I haven't been to this place in a couple months and I was craving a breakfast burrito so I went. I have never tasted a burrito so bad. My husband and I both have severe lactose intolerance that causes me extreme pain whenever I drink milk and him to bloat. This is the second time I have ordered an almond milk latte and have felt that pain, which leads me to believe that they either didn't change the milk or aren't properly cleaning their equipment. My husband was also feeling discomfort and agreed that the drink didn't taste like almond milk. I understand being frustrated with picky customers, but people have health reasons behind their orders. I've been here a number of time and normaly recieve decent service, but this time, no. Awful attitude and terrible beverages. My normal order is a 20oz Americano with an extra shot, extra hot with half and half. My wife ordered a 16 oz salted caramel latte. I drove off hefore we tasted our drinks. Down the road, my drink was missing the extra shot, it was warm at best, and the half and half was light. Wifes drink had way too much syrup. The cost for the drinks was $9.01. Down old Hwy 99, at my normal place, we both order the drinks listed above for a total of $7.07 and the service and beverages are far better. Next time Im near this shack I'll pass or go into 7-11 for coffee that tastes like coffee not a watered down warm brown beverage. read more

I work very near this stand. I usually go to the Royal Bean just around the corner but that stand wasn't opened yesterday so I tried Hot Shotz. The experience of buying my London Fog was quick but impersonal. The person taking my order was deep in a conversation with someone else. My tea was given to me quite quickly which turned out to mean it was not hot either which meant the tea didn't steep. The tea itself was not Earl Grey, the classic choice for London Fogs. I'm not sure what it was. When I got hot water later to get the tea to steep it wasn't pleasant tea. They did put a tiny bit of vanilla syrup in it, just enough that I could tell it was in there. I asked for half and half instead of milk....I'm not sure this happened. It tasted like milk. In fact I think maybe the milk was cold and it cooled my tea before it could steep. These thoughts are conjecture though and not fact. All in all, it was not a great experience and I don't want to repeat it. I'm in no way saying you shouldn't go here for your beverages only that you might want to think twice about getting a London Fog here. I would like to leave you with a positive. Their lids were amazing! They were a pleasure to drink from. This is not sarcasm but sincere praise. Whomever designed that lid should get an award. It was unlike any I've had before. Also, when you ask for a stopper they put a stickered kiss on your lid. It is super cute and will make you smile. read more

terrible customer service. when I ordered my drinks one of them was made improperly and when I mentioned it the barista rolled her eyes and proceeded to remake the coffee. On another occasion I went and a barista with red hair proceeded to make my order. once again it was made improperly. Well I am really disappointed... this was my favorite local coffee stand with super sweet baristas and brilliantly made coffee. But the new owner apparently raised the prices. My americano used to be $2 then a week ago $3 and now $4? I would much rather support a local business but when I can drive two more blocks down the street to a Starbucks for a $3 americano, that's what I am going to have to do :( Hopefully the owner will see that this 33% hike in prices overnight is not going to make frequent customers very happy... This used to be my favorite stand. I've been going there for years but with this recent changeover, all the original ladies are gone. The new girls are sweet but it baffles me that the stand refuses to carry the products I have been drinking there for years. Seriously? I grew up in Olympia and whenever I'm in town visiting THIS is my go to coffee stand. The baristas are friendly, the coffee is smooth and not bitter, and they have Califa brand non-dairy milk which is the best there is! Plus they even warm up your muffin top if you ask :) read more

The only reason I listed 4 stars is that recently the coffees seem to have been inconsistent in flavor each visit . Yes prices and product as well as staff commmmpletly did a 180 but I still loved going to Hot Shotz over other local coffee stands.. that was until I heard the girls all the way in the back gossiping about my family and I.
