Chicken Parm with side of pasta

There were definitely some highlights to our visit to Little Buca. We appreciated that they take reservations and were seated right away. The complimentary bread and fried zucchini were a nice and welcoming touch. It's also BYOB, which is always a plus. The burrata appetizer was excellent--creamy, fresh, and flavorful. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn't quite live up to the promising start. The chicken parm was just okay--not fork-tender as I'd hoped, and at $48, I expected a much higher level of execution. It really could have used a serrated knife to get through. What was even more surprising was being charged $30 for a side of linguini for two of us to split. It's hard to understand how a simple pasta side isn't included at that price point but if you are going to charge it shouldn't be the same cost as an entree. For dessert, I ordered biscotti and vanilla gelato, but they were out of gelato. I passed on dessert altogether at that point, and after that, it felt like we were forgotten. We waited quite a while just to get the check, which was a disappointing end to the night. Not sure if it was just an off night for the kitchen, but with so many great options in the area and the high prices, we won't be returning.

Welcomed by 2 at front door with a bright smile Josh waited on us and was very friendly and knowledgeable We had 3 appetizers the octopus carpaccio which was amazing, meatballs and the burrata special Followed by the black truffle lobster pasta delish and the chicken scarpariello (spel?) and their Rome pasta which was truly amazing It's BYOB which is always nice especially since they had proper glassware for every varietal we had To finish off the meal they gave us a honey fig grappa which was so delish A must try and we will def be going back

Pasta Romano or their Nerano makes you feel like you are back in Italy. Hidden gem in Little silver and it is BYOB!

She ordered the rigatoni in a very special bolognese sauce, and I had the chicken scarpariello.

Back room of pizzeria faire trying very hard to pass itself off as elevated Italian. Noise level…read morefrom passing NJ Transit commuter rail is disturbing to even the most casual conversation. Wrong appetizer delivered, setting back the dining experience 15 minutes. When the sausage and beans finally did arrived, we wished we had opted for the incorrect alternative initially delivered. Beans and sauce were very good, but the sweet sausage was dry, as if it spent the afternoon sunning under a heat lamp. Special tagliatelle was overcooked and the guanciale was crisped to the point of uncomfortable crunch. Risotto was the highlight, tasty and well prepared. Patio seating is very uncomfortable and reminiscent of the scene in Animal House where the Delta bros, in this case hostess, did a weed out on sight, separating those they connect with and sending the rest to the patio hinterland. Policy states inside seating is first come, first accommodated, but parties were clearly being seated in the patio despite suitable tables for the party size being available in the main dining room. Mediocre food led us to the decision to pass on desert. If your looking for elevated Italian, Anjelicas or Tramas are far superior choices. Dusals in Freehold is a better alternative for pasta and red sauce standards. Food level does not support the attitude of this establishment.

The sauce was a tad too sweet for me. Lastly we had the pan seared chicken. I absolutely loved it it was hot for my wife lol, but again cooked to perfection. I loved the service and the food. We will be back again for pizza but will try the pasta. Was pleasantly surprised

It had the feel of a Tuscan restaurant. The host, Oscar, is charming and attentive. After we were seated, our server, Enver, advised us to order all the food at once and he would figure out what to bring out as appetizers, and then after some time to digest, the main courses. This is what we ordered. Appetizers: Deep fried stuffed olives - very tasty Roasted peppers with ricotta - get this - amazing Meatballs with ricotta - delicious Main course: Tagliolini Al Forno - Very good but if we had to pick one thing to exclude out of all the things we ate, this would be it. Spicy Rigatoni - Not on the menu but knew about it through other reviews. It lives up to the hype. In addition to crushed red pepper there are minced hot peppers in the sauce. You can't come here and not get this. We shared everything and I recommend family style so you can taste as many things as possible. Another off menu item that people rave about is the eggplant parm but Enver said they only serve it for dinner. I will be back. PS - After our meal, we started chatting with Oscar and he pointed out that behind Anjelica's is a Squash and Swim Club. It has two indoor squash courts and indoor swimming pool that looks like something from the 19th century. Really cool and worth a look if you are there in the afternoon.
