1.) CUSTOMER Service - 6 out of 5 Stars! DAVID WEST is hands down, the BEST in the industry and…read moretreated us professionally and fairly when things didn't go as planned with a defective appliance. He KNOWS these appliances inside and out. 2.) SELECTION: this store has it ALL. It's like a kid in a candy store--the best and widest variety of every appliance for your home. 3.) VALUE: David did everything he could to research the best products for our (limited space) condo while ensuring the best prices. Besides our refer and dishwasher, we'll be buying ALL our appliances from Friedmans (and David) in the future. Thank you Dave and Friedmans! C & D Crosby

On delivery day, a crew of only two movers arrived and was unable to complete the in-home placement. The unit was left outside. This was a direct failure to fulfill what was explicitly stated in the contract. To avoid delaying our project, we had to coordinate seven people on short notice to move the refrigerator into the house ourselves, and minor damage occurred during the process. When I raised this issue, the response was equally disappointing. After an initial reply, the salesperson stopped responding entirely. When I called the store, I was told that in-home delivery was not their responsibility and that I needed to follow up with the salesperson--despite the contract clearly stating otherwise. In other words, they neither honored the agreed terms nor took responsibility afterward. Very disappointing experience, especially for a high-end purchase.

I purchased an 11-year old Kenmore Elite fridge for $400 from this place less than 3 months ago. I…read morefelt assured that they offered a 3 month warranty and the fridge looked clean and nice. I thought refrigerators last a long time so 11 years isn't too old. First problem: Soon after we received it, there was water all over the floor. We had trouble contacting them. My husband called and texted our address to them, then we heard nothing for over a week. I called and finally got someone to come over to "fix" the problem. After they "fixed" the problem, it happened again. So, the problem was not fixed. Second and final problem: There was a power outage last weekend. First thing we noticed was the fudge bars weren't as frozen as they normally were the next day. The day after that, water everywhere. Then we realized the fridge and freezer were't cooling although everything was on and the digital displays said they were at the correct temps, but they weren't. So, I call this company, but no answer. I text, and told them about this and the power outage. They don't call back. Sometimes they return text messages. That evening, I snooped around the back and found that the relay device was melted on one side and rattled when I removed it and shook it, meaning it was fried and needed to be replaced. Also, the condenser was super hot to the touch. The next day, the repair man, Alejandro, came late. They said someone would come "after 4" and he didn't come until nearly 6 P.M. We called and texted to find out when someone would show up, but no communication. He said the relay needed to be replaced, and that when he put a new one on, the fridge still didn't work, so the compressor is bad. He told us the power outage caused this and it's not their fault so they won't cover the repair. They cannot prove that!! It could have just been a coincidence. He admitted to me they had put a new condenser into this unit before selling it. I spoke to a professional repair man, and he said that putting a new condenser on a fridge is very difficult and can allow contamination to get into the gas lines and is generally not done even by professionals, and if it IS done, the fridge won't last that long after doing so. So, Alejandro offers to buy a new compressor and charge us $250 to install it. He said I should contact PG&E and submit a claim to get them to reimburse me for my expenses since this problem was caused by the power outage, but in the mean time all my food is going bad and I'm stuck without a working fridge!!! Resolution: I took the $400 loss, did not give this company or their "repair men" any more money, and bought a new fridge which just arrived today. Moral of the story: Don't trust the products you buy from this company and don't feel reassured by their 3 month warranty. Good luck if you do decide to buy something here.
