DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!! My 16 year old went snow boarding for the 1st time. Only went on bunny slopes... he went with other minors and one 19 year old. They returned the equipment and the rental place TC RIDE SHOP said the 16 year old damaged the board. I asked to speak to the manager or the owner the lady refused to give me their name or information. The lady refused to speak to me as well... and also refused to give anyone her name. The 16 year old was told by employee Lindsey to take photos of the board cause they will charge you and say you damaged it if you don't. Photos were taken of the board thank goodness. They tried to get the 19 year old to pay $269 for the board... then offered to go lower on the price if they paid cash. Later there was a charge attempted for $318.94 to the bank card. The lady working there barley spoke English all of their boards are very old... not well maintained and kids would not know or understandthis. This is a hustle they are doing to take people's money at TC RIDE SHOP... there are several people they have done this to that left a Yelp Review!!!! This place is horrible!!!! The lady name is koko unfairly accused them of causing damage, even though she was there when they were renting the pants and she knew that the pants was in a very bad condition but my cousins were is hurry and just wanted to take the pants and leave for the day. they trusted the shop and didn't really question things because they didn't know that this shop have new owners and they have been renting from old owners for years and never had any problems. do yourself a favor and don't deal with this shop. read more

Definitely recommend if you are needing rentals last minute! I usually pre-rent online from another place, but decided last minute and they were all sold out. Last year I came to Big Bear and had a hard time finding what I needed. Other shops were slow and didn't have gear that fit. This year I was in for a pleasant surprise. The TC Ride shop had just what I needed for a day on the slopes. They rented skis, boots, poles, helmets, and even snow pants taking care of the whole family. This place is awesome. Fernando was very helpful on the phone. I have a really hard tire size to get chains for, and he had them. He put them on for me to make sure they were perfect before even charging me a cent. They also put chains on my son's car for us and we didn't even buy them there. Then we had a chain problem the next day and they came and helped us with that too. Napa auto parts wanted to charge us double with no guarantee that their chains would fit. This is a great snowboarding shop and nice, helpful employees. A large group of us were looking to rent snowboards for a night boarding session on a peak weekday. We called around to various snowboard shops but they were all out. TC Ride Shop had a good number available to rent. The snowboard package was around $21-23 to rent, not including a $2 insurance fee. The insurance fee was worth it for one of the people in our group who broke his binding on the slopes. Although they have a late fee of $20, if you call in advance letting them know you're running late, they allow you to return it the following day without a fee. Although the shop is small, it is very clean. Snowboard boots and boards are in good condition. It's the cheapest one I've seen in the area! Don't get fooled by the $25 rental fee at the bottom of the mountain. Prices get cheaper as you get closer to the main slopes! read more

So happy we found this place. Walked in the night before we hit the slopes. No wait, helpful staff, great prices. $15 each for kids ski package. $23 for adult snow board packages. In and out in 40 min for 4 people to rent and get fitted, including two kids that have never skied before. We lucked out and walked in at the right moment cause the store was empty. And I should mention that we walked out of three other places cause the lines were insane. Will definitely return here on our next ski visit! read more

There was an angry lady standing in the boot area that has no business in customer service. She was rude and did not seem to want to help anyone. Where do I begin... My friends and I walk in to this shop and the girl behind the counter IMMEDIATELY started hating... I mean her attitude was ridiculous and unnecessary!! I don't care if Aunt Flo was arriving to town that day, that attitude was uncalled for! She seemed so perturbed that she had to help me with a ski rental..... Well, then I was asked to fill out paperwork for my rental. I asked if I could make sure they had skis that would fit my boots before I filled out the paperwork and charged my credit card. The guy behind the counter said , "oh, we have skis that will fit" um yea, I get that, but how crappy r they gonna be? What size are they gonna be? Rude, again. THEN, I asked for them to set my skis to type 1, which they said they did... Well at the end of the day, a snowboarder ran into me at 15 mph and my skis DID NOT EJECT. If I wasn't flexible from yoga, I would've busted both my knees. When I brought my rental back and told the guy what happened, he looked at the skis nonchalantly, said, "they are set at 4, they should've ejected" and then handed me my deposit slip. No apology, no nothing. RUDE. These people must have Bachelor's Degrees in inconsideration because they wouldn't know what Nice was if she was a Proper Noun that sat on their face read more
