Needing an afternoon pick-me-up, I decided to visit the new Baba Java/pop bar at Meadowbrook for a latte. I've always liked the Hoover location for their ambiance, coffees, and food. This location appears to be bigger, has lots of tables and chairs, no couches but has two long rows of seats and lots of outlets to plug in your electronics. The staff was friendly, kept the tables bussed, trash cans emptied, and provided quick service. My usual honey habanero latte was delicious, and the connecuh pimento scone was tasty. Pop bar: the pops looked so delicious but I was too full to get one. Lots of flavors to choose from! Edited to add: what a great idea to have a popbar in a coffee place. While I was here, there were more people who came for the pops than the coffee. Entire families! At $6 a pop, it can add up pretty quickly. Lol The music was at a comfortable level, but the noisy sound from the popsicle bar display is quite annoying for those who don't wear earbuds, or want to have a conversation. I always look at how the bathrooms are at new businesses. The two family- style restrooms were big, clean, and well supplied. I hope they remain this way. I wouldn't mind having a Baba Java in the Hoover Met/Finley Center area!

Was in the area because of work and wanted to try some local coffee and was not disappointed. Honestly I couldn't find any faults in this place. It was delicious And the price was reasonable and I love that they actually have some interesting alternate snacks As well as delicious coffee. A great place to revisit

    Unflavored oat milk late.

Quite possibly the best coffee I've ever had. I enjoyed an unflavored latte with oat milk. It was incredibly creamy and smooth. Too bad we live 7 hours away.

Out looking for an afternoon Saturday coffee place and stumbled upon Baba Java. They offer a wide selection of coffees... Specialty coffees, iced coffee, brewed coffees, lattes, espressos, teas and pops!! Pops?? What are pops you are wondering??? Well, you will have to give Baba Java a try and find out for yourself!! The selection of pops they carry is awesome!! Trust me... You will be glad you did!!

Baba Java has never disappointed me. They use high quality ingredients and truly care about value. Everything on the menu is excellent and recommendable. A favorite spot for Birmingham.

Bad coffee with sugar in the bottom

I've heard such good things about this place, Well me and my husband did not enjoy our first and last visit and we were wearing a rich men north of Richmond and make the 4th of July great again shirts for fun not really being political just threw it on to match really! for starters they took our order and we ordered a honey lavender latte and a Carmel latte iced. They did not ask what size cup we want which is fine but they also did not add our flavorings or any ice and left our drinks on the counter and walked off not calling out or names! So in all we paid 11.50 for small cups of burnt cold not iced coffee

It ended up being perfect--sweet but not overly sweet, and really flavorful. I also signed up for their rewards program and got $5 off my first order, which was a nice bonus. I originally wanted to sit outside since the weather was so nice, but ended up sitting inside. Next time I'll try to get there earlier to grab an outdoor spot. Parking is pretty tight--the front lot is small--but I was lucky to find a spot, and I noticed some people parked on the surrounding streets. Overall, it was a really good experience and I'm excited to go back!

Nevertheless, we sat at one of the high tables and enjoyed our coffees. I noticed that they had one of the machines that dispense little art prints (Inciardi ?) but signs said they were out of stock. Too bad because they're very popular in New England and I had a great time searching for these machines and seeing what prints I'd get. I've started a collection. I'll come again for coffee, and hopefully will get pastries, and art prints.
