Here's what happened: I scheduled online a time to test drive to Ford broncos. The appointment was confirmed via text message. However, when I walked into the dealership, I was greeted and told that I would be taken care of by someone else. Next; the salesman was unsure if the vehicle was available I second sales man argued with me and said we spoke on the phone which we did not. He insisted that I wanted to test drive, both the blue and the red, which he was correct. I did however, his attitude was very argumentative and a bullying like manner. I was understanding over the confusion and continued with wanting to test drive, the two Ford broncos. The sales man that accompanied me in the Ford bronco, offered no information on the vehicle. In fact, I knew more about the vehicle than he did. The information that he did offer was false, the 2022 Ford bronco does not offer parking assistance. when pulling forward, you will not be notified. If you are coming too close to an object. next the negotiations came, and the trade An offer that the dealership gave to me for my Chevy Tahoe was way under Kelley blue book value. I explained that my Tahoe was recently assessed, and given a value which exceeded more than what they were giving me. The sales man became very argumentative but did lower the cost by $1000. I agreed, feeling bullied and trapped I agreed on the price. (during the negotiations I was made to wait several hours, my keys were taken from me, it was a very uncomfortable experience) Lastly, while sitting in the office signing the paperwork, the gentleman behind the counter made a sarcastic comment that the hard part of this process will be writing the check!! if I could return the Ford bronco and get my Tahoe back. I purchased my 2016 Chevy Tahoe from Vestal Buick in Kernersville, North Carolina. Vestal Buick is family owned, and operated and truly invested in their customers. I cannot believe that in this day and age car salesman still bully women!!! in short, go elsewhere

I called 2 different dealerships in Asheville and both were rude, had horrible customer service and gave us the run around with trying to make an appointment. The dealership on Patton Ave even told us over the phone they would provide a free rental car due to the recalls, and when we went to drop it off the next day told us they didn't and basically we were stupid for ever thinking they did. We left immediately without letting them service the car. My husband located Waynesville Chevorlet on Google and called to inquire about services. They are 30 minutes outside of Asheville, but from the time we made the appointment to the time we picked up the car their customer service was A+. They answered all of our questions with definitive answers, already had all of the parts in stock and was very easy to make an appointment with. We were able to drop the car off the night before the appointment with their over night drop which made it super convenient with their limited hours (8-5) and our work schedules. I expected the 3 recalls, 2 repairs and oil change to take minimum 1-2 full business days just from past dealership service experiences. They called us the first day they had it to say it was ready to be picked up at noon! They made my 2 repairs and oil change with full inspection for $87. I was expecting it to be much more. They saved me money on my rental car, had amazing service from top to bottom and made the process so easy and painless. Definitely worth the extra drive.

The initial catch was they wanted $3k over MSRP. I agreed to pay that as long as no other hidden fees. They assured me that was the only add on was tax tag and title. The staff at Autostar was totally clueless about the car they were selling. At one point, the salesperson was telling me that "... these cars are so new, Chevy has not even produced an owner's manual for it yet" before another worker found it in the trunk. Walk into finance to pay and a big sign spelled out the "Non-negotiable" "Destination Charge" they were tagging on $799. The guy asked if I wanted to leave the deposit on the credit card holding the car. Had my checkbook in hand, but said sure why not. When I got my statement, they charged an extra $30 credit card processing fee they failed to mention. The car was missing valve caps. Instead of pulling them off the shelf, the salesperson took the time to write up a What We Owe You Report. Caps never came. The charger that came with the car stopped working after a couple of weeks. Luckily, have a friend with the same car so borrowed their charger that worked fine, so problem definitely with my charger not vehicle. Spoke to my salesperson who referred me to parts, who referred me to service, who spoke to his manager and assured me they could send a new one, just had to confirm some procedure and would call back. Never did. I called back ten days later, different person in service, had to call their boss. This time they told me that they don't work on those cars so I would have to call a Chevy place 61 miles away and bring my perfectly functioning car in to get a new charger. Stay away. Even if it takes longer, there are honest dealers with competence that can get you Bolt's without the premiums and hidden fees.

After much leg work tracking down firsthand experiences, I came to the conclusion that much of the dissatisfaction was due to unrealistic expectations. I searched the Internet and was overwhelmed with postings indicating almost all dealerships denied any knowledge about the situation. I chose to take my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 Overland/Summit in for repair. Deriata, the service contact was honest, upfront, and confirmed the issue was a common well known issue with several models. She wrote the service order, followed up with me about diagnostics, cost, and expected timelines. I found the service department was very busy but very organized staying focused and expedient, and meet deadlines. Additionally, they recommend two new tires which I already knew to be true. I responded I regularly dealt with a local tire dealer and wanted to stick with them. The dealership responded "I understand and agree that you should". Not another word about the subject. The repair was not cheap but was involved and justified. They found an open recall, repaired it, and did not mention anything about bringing it back for another appointment, or any cost or inconvenience to me. They just did it while they had it. Dealing with the salesmen in the sales department is another story.

I will still be buying a Fiat 500x when my lease is up but will drive to Fiat dealership in Greer SC or Knoxville TN. Also I have never had a car salesman not show me everything about the car. I was only told about stuff if I asked about it.
