I love the samosas (potato/pea, personally). Our go to choices are lamb korma, tikka masala, butter chicken. The staff is friendly.

We have been eating at Taz grill on Saturdays for the last 3 or 4 weeks. The flavor of the dishes on the buffet lines are just ok. The only thing consistent about the buffet is that there is nothing on it that is much hotter than room temperature. I'd have to say that either they don't know how to operate the steam tables or the steam tables are broken. On the good side..... if you go when there isn't a buffet the food is usually better and warmer. read more

We got chicken chattinad curry, egg chow mein, naan, and onion pakora. I liked the pakora but it wasn't my favorite green chutney. The naan was good and the chicken curry was good but the chow mein didn't have much flavor. It was also supposed to be spicy but wasn't at all. We also asked for extra egg but didn't get any egg at all. It was also not too clean, I scraped food off of my shoes a couple times and the tablecloth wasn't cleaned well. Place is amazing. First timers for each dish: The appetizer is light but so tasteful. Each dipping sauce is different. The green one is more herbs while the dark one is sweet. Can't choose? That's okay. Try both at the same time, that will most definitely give your taste buds a favor to crave in the future. The lamb is soft and delicious full of ingredients. We requested no curry due to allergies and the business made sure to help us with ordering. (Thanks for helping keep us safe.) The chicken tikka masala is so good. The chicken is soft and rich with amazing sauce. Eating that with The garlic Naan bread is a match made. Even the naan bread alone is amazing. The vegetable rice is light and full of veggies that doesn't seem to over power but brings out the rice flavor. The white rice is light and fluffy and also simply delicious. We showed up here around 12:30pm on Saturday, the week before Christmas. The place was pretty much packed. We were immediately met with a smile and quickly escorted to our table. We were explained to by the sweet young lady that sat us about the buffet and price... $16.99 each. We were greeted with a glass carafe of cold water and 2 GLASS glasses! My husband ordered a Sprite(20oz bottle), it was $3.49. Now to the food... can we say the BEST buffet EVER... bar none. We were so hungry and excited that I didn't even snap any photos. My husband ventured out and tried several Vegetarian Dishes and said if all Vegetarian food was this good he wouldn't be opposed... we will have this conversation again! The food was such a variety of meat dishes as well vegetarian varieties of the same. Nan bread was kept stocked. We didn't try any desserts(there were 2, I think) because we were stuffed. The interior was beautifully decorated with plenty of tables and some that held likely 12 or so. I just can't say enough good about our experience. Oh, I had a question about a vegetarian "fritter".. very similar to what in the South we call Squash patties... the young lady answered my questions... and come to find out they are made the same... just no Squash, they are Onion "fritters"... forgot the name she called it! I ordered DoorDash along with another lady who was white and the host did not ask her to show her receipt from DoorDash, just asked for her name and that's it. Wow! What a buffet! I had the Sunday lunch buffet a few hours ago & I'm still stuffed! Great options for herbivores, omnivores & carnivores. When I spent 2 month in India back in 2018 it was the first time I could do a vegetarian diet for more than a week or so & not feel like I was missing out on something. This buffet reminded me about the traditional preparation of different meals with a variety of seasonings & spices, it was exceptional! The food is outstanding. I have only had take out or delivery, so I cannot speak to the in restaurant experience - however I have called and they are always responsive and kind. I'm also thrilled they have momos! I live on the East Coast normally, and have been in Beaumont for an extended stay while working on a family home. Surprisingly delicious food in Beaumont. I came here for their weekend lunch buffet. I enjoyed the vegetarian side of the buffet more than the meat side because it was fresh and replenished often. My favorite items would have to have been their papadums with mint chutney, fried spinach, fried cauliflower (golbi manchurian), and fried potatoes. Lots of fried foods here. Lol. Seriously though, the papadums here compared to other Indian restaurants were the lightest, fluffiest, and crispiest I've ever eaten in my life. I did also enjoy their tandoori chicken. But, I did wish it was more moist. Their naan was pretty standard too. Overall, I would come back here for my Indian food fix if I'm ever in the area. read more

Had to give one star for the review. Worst customer service - after starters plates were not replaced for the main course. They forgot to give us new plates. Had to ask for them. First ordered Chilli paneer- paneer were burnt, like rubber and was crazy spicy. It was the worst I've ever had in my life. Paneer tikka masala - sour taste and with burnt rubber paneer. Couldn't eat at all. Food was horrible. The only good thing was that they give rice and naan free with the curry. AVOID!! Worst service ever! One family runs it and they move at their own speed which is super slow. Drinks come in bottles so I'm assuming free refills are out of the question. You will sit forever waiting for a menu. They're rude and abrupt. A lot of the tables had trash and plates piled on them from other customers. It took 15-20 minutes for them to clean off a table. We ordered cheese naan. When he brought our order he informed us that they were out of cheese naan so he brought us garlic instead. Thanks for informing us in advance, glad we are ok with garlic. The paleek paneer is garbage, avoid. No flavor. The Tikka Masala is ok, not great. We ordered tea which we never got. Apparently the owner walks around on the phone with a Bluetooth piece sticking out of his ear and must not have understood us. It's a very awkward tense setting. Please spare yourself the misery. Some of the best tasting Indian food I've ever had. Flavors are spot on and staff is always friendly. My favorite dish is the Butter Chicken. They do have a buffet on the weekends, which allows you to try multiple dishes or you can order from the menu. I've have dined both ways and the quality was good. We had mostly appetizers this evening (chili pakora-fried spicy peppers, samosas, chili fish) along with mango lassi. Everything came out hot and fresh. In the past, we have had some of the vegetarian and chicken curries, which are also tasty. While the food tastes fabulous, the descriptions written on the menu was very off-leading and confusing. Plus the meals came before the naan which can seem off leading and how they list what comes on the dishes from the menu online and on menu is completely different from what you're served in the restaurant (to my experience). We ordered Tandoori Mixed Grill and the Butter Chicken. The butter chicken was indeed a fabulous mixture, however, the mixed grill came with 4-5 pieces of chicken that looked like and tasted alike all for a whopping price of $19.95 if my memory serves me correctly. There wasn't anything special about the dish to have cost that much oh and the salad they mention in their own location's menu happened to be an onion salad (a few strips of sliced onion) that was laid out under the tandoori chicken. #iasked #awaitresstoldmethat They upped everything on the menu by $2 so don't go judging by the menu online or any picture of the Taz menu that you see online. read more

We came here almost every day for a week, we do love our Indian food :-) The food here during the week on the lunch buffet seems to stay relatively the same, while only some vegetarian dishes change. The weekend buffet tends to have things that I haven't seen throughout the week. The food is great. Amazing flavors and actually some moldy spicy to some items in the buffet. We love some heat! When the younger female worker is there our waters tend to get refills a lot quicker than when it's the gentleman alone during the week. But overall would highly recommend this place. read more

We came for dinner and ordered rasam soup, palak channa (spinach chickpeas), and malai kofta. All of it was delicious. The vegetables come with naan and rice both of which came out fresh. When asked about their menu, it sounded delicious but after giving plenty dishes a fair try...I'll just stick with the Butter Chicken. Here is what I ordered. Butter Chicken-flavorful and great on rice. Overall it's my favorite dish and I will definitely come back for it. Vegetable Samosas- shaped of a wedge, it has vegetables inside with a curry kick to it. Chicken Tikki Masala-They give you options on how spicy you like it before prepping. I'm not an Indian food expert, but my hubby is - he's had vindaloo literally all over the world, and he thought Taz's version was very good. He also found the naan to be basically perfect. I would agree, I've never had Tikka Masala any better, same with the naan. NOTE: the garlic naan had quite a lot of garlic on it. I just scraped off a bunch, but if you like minimal garlic, you might want to mention it. The service was friendly and prompt. The dining room was very clean. We got there at about 5:45 on Sunday evening, and only 2 or 3 tables were occupied. By the time we left, several more were taken, which I was happy to see. Our waiter was MORE than happy to provide takeout containers for us, because the portions were pretty large. He even gave us some extra rice (which was also delicious).
