I drove through what seemed like a sea of bugs from Oakland and my windshield wiper cleaner was no where near cutting it. I came to Tay-Van mainly with the hope to see out of my windshield and get some of the bugs off before continuing north and they made my car SO clean! This place is completely unprofessional. Very young and unprofessional staff. This old guy who was the manager is very stuck up and rude. I went for a car wash three days ago and like normal it's going and the car was is over and they miss spots and I get home and I notice I spot of paint is missing from my front bumper! Not just a small thing it's a 3 inch by 3inch spot completely gone! So I go to confront them and they act like nothing happen. The old dude says it's nothing and it's from my plate rubbing it. (My plate hasn't been on my car for 6 months since I bought the car) he keeps bringing up that I could be ticketed for it and that there are other bad things on my bumper. Like dude okay I know that but what can we do about the spot your shitty car wash took off. He said nothing wouldn't even pay me back. I'll never go again and you shouldn't either. read more

OK, so yes! I mean this is essentially a drive through wash. But NOT TRUE! They give your car a "brush-bath" before it enters the wash machine and towel dry it when you are done. All while you are seated inside. I have been to a few others in Redding and I must say this will remain my favorite. The employees are really nice also! read more

I like it when one of the senior staff and/or owner is around with the young-men as they wash the vehicles. They are really working hard on washing the vehicle. If its just the young-men that are just present running the show, they tend to slack off. I have to agree with the customers who complained about the drying though, they need to improve on drying! They need to start with the windshield in completion first then go to the front of the vehicle and dry Top to Bottom. They increased their prices for dryers and they do need to improve! Otherwise, we would have given a five star instead of a three star rating. Thanks! read more

Employee was not helpful in guiding my tire in to the metal rails until after I felt my rim scraping. There are several scratches and my rim is ruined now. I will not be returning. read more

Excellent hand wash in the beginning followed by a machine wash and finished shed off with a hand drying.

What great value!! For $9 I have 3 people with brushes working to get all the bugs off...one actually ran his bare hand over my windshield to make sure none were left behind! Then a hand towel dry as I come out. You guys rock! read more

I loooove how my car looks after the Polish Wax! These guys are very thorough and quick! They work as a team to pinpoint and give attention to the dirty spots on your vehicle before sending it through the wash. On the other side of the wash is a man waiting to towel dry your car. Been coming her for the last few years. I enjoy washing my own, but it takes a lot of time to do it right. So we come here when we are short on time. I've taken my Dodge diesel, wife's new 4runner and our new Tundra through this car wash. The guy's do a good job. I wish they would dry the vehicles better. We always buy the five wash deal. And we do tip every time as well. This is the only car wash I've ever taken our vehicle's through. I've never seen brush marks or anything like that on any of my vehicles. And all my vehicle's are new, so not sure about other reviews saying that. We will keep coming here! read more

I come here when my husband doesn't want to wash the car. I'm too short wash it myself. This car wash is pretty good. They do basically what I expect from a car wash. They hose it down, scrub off the bugs, send you through, and then they kind of dry it off at the end. They have vacuums available, but I never use them. It's not above and beyond service, but it gets the job done. read more

Have you ever been to a car wash and your car looks dirtier when you leave? This is one of those places... Worst car wash ever...they are too much in a hurry to dry your car that they leave hella watermarks everywhere. If I could give this NO STARS I would! Took my car through Tay Van car wash on hilltop and this is what I came away with (It won't let me add a picture but if I could you would see scratch marks on my brand new car that swirl up and down). I Let the owner know and he said maybe something from the road flew up, swirled around and scratched your car...or maybe a tumbleweed...(after I told him I lived in the country...stereotype much?)?? This is a brand new car and those are scratch marks! He wouldn't take any responsibility and tried to wax it off...it's scratched off the paint!! Also he told me that he gets 6000 cars through there a month...I guess that was in response to me saying he's lost my business. I've gone to that car wash for over 20 yrs and I would've thought that the owner would've at least owned up to their fault in damaging my car and try to fix it. I told him several times it looks like the brush and he fought with me on that but there could've been a rock in the brush or a snag on the brush top. His response was my whole car would've been scratched....NOT if the rock fell out or the washer only used the side of the brush that scratched my car in that one spot. This guy doesn't need business apparently so he didn't help me at all. VERY poor business and he's lost my business and anyone I know for good!! P.S. this review would've been so much different if he would've at least acknowledged that it could have POSSIBLY been their fault. read more

Twice in last three weeks when I went inside to pay they hand wrote on the ticket a higher price. When I questioned it the second trip, as no one else did while I was there, they told me they decided to raise the price but still had a bunch of the old forms to use up. When I questioned it further, they just said to hurry up and make up my mind so they could either pull my car off the line or let it go. Very rude and VERY ADAMANT! As an embarrassed sucker, I let it go. Have to give it one star to post, but should get a NEGATIVES five stars for dishonesty! read more

First and last time I go there. You can tell those kids that work there have no experience cleaning cars. One kid was standing and had the brush down on the ground. Do these people realize those brushes pick up dirt and rock? Then he wants to use it on your car?! (smh) the rear bumper was still dirty and you can tell where it wasn't scrubbed. The towel dry is a half ass job they dont really dry everything off. Did I go back and complain? No. I shouldn't have to go back and tell them how to do their jobs.
