I needed new tires on my scooter and didn't really know who offered that service. I called a…read morespecialty scooter shop who told me they could "probably do it but most times they end up taking the scooters to Donelson's for tire balancing". So I cut out the middle person and called Donelson's directly. They let me know they had been crazy busy but would order my tires and once they were in I could drop the scooter off and they would "work it in" to get the tires done. This may seem odd but some other places I called wanted me to drop my scooter off that day and let it sit til they could get to it - could be 4-6 weeks they said. Donelson told me it's prob be a week or so once the tires were in. They ordered the tires, called me and let me know. I dropped the scooter off and they had the replacement done in about 2 days. There was a snafu with the wrong tires being ordered and them needing to put a different set on (my fault as I provided the tire size). Even with that taking place it still only took them 2 days. I had paid in advance for the tires and we had to rework the bill due to the tire swapout, but even that was handled with grace and I paid the difference. They also performed an inspection for me while they had my scooter. Overall nice experience - especially compared to the run around I got from some other places when calling around. Reason I took off 1 star is noone there knows anything outside of their specific dept. So on 1 call they transferred me multiple times - from parts to inquire about the tires, then to service to find out how much service cost, then back to parts because I asked another tire related question, then back to service to talk about the inspection. It'd be nice if they were aware enough of each area to speak to it.

One…read moreoccasion, I purchased the wrong crash bars for my bike although the mfg said they would work...Brian did his best to figure it out even taking pics so that I could email the mfg of the crash bars for proof they don't work with my bike. Because of that I was able to get a refund. Even though he couldn't put them on I appreciated his care and patience in the situation. I will continue to patronize Donelson Cycles for my bike needs!
