    Taco and enchilada plate

Our first time. We had a combo plate and a chile verde plate. The combination was delicious and I appreciate the extra effort. It came with sliced cucumber and orange with chamoy sauce and a grilled jalapeño, fresh pico de gallo and guacamole. The chile verde had fried eggs, cucumbers, orange and jalapeño too. Everything was delicious and our waiter was very attentive to our needs. The place was nicely decorated. We enjoyed the music . Definitely going to be back.

Simply delicious! Authentic Mexican food. Starting with the chips and salsa, very good. Food portions are large and flavorful. The camarones à la diabla were great, the right amount of flavor and spice, well served with fresh salad served on the plate. The burrito de chile verde was also delicious. Very clean and quiet setting. Service was excellent and fast. Also, the agua the horchata was very good.

Been coming here for several years now since before they extended the space. Since the extension and redecorating/remodeling it looks sooooo nice! The service is always good, friendly & checks in on you frequently which I LOVE! As for food, you're started off with chips and salsa. The salsa has a slight kick to it but bomb flavor. I personally love their carne asada fries for my meal. Simple yet delicious. I do miss the thicker fries as they now use thin fries nonetheless the flavor is still amazing. It has Fries, asada, cheese, pico, guacamole & sour cream. I like to add their pickled carrots on top and their jalapeños in between each bite for some heat. Their salsas are pretty good but I had no need for them as I feel the food is good without it. Hubby is a new vegetarian so he got the chile relleno plate that comes with 2 chiles, rice, beans & tortillas. Him and my toddler went crazy on that plate. Hubbys exact words were, "That food was FIRE. So BOMB!" So I'll take that as a 10/10 lol For drinks hubby got a brew, I got a Mexican coke & my son had a bottled orange juice that the server was nice enough to pour into a to go cup for ease of drinking out of a straw. All drinks were delicious 10/10 Still will always be my go to carne asada fries spot. They can't be beat!! I meant to take pics of the food but once it came out we devoured it like animals lol but here are pics of the full menu, as well as the chips and salsa you're given upon being seated.

Came for a late lunch specifically for a Coctel camaron or shrimp cocktail in their signature style: very large shrimp, in a delicious mixture of tomato and citrus, cilantro, and sliced avocado floating on top of the whole thing, there was even more chopped avocado on the cocktail. Options to eat with saltine crackers or tortilla chips. The huge crystal goblet perfectly showcases the huge shrimp and chunks of avocado. It's topped nicely with slices of orange, lime and cucumber plus a sprig of celery. Everything is seasoned so well. Best thing is it was served very cold: for this summer heat! Also shared a large carne asada wet burrito, we requested both green and red sauces, plus rice and beans both inside and outside. The rice is very fluffy and tender, with bits of sweet corn scattered; refried beans were tender and a good texture since some beans were not all mashed. Hearty amount of chopped meat inside, and melted cheese over the sauces and beans: food was hot and delicious. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 3 pm Friday afternoon, no alcohol served but it seems they have applied for a license. Very sweet lady serving us, she came several times to check if we needed more of anything. Complementary chips with a very nicely seasoned and spiced salsa. Parking can sometimes be a little tight but plenty of room today. In the plaza across from Target store, next to Mono coffee shop and Pizza Hut takeout.

I think this is the place we went to a few years ago? Do that or have they ever served pancakes?

They are the same owner since 1998 and yes they serve pancakes

Food was good, the burrito sauces were tasty and flavored well. I could easily share this portion size with another person. The hostess handling patrons and customers was super sweet to work with and order from. She did an amazing job handling customers that came into the restaurant. The restaurant itself was quite packed, get there early to secure a seat or (see if you can) call ahead of time. The price for the burrito was more expensive than typical places which is why I'd rate it 4/5 stars, otherwise 5 star food!

The atmosphere was extremely dark -- almost too dark. The restaurant itself is small and narrow,…read morewhich gives it the feel of a dim alleyway, decorated with colorful Mexican festive banners hanging overhead. Some people may enjoy that style, but for me it felt overly dark and somewhat cramped. The service was okay. Nothing particularly good or bad stood out. As for the food, based on previous reviews, I expected something above average or even excellent. That really was not the case. If you regularly eat authentic Mexican food, the food here is simply okay. It is not bad, but it is also not especially good. I ordered the combination plate with two tacos, one enchilada, rice, and beans. The other person ordered one enchilada, one taco, rice, and beans. Since we eat Mexican food frequently, we have a solid idea of what good Mexican food should taste like. The food here was decent enough to eat, but nothing memorable. One thing I did not appreciate was the pricing structure. The menu combinations appear one way at first, but if you choose a meat other than ground beef, there is an additional charge of one or two dollars depending on the item. The restaurant does disclose this, but only in fine print, so make sure to read carefully before ordering. Overall, I probably would not return because I know what genuinely good Mexican food tastes like. However, if you did not grow up eating Mexican food regularly, you may enjoy this place much more than I did. It may appeal more to people who are less familiar with authentic Mexican cuisine. Also, to be fair, I did not try the burritos, so those could potentially be better.

This place is nestled into a small strip mall with a couple other restaurants located in it kind of tucked away not hard to find, but you would miss it pretty easy, it was either the owner and his mom or his wife and they both seem nice. They took the order they made the order and they brought out the order so it looks like a hard-working family. Now onto the food !! My soup was good and I could tell that it was fresh because it took about 20 minutes to make and nobody else was in the restaurant. I appreciate the attention to detail, but for me the broth was just lacking. Something was definitely missing in the flavor department. My 10 year old son ordered the Carne Asada quesadilla and I had a small piece of that, which was actually pretty good as the tortilla was nice and fluffy and very soft. The meat in the quesadilla was also tender and not tough which also helped out Not saying I wouldn't come back to this place and give it another try ,but the soup for me was definitely lacking what I was looking for and I've had better albondigas soup at other places.

So in the meantime we needed a Scooby snack :p The Mexican spot next to Thai bbq was closed for the holiday. So I started calling around because my mom needed her carne asada tacos! Called around and I remember I had Los consomes on my list and they were open YAY. I ordered two carne asada street tacos, a queso birria ,a queso asada taco and chips and salsa. I was raised in Cerritos so I know Artesia very well and made my way over from Thai bbq. Walked in, nice clean little mom and pop. Seems like the guy was the chef and cashier. I didn't realize there was a little bell to let them know you're there so I stood around for a good minute til I pressed it lol. For safety, I'd say they should have something that makes a noise when you first walk in. Anyhow, he came out, rung me up and food was packed and ready. Got home and tore into the bag. The chips definitely tasted made to order. Extremely fresh! The salsa was sooooo good. He asked if I wanted the hot sauce and of course I did. Even my mom indulged and she usually can't do spicy. It was a perfect amount of spice. She said her tacos were the softest, not soggy tacos she ever had. The meat was perfect and plentiful. The queso tacos were simple and delicious. No dried out tortillas here! The Birria was nice and soft. Their meat was perfectly cooked. Not tough or a crazy chew to it. My mom said the chips were addicting. We were full just off our tacos and some chips. I needed a nap LOL. They have a nice straightforward menu. Not a million things, just enough options to keep you interested for multiple visits. Great service from a hardworking family I bet. I can't wait to go back and try their soups, even with this summer heat I wish them much success:)
