Our second time going to Birravino, and the food was once again amazing! All dishes were delicious, drinks were delicious too! Good portion sizes. And Vaugn is awesome, great service and on point explanations of all questions. 10/10!

4.75 for high quality food that is just missing that exceptional wow factor to push it to 5 stars. Service was timely, friendly and had a warm feeling. Ambiance was casual with families, couples, etc. There is a good amount of seating inside but reservations are highly recommended. 1. Wine list - Huge huge Italian wine list with smaller names and unfamiliar names. Did my research and got a bottle of rosso montalcino ($69) which was excellent to pair 2. Meatballs - tender, doesn't fully fall apart but light and almost melts in your mouth. Sauce is light but full of flavor 3. Eggplant parm - not spicy even though supposed to be spicy rigatoni with it. Huge portion. Took half home. Pasta was delicious with enough sauce and al denté as I like 4. Tiramisu - one of the better ones I've had. Not alcoholic. Moist and excellent balance of layers. Shaved chocolate on top is a nice touch 5. Chocolate torte - deliciously creamy and lighter than I thought. Full chocolate flavor. Comes with a fior di latte gelato which was high quality. Overall an excellent high quality Italian dinner. No wonder why it's hard to get weekend reservations. Highly recommended and will definitely be back when in Red Bank and craving Italian.

I'm giving it a 5 stars Bec the service was awesome. Our server was very attentive and constantly checks on us. The meatballs was very tender , well balanced with the tomato sauce that's not too acidic. The sauce was not heavy at all and I love the fresh basil. The chicken parm , which I don't normally order was recommended by the server and did not disappoint. It was tender, moist chicken cutlet with crispy, flavorful breading, balanced by a vibrant, not too salty or acidic marinara sauce and, melted mozzarella, served with rigatoni. The desserts we got were super delicious and not too sweet. We had a 5 pm reservation and was able to self park on their lot.

Lively place for lunch. For a Friday at lunch was very busy. Service great and food was memorable. Appetizers greet of calamari and mozzarella. Enjoyed my shrimp dish. Finished off with cappuccino. A strong recommendation.

Had a fantastic lunch with my family, yesterday. Davide was our server and he was awesome. Made us laugh and was very attentive. We sat in the outside room next to the main restaurant and it was so relaxing. I loved the decor and it was the perfect setting. The food was absolutely amazing. True Italian food. As a Vegan, I had enough to eat. Wish I lived near here, because it would be my go-to for a great day or night out.

I really wanted to love this place, especially after hearing so much about it, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. The space itself is beautiful, I especially loved the covered outdoor area, which is really well done. That being said, the overall experience fell short. Our reservation was canceled just minutes before we arrived, and with no explanation of why that happened and then when we got there, no one greeted us at the entrance, which didn't set the best tone. As for the food, it looked promising but missed the mark. The calamari were dry and lacked flavor, the Caesar salad was underwhelming in both presentation and taste, and the spicy rigatoni, which I had really high hopes for was just okay and didn't stand out. It wasn't the experience I had hoped for, and my group of five all felt the same way. It's also pricey for what you get! With so many other great spots to try in the area, I probably wouldn't return.

Birravino never disappoints! The ambiance is warm and lively, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I had the cozze oreganata to start - absolutely delicious, and you must use the bread to soak up every bit of that amazing sauce. For mains, the burrata pizza and the Sunday Sauce were both outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish! Highly recommend.

Found this place on Resy and decided to come try it out for a little date night. We had a reservation so we were sat immediately. My partner and I both loved the decor in here. It felt like we were at someone's home for dinner. We also were fans of the open kitchen concept they had, we could see all the ingredients they use, the pasta being made, and the chefs at work. Throughout the restaurants they had plants and fun trinkets hanging up on the walls. My partner also wanted me to include how he loved this bike rack hanging on the ceiling, it did look super cool. The restrooms were clean, everything was super tidy in here! I wish we remembered the name of our server because he was spectacular. He had such an amazing personality, made us laugh, made sure we had everything we needed, and make sure we were taken care of!! The free bread was a 4/5: it was a good texture but I felt like the sesame taste was overpowering. Calamari was a 5/5: perfectly breaded and cooked. I love calamari it's one of my go to appetizers. And this one was perfect. It was tender, not too chewy, and well seasoned. At other restaurants I've been to, it was too cooked where the squid would shrivel and detach from the calamari but this one was AMAZING. If I wasn't saving my stomach for my pasta I would've ate the whole plate. The prosciutto e melone was a 3/5. It was a good flavor combination between the savoriness of the prosciutto, sweetness of the melon, topped with the herbiness of the mint. A very refreshing bite, but it wasn't anything insane, it's just melon and prosciutto at the end of the day, it was good to try but I wouldn't order again. My partner got the Mezzo Rigatoni and he relates it a 4.5/5. He loved the texture of the rigatoni, which I agree with, it was the perfect Al dente. He liked the flavor of the red sauce although he notes that even though the sauce was good it overpowered the flavor of the eggplant and couldn't taste the eggplant that much. But he says regardless of that the sauce was super good and he loved it. I got the Ragu Di Brasato and I give it a 4/5. Like I said previously, I LOVE the pasta texture. My sauce was kind of like a beef stew which was something I've never tried before as a pasta. I liked the hazelnut bits throughout the sauce that gave it a bit of a crunch and the beef was super tender. The sauce was pretty good but it was a little salty for my taste, but it could be my fault as I had a good amount of Parmesan added on top when the waiter came by. I wish we were able to get dessert but we were too full. But we were satisfied with our food and the server we had made the experience even better

Spinach arancini

What a lovely and delicious lunch. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The space is fun and offers plenty of dining areas with a prominent bar filled with locals and knowledgeable bartenders. The portion sizes are significant so be ready to share. I really enjoyed the spinach arancini - yum! Overall, a very nice spot!

Margarita Pizza

Listen up - This may just be the best restaurant of the year for me (I'm aware it's only March) Everything was amazing. From the moment we sat down, to the moment we left. The ambiance of this restaurant, paired with a great menu selection and friendly staff, made this restaurant one I'll be dreaming of for days to come till I return back. We started with a Cesar salad to share and a margarita pizza. The salad was delicious - I love a good Cesar. The pizza was unreal. So fresh and delicious. Best restaurant pizza I've ever had. I then had an Aperol spritz and an eggplant for my main dish. That meal was 20/10. The eggplant was cooked to perfection and laid over a bed of house made pasta. I can't wait to get my hands on this dish again. My husband had the lemon chicken and enjoyed it too. He did state that my meal was phenomenal and he would order that next time. Ended the night with a raspberry tart and a cheesecake. Woah - these are not your regular defrosted desserts like at other places. These two desserts were so fresh. You don't want to miss out on these when you're here. Honestly, I can continue rave about this place, but go dine for yourself and enjoy the experience. Looking forward to returning back.

Ambiance and service is 10/10. This is a great upscale pizza/Italian restaurant in red bank with plenty of parking. The menu was a bit pricey but it's good for a special occasion. The server allowed us to take our time and did not rush our dining experience.

Barbara S.

What a beautiful restaurant! The vibes almost compete with the food- I said almost lol. We went with a party of six. They accommodated every need for each person seamlessly. The waitress Marie was so friendly. She had great information and recommendations. Every person with me said the meal was the best they ever had. I got the eggplant and it was so fresh and flavorful. It was made with marinara on the eggplant and placed on fresh pasta which is glazed with their spicy vodka sauce... the result is delicious. To add to the meal, Marie told us the pasta is handmade there...and the mozzarella is made fresh every morning! The food is well worth the price point. It's a great time there. The restaurant is high class and has great food and service! Another great time with great food at Birravino.

My second time at Birravino and it was somehow even better than the first! The service was incredible, our waitress answered every question we had and offered some wonderful recommendations. The food was even better this time, everything was so fresh and it all exceeded my expectations. This is a great place for friends, family, or even a date night- just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time because it is popular. I think this may be my new go to Italian spot in NJ!

The menu was large and we had two options as part of a food tour I was on. I was able to try the scarpariello wings and boardwalk pizza. The wings were wood-fired with their special blend of seasoning and sauce along with cherry peppers. These were really tasty. The wings were a good size and the chicken fell right off the bone. The sauce had a slight kick to it with the cherry peppers present. The wood aspect of this dish was very noticeable too. The boardwalk pizza had house-made chorizo sausage, green pepper, onion, parmesan, Pomodoro, oregano, and red pepper flakes. This was alright. The crust was a little underdone for me, so it was a little flabby. The chorizo was the best part. I feel like jalapenos would have been a better choice of pepper here. The sauce was light and appetizing too. I also had a piece of bread that came out warm and paired nicely with the sauce from the wings. I was glad bread was provided to soak up that sauce! Will I go back? Probably.

It was a very nice high-end charcuterie platter. 5/5 Stars. - Fried Calamari - They lightly floured and fried it. I personally preferred a little spicier. 4/5 Stars. - Orrechiette pasta served with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and sausage, broccoli rabe, and basil in garlic & oil. They overcooked the sausage, but regardless, it truly was exceptional. 5/5 Stars - Shrimp scampi - It was overcooked. 3.5/5 Stars. - Boneless Roasted Chicken Cacciatore - the chicken was so tender and juicy. 5/5 Stars. - Pork Loin Giambotta - They grilled it to perfection, and it was still juicy.
