I finally stopped in to pick up dinner. I ask the young lady (sorry forgot your name. it begins with a "Y". She was so sweet and funny) to make selections for me. We decided on the following: Appetizer: Chicken Sheek Kabab (2 ea) Dinner: Mutton Dum Biryani (1 extremely filled round container) - Biryani or mixed rice with flavours of the caramelized onions and spices. The Mutton is cooked and then layered with half-cooked basmati rice, caramelized onions, saffron milk, and fresh mint leaves. Dessert (1): Gulab Jamun (6 ea) - fried balls of a dough made from milk solids and semolina, soaked with an aromatic syrup spiced with green cardamom, rose water, saffron, and more. Dessert (2): Gajar Halwar (1 sm. container) - pudding made with fresh carrots, milk, sugar, ghee & nuts For my appetizer, I expected a typical shish kebab appearance but instead received a finely ground, well-seasoned tube of chicken hollowed out from a skewer. Tender, and Tasty. The dinner gave me a SHOCK because I did not realize there were 3 TEMPERATURE LEVELS!!!. Guess what they made mine... HOT like FIYAH!!!! Fortunately, I was given (2) small containers of creamy herb sauce that cooled my mouth and allowed me to consume more. My Gajar Halwar dessert was a surprise. Now, I enjoy carrots cooked and raw but NEVER thought of them as a dessert. It smelled like carrots, it looked like carrots and tasted like carrots AND IT WAS GOOD! The more I ate it the more I wanted -- It's addicting. The Gulab Jamun looked very appealing and reminding me of the Greek dessert, Loukoumades. This dessert was the opposite in that it is sweeter, and SOAKED IN SYRUP!!! I think it would be great with ice cream. I will definitely order ALL this AGAIN! The next time you are on Main Street between Miami Road and Burnside Avenue, TURN into the parking lot, PARK your vehicle and GO inside to explore this little piece of India! Also, they sell Halal meats, and have Spices Galore!

This Grocery store has a restaurant or cookout place and my review is for that. This Grill serves the best Chicken Charga and Chicken Seesh Kabob in the area at a very nominal price. If you are calling to order Charga give them atleast 30 minutes ahead of time to order. you try these items you will be satisfied with the quantity and taste.

    FIsh and Goat Price list.

I like this place for shopping Indian/Pakistani groceries. Plus their samosas are pretty good.

The grocery store will be a typical Asian grocery store similar to an Indian grocery store.

Hello. I am writing…read moreto report a likely racially motivated incident at the East Norriton, Pennsylvania, store that occurred Saturday, March 28, at about 3:30 p.m. I filled out forms on Acme's website and called twice in filing complaints, but Acme leadership cannot find it in themselves to comment on this situation. So I've decided to share this publicly to embarrass the store. First, your customer service employees never man the desk. About a year ago, I started going to Acme for money orders bought with cash bonuses received at my job because a Giant supermarket near me lost their license to sell them. On this day, it took 10 minutes until someone showed up. Ten minutes! Today, sensing the same problems, I asked an employee stocking shelves to help bring someone to the desk. A young woman showed up and began expressing doubt right away that she could help me with $6,000 worth of money orders and insisting that I'd need two forms of identification. Absurd! Who brings his or her passport or Social Security card to a supermarket to get money orders? Giant never required two forms of ID, and I successfullly converted as much as $4,000 to $5,000 in cash to money orders on single visits. This woman called over a woman named Royce, and Royce immediately began interrogating me as if she were a police officer and I was some bank robber or drug dealer. "Where is this money from?" "Where do you work?" Let me tell you so it's perfectly clear: Your employees have no right to ask these questions of me or any other person seeking money orders. Wanting to get out of this abhorrent store as quickly as possible, I told her that this money is a cash bonus for my marketing job, which is 100 percent the truth. Royce never deserved this answer. Royce started to walk away, shaking her head and saying that $6,000 was too much. I asked her what the store daily limit is--if one even exists--on money order transactions in a day. She didn't answer. Royce left for 5 minutes and came back, saying she couldn't help me. I asked whether she could convert any of my $6,000 into money orders, and she said no. Royce is an African American woman, and I am a Caucasian man. Given that she offered no other explanation for denying my request, I am making the claim that her obscene, uncalled-for actions were discriminatory. If I don't take action, this alarming behavior will only continue.

This store was remodeled perfectly from when it was a janky brown's ShopRite. However, there are…read moresome serious problems. The prices are so high that no one is shopping here & it shows. Lots of expiring or expired items sitting around. especially in produce. No idea why they don't slash prices & steal the customers away from Weis, Giant, & Grocery bargain market. It's stupid to have such a nice store w/ such high prices & no customers. The management team should be eliminated & relieved by a skilled retail management team capable of properly operating a demographicly friendly market instead of an unaffordable waste of resources.

They also carry unique items like Lychee and Guajillo chilis, as well as locally produced items such as jams and dried fruits. The owners and staff are very friendly and they gave me a 5% off card which I use every time. Bring your own bag, or they will give you a box to carry out your items. Stay out of the produce section at Acme and Giant - go here instead! Worth the extra stop!

We couldn't be more thrilled cause we just recently moved to a nearby apt complex. I agree with EllenM, they have very inexpensive produce and a good variety as well. But, because of how new this place is and low foot traffic, some of the specialty produce isn't all that fresh. Oh, they don't always put out all their produce or the freshest stuff. If you want something that you don't find or would like more fresh stuff, they will get them from their cooler/freezer. So, just ask. The owners/staff are definitely very friendly. For an indian grocery store, this by far have the cheapest prices for reputable brand items in the norristown area. And, they are slowly growing and bringing in more items and variety. So, even though they may not have a great variety of items yet, you can get all your basics. As mentioned earlier, definitely don't forget to check out their jams and dried fruits section. You won't regret it.
