. Ambiance is not really the kind of place you want to eat in with friends or family, unless it's just for a quick bite. Parking is virtually impossible since I think there are only a handful of spots there. I wouldn't call the service 'friendly' by any stretch, but never had any problems with them, except that they're slow if there are more than a couple of people ordering. read more

I go here often and all the food items are very very good; from pizza to sandwiches to pastry. Favorites of mine are the sausage sandwich, spinach polle, arugula prosciutto pizza, flour less chocolate cake and crostata. I use to love this place for breakfast but they appear to have a new cook who loves to add lots of salt. I need to remember to ask for no salt. Omelets come with slices of toasted bread with a drizzle of oil - they forgot to add the oil this morning. They're eggplant parm sandwich was good but haven't gotten it recently. Last night we ordered a bianca pizza with a side of tomato sauce. When we opened it, there was no ricotta cheese on the pizza (as described on the menu). It was just pizza dough with some melted cheese on it - very bland. There was also no side of sauce. I called the restaurant and the girl who answered the phone said "that;s weird - sorry" No further comment! I asked if I could speak to the manager, but was told he was too busy. That was understandable but I did ask that he call me at his convenience. Needless to say, no call received. It's a shame that there is no more customer service. We try to support local business but they are clearly not interested in making much effort. We will obviously never go back. read more

I went in with my daughter to get penne pasta with butter for her and as she was eating it I noticed that the penne was very hard and chewy- like it was in the microwave way to long. I asked to get a new fresh penne and they did but staff was not to friendly about it. Probably won't go back again if they would be willing to serve pasta like that to anyone... Great Paninis. The best in the area. Love the Tavolo panini with the soppressata and gorgonzola. The bread is crispy and just the right amount of ingredients - try their breakfast paninis. Great salads to go and amazing pizza. read more

I only recently learned about Tavolo Pronto from a friend in Red Bank. What a wonderful selection of foods, soup to nuts, breakfast to dinner, and more. I have special dietary needs, but can customize what I like and am able to eat a variety each time I visit, often! Wonderful for family, business, or just a personal lunch. Grazie! read more
