Purchased a 48" built-in Sub-Zero refrigerator from Friedmans. The contract clearly included in-home delivery ("deliver into home use Harvey"). On delivery day, a crew of only two movers arrived and was unable to complete the in-home placement. The unit was left outside. This was a direct failure to fulfill what was explicitly stated in the contract. To avoid delaying our project, we had to coordinate seven people on short notice to move the refrigerator into the house ourselves, and minor damage occurred during the process. When I raised this issue, the response was equally disappointing. After an initial reply, the salesperson stopped responding entirely. When I called the store, I was told that in-home delivery was not their responsibility and that I needed to follow up with the salesperson--despite the contract clearly stating otherwise. There's so much I want to say about Friendmans Appliance that I don't even know where to begin. Whenever I'd see their commercials on TV, it always made me want to visit their store but I never had a good reason to until recently. We were in the market for a new fridge and decided to pay them a visit after not seeing what we really wanted at local big box stores. As soon as my wife and I stepped foot in the store, our minds were blown. The staff was super friendly, and most especially Scott. He was super knowledgeable on every product. He didn't try to push any product just to make a sale, but instead wanted to make sure that he made the best recommendation based on our specific needs. He knowledge and experience was second to none. Scott helped us find and purchase the fridge that was just absolutely perfect for our home. We scheduled the fridge to be delivered a week later. We had the option to have the fridge delivered a few days later, but we were going to be out of town. The reason I bring this up is because we wouldn't have to wait weeks just like what would've happened if we purchased a specific fridge from one of the big box stores. On delivery day, Allen called to inform me that they were running behind schedule and were stuck in traffic. I didn't mind because I expected delays since we scheduled the delivery for a Friday. What I appreciated was the fact that Allen called to give me a heads up instead of me sitting around wondering why they were late. That's the type of courtesy that you don't really get these days, but Friendmans did not disappoint. Once both Allen and Alfredo arrived, they were super meticulous and careful with handling the removal of our old fridge and installing our new one. Despite there being some tight turns and corners, they were so skilled that they didn't even touch the door and any walls. Their ability to maneuver carefully and safely was by no means an exaggeration. They left no mess and made sure to clean up and explain everything that we needed to know about our new fridge. They were very clear and took special care to make sure that we were satisfied. Would I recommend Friedmans to my friends and family? You bet your sweet... BLEEP... I would! Washer died FOR THE LAST TIME just before we left for vacation. Instead of repairing again, it was time for new. Found the washer we wanted on their website, and purchased it, with delivery/haul away. Within 1 minute of completing the order, someone from Friedman's called and gave us a window for delivery the day after we got home. 9-1pm was our window, and at about 8:45am they called and said 'be there in 15 minutes'. They were prompt, courteous, and professional. William Jose (one of the 2 delivery guys) went above and beyond in helping to clean out behind our old washer which had leaked water and therefore made a mess with some dust and debris that was back there. He scrubbed it, dried it, and along with Alfredo- they moved it right into place. Filled it so we could see it working, gave me all the paperwork and off they went. Here for less than 30 mins, and I have a new Speed Queen washer that I've already used (lots of laundry after a week at the lake!) I'd definitely recommend, and these guys were great! read more

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Failure to Honor Paid Services and Invoice Commitments (Delivery on 7/17/2026) I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Friedman Appliances. We selected this company because it represented itself as a full-service appliance provider capable of handling delivery, relocation of existing appliances, and installation. Unfortunately, the service we received fell significantly below the expectations created at the time of purchase and the services we paid for. Our delivery was scheduled for Friday, 7/17/2026, with a delivery window of 1:00 PM-4:00 PM. During the entire scheduled delivery window, we received no phone calls, updates, or communication regarding the status of our delivery. After the delivery window had passed, we contacted the office at 4:15 PM to request an update. We were informed that the delivery team was coming from Vacaville and was delayed due to traffic. However, this explanation was difficult to understand because we are approximately 20 minutes away from Vacaville, yet the delivery team did not arrive until 6:13 PM. The only communication we received was from the truck driver at 5:33 PM, shortly before arrival. The lack of communication was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. Customers should not be expected to set aside an entire afternoon waiting for a delivery without receiving any meaningful updates when delays occur. However, the delivery delay was not the primary reason for our dissatisfaction. The main issue was Friedman Appliances' failure to provide services that were specifically requested, paid for, and documented on our invoice. At the time of purchase, we clearly explained to the salesperson that we needed our existing washer and dryer relocated to another location and connected. We paid for the hookup service, and this request was documented on the invoice. We relied on this written commitment when deciding to purchase from Friedman Appliances. When the delivery team arrived, they refused to connect our existing appliances and stated that they "do not work for the seller." This response was extremely disappointing and confusing. The sales team, delivery team, and installation/service teams all represent the same company, and customers should not be responsible for resolving internal communication failures after payment has already been made. The situation became even more frustrating when the driver/installer instructed us to call the office ourselves to resolve the issue. This should not have been the customer's responsibility. If there was a misunderstanding between departments, Friedman Appliances should have handled the communication internally and provided a solution. Customers should not be placed in the position of coordinating between different teams within the same company. When we contacted the office for assistance, we received inconsistent information. We were initially told that they could install the new appliances and move the existing washer and dryer, but they could not connect the old appliances. Later, we were told they could not even move the existing appliances. The explanation and available solutions continued to change, leaving us without a clear resolution and without the service we had already paid for. The office later informed us that they could potentially arrange for a third party to connect both the new and existing laundry sets, but we would need to wait several additional days. This was not an acceptable solution. We should not have to wait days or coordinate additional contractors to complete work that was already included in the service purchased from Friedman Appliances. The reason we selected Friedman Appliances was because they offered a complete delivery and installation solution. If we wanted to coordinate separate installers and contractors ourselves, we could have purchased from another retailer. Because Friedman Appliances failed to honor the service commitment documented on our invoice, we were forced to cancel the order. What was even more disappointing was that the driver documented the cancellation as "refused @ door." This description is inaccurate and misleading. We did not refuse the delivery. We refused to accept a situation where Friedman Appliances would not provide the services we had already paid for and that were clearly documented on our invoice. The issue was not the customer refusing delivery; the issue was Friedman Appliances failing to honor the agreed-upon service commitment. This experience raises serious concerns regarding communication, coordination between departments, and the company's commitment to honoring customer agreements. Customers should be able to trust that the services they purchase will be delivered as promised and that written commitments on invoices will be honored. I hope Friedman Appliances takes this matter seriously and reviews its sales, delivery, and installation processes to ensure future customers are not placed in the same situation. read more

I've never experienced anything like this store in my life. A sales associate, David, approached us both, listened to us carefully, brought us both up to speed on which brands were responsive to servicing requests as well as made of great commercial grade components, explained how Friedman's only advantage in the supply chain was being next level customer service, made sure we got everything at a discount and took care of the shipping personally, giving us his direct number for any issues after closing the sale. Armando and Joe, both delivery agents and technicians, hooked up and tested each appliance, when we discovered the washer had a critical failure in it which caused it to leak massive water all over our laundry room floor. Because of Armando's attention, he cut off the water and saved us from a major disaster. It was incredible, honestly, watching him tie off the water line like a professional, going the extra mile to make sure our home wasn't damaged. David took care of making sure the next delivery, Marlon and Damian W, went smoothly, with both of them also being friendly, quick, attentive and fantastic. We are never going anywhere else for appliances. Ever. The refrigerator and Washer/Dryer function well, we felt taken care of personally and I cannot recommend Friedman's enough if you have to outfit or replace something critical in your home.
