"Terrible experience. The pool contractor requested that I rent a gas water pump to help drain their couple of feet at the bottom of my unground pool. I live in Henniker, so driving to Concord is over 20 minutes. When I got home, the rented pump didn't work at all the pool contractors on-site witnessed the pump was faulty. I called them immediately and drove straight back to return the pump. Despite this, they refused to refund my money. By the time I could have sorted out a replacement, the contractors and my two basement sump pumps would have already finished the job. Highly unprofessional and a complete waste of time and money." COVID is not an excuse for poor customer service. I'm extremely disappointed with this operation and their lack of customer service. Our dance company rented stage, chairs, wings and back drop for our annual recital. So definitely not a small job. It started first with delivery. The approved picture/layout they sent to us prior to delivery was not what was setup - the layout was completely incorrect. In addition the wings and the backdrops were not installed correctly and not securely fastened so they kept falling down and/or blowing over. And it's not that it was an aggressively windy day - it was normal everyday breeze and the fabric would fly off/open. We had to bring in an additional company on the day of the recital and spend an additional $500 worth of equipment to have a decent stage setup for the recital. Then the final issue was that after they picked up the equipment they charged the card on file an additional $75 for "residue" that they said we left on the chairs from the seat assignment papers. They just sent a single email saying that they were charging us for the residue. No dialogue. I am extremely disappointed with the services that were paid for, but also the horrific customer service. They won't answer calls now - they won't even dialogue to hear the concerns and that is the definition of poor customer service. I will never recommend this company! read more

When we contacted your company in August and informed the manager that our wedding venue in NH canceled on us, we were informed that there was no way to get our money back. We were getting married more then 2 hours away in West Bridgewater MA. I was told we could get a credit to the store or pick up the item ourselves. I informed The manager that we would need to drop off on a Sunday and was told that was fine. My husband picked up the tent on Friday the 18th and informed them the same thing, and was told that was fine. So we took the 2+ hour drive on our day of our honeymoon and when we were almost to their location, we checked the address the location said closed on google. We called and the manager answered. After telling her she and I had Had this conversation before, she agreed to meet us there. When we got there she handed my husband a 60.00 bill for dropping off early! This was never ever in a contract or spoken about! We were very clear we no longer wanted to rent from them, but their policy of no refunds didn't leave us a choice! Now they want to charge us a fee we did not agree to. The manager has been rude from the time our wedding venue cancelled on us and all the way through! I would never ever recommend this company to anyone ever! read more

The only reason I gave these people 1 star is because there wasn't an option to leave a no star review. They rented me a man lift with a broken engine and gave me a 30 foot extention cord to run it of ac power. That would have been fine if the lift didn't blow the breaker every 2 seconds. After expressing my concerns and asking for a partial refund I was told that they didn't feel as though they owed me anything and didn't care if they lost a customer over this issue. I guess instead of fixing their garbage equipment they would rather rent it out knowing it is unsafe. If you need to rent equipment take the 35 minute ride to taylor rental in belmont under different, professional ownership. The customer service for Taylor Rental Center was awful in that they set up a piece of equipment creating a dangerous environment for those hoping to enjoy the dance floor. when consulted about the issue, they told us to move it ourselves because they were too busy, yet they weren't too busy if we were willing to spend an extra 220$ to have them come and fix up the mistake that they made in the first place. You would think that a company who's clients are mainly weddings would be a lot better to their customers because weddings are an extremely stressful thing to plan, and this rental company added to the stress so much so that the bride ended up going out and moving the dance floor by herself! You can see in the pictures that they chose the most uneven ground to put the dance floor on and shoved bricks and rocks and wood under it to try to make it even, but all that did was create a huge ledge for potential dancers to fall off of and hurt themselves. Update: The owners response to this is the opposite of the truth. They were asked during the purchasing process to contact the owners an HOUR AND A HALF before they ARRIVED at the venue, but they failed to do so and only called TWENTY MINUTES before hand and they are failing to see is problem with that. Also, regarding the dance floor, i understand that the owner of this company has to honor what his workers tell him, but whatever they told him was far from the truth. The pictures i took were taken as-is, no one at the venue added any rocks, wood, or bricks under the dance floor to make it more even, and the fact that the owner is trying to accuse us of doing so is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. They provided everything for our wedding in Alton, NH this August. They did a great job with everything. They were easy to work with and gave us updated estimates as the normal fluctuations (and chaos!) of wedding planning happened. Some of the tables were kind of "gently used" but it didn't matter because they were all covered anyway. Thanks guys! read more

Do not rent equipment from them. They do not inspect it prior to it going out, though they will tell you do. Rented a floor buffer and the cord pulled right out of the receptacle. When I complained they said that my worker must of yanked on it. Total BS! I was standing right there. read more

These folks have a good selection of equipment that is well maintained but the mark of a good business is customer service. If a customer comes in after renting a piece of equipment and says that it didn't do a great job and explains what the problem was the answer shouldn't be, "no one else has complained." Usually a small gesture goes a long way such as in this case a 30-50% discount. Not from these folks. I have been a regular customer for years, not any more! read more

I would like to start this review by pointing out that I have rented previously from Taylor Rental and had no problems whatsoever. Unfortunately, we have a wedding this weekend, and they did not live up to my expectations. The dance floor that we rented was not only over priced, but it was set up in the most uneven part of our lawn. Instead of using a different location (calling and asking, or simply knocking on the door to see if someone was home), they left the dance floor where they originally set it up with bricks and rocks shoved under it, making it impossible to dance on, and definitely not safe. I was also very disappointed to be woken up by their employees swearing in the front yard back and forth to each other. I understand we all have our days, but when we called back to see if there was any possibility of them moving the dance floor, we were told they would send instructions on how we could do it ourselves. We agreed to that but after receiving the vague directions and trying to take on the task ourselves, we realized we were in way over our heads. We proceeded to call back only to be told it would be almost $300 to send anyone back out to fix the problem that THEY CREATED! I recommend renting chairs from them, but the tables that they delivered looked like I could have them found at the town dump. If the prices on those items were any higher I would seriously have a problem. Overall, if you are looking for mediocre service at the chance you may have to do some rearranging yourself, Taylor Rental is the way to go. Personally I would HIGHLY recommend Lakes Region Tent And Event over this poorly run business, any day of the week! Spend the extra money and get service you can rely on! read more

Location has everything you may need. However, their first question is always about payment. Never what are the customers needs, how can we be of help. Our organization has done quite a bit of business with them, we always pay for the the whole service before rental items are even delivered, sometimes a month in advance even when only 50% payment is due. If we add on an item, first question, how are you going to pay for it. Well, lets see I paid you $1,000 dollars in advance and I'm adding on a $60 item. I have paid every rental fee in advance for 10+ years, thousands of $. Rather than saying, "no problem" glad to help, thank you, instead, first line is "how are you going to pay for the that". Really just rubs you the wrong way. If you looking for warm customer service, this isn't the place. No good old fashion customer service here which is why I don't recommend them. You are a service business, act like one, especially to your good customers. read more
