This is gonna be my new favorite lunch spot. 1350 for the chicken and spicy salmon rolls. The other one had a 150 extra up charge, but I didn't like how the salmon was deep-fried a little bit. It is a fairly clean restaurant and quite busy during lunchtime. Great prices! I will be back

The positive reviews are warranted. One of the best Dynamite rolls that I've had. Very generous with the scallops and a really great bite.

This is a pretty solid sushi spot in Hawaiian Gardens. I have done both take-out and dine-in. I usually get their rolls, specifically their dynamite roll & any other roll with salmon or shrimp tempura. Everything taste fresh, and service has always been friendly. There's plenty of parking outside and towards the back. The Japanese decor is so cute inside and lots of hanging cherry blossoms.

    Chirashi and Sushi Combo

The aesthetics of this sushi restaurant are really beautiful. The fish is also fairly fresh and I really enjoyed my sushi combo - great value as well at $23. The chirashi bowl had nice thick cuts of fairly fresh fish but was unfortunately drenched in sesame oil. It was tasty the first few bites, but was eventually all you could taste and became too overwhelming. The service was cordial, but at one point our server also knocked over our bowls of miso soup while trying to deliver our plates of food, and didn't care nor apologized.

I was craving sashimi, so I decided to stop here for lunch. I had never really known about this place until I drove past it. It's conveniently located right next to Kicking Crab in a plaza with plenty of parking. Love the interior inside, it's so pretty. I was warmly welcomed by Jenny and Joanne. They were very attentive and kind. Luckily, I arrived just before they closed, which was perfect for me. I ordered the lunch Sashimi combo -- the chef's choice of sashimi and our choice sushi roll, served w- miso soup and salad. The food arrived quickly. It was absolutely scrumptious, especially since I hadn't eaten all day. It really hit the spot! I saved the crunchy roll for later, but I also enjoyed it that evening. Lol scarfed it down. Overall, I'd give a 5/5 for the experience and great service.

A hidden gem! I never knew a sushi place was in the EOS/buffet plaza. It's quite hidden and around the corner towards the back of the plaza. So glad I got the chance to try this place, it was delicious! My boyfriend and I came on a Friday evening around 7:15pm and got seated immediately. I would say it was about half full and we got to sit at the bar. They have a huge menu so we took some time deciding. The food came out relatively quickly too to my surprise! After ordering we got everything in about 10 minutes! We got the California Roll, Salmon Carpaccio, Forest Roll, and Crunch Spicy Tuna Roll. Everything was so good, including the service as they made sure to take our plates and trash from us quickly. The interior is also so beautiful and I loved the flowers and minimalistic design. I would definitely come again!

A while back I saw Sushi Forest had a Carpaccio Sampler for $20, so I had to visit. It's a hidden gem on Carson and Norwalk by a tire shop. The employees were friendly and attentive during the visit. The interior was clean, organized, attractive, and illuminated. They have several lunch specials and new items that I didn't have an opportunity to explore. I ordered the Carpaccio Sampler, Red Dragon Roll, and Spicy Yellowtail Roll. Most was rich and worth getting again except Red Dragon was my least favorite because of the shrimp. However, it's good if you appreciate a clean, creamy texture. The Salmon was really good and I'd like to try the Bento Box along with other items.

Back to a familiar old place to give them a try again. We used to come here weekly precovid days and after Covid we never really returned because their prices were already going up. Now they have a bunch of specials and a Happy Hour Special of certain rolls for &10.00. If it weren't for the specials to really give you value for the money, I'd probably try somewhere else.

Our dog groomer is located around this area and me and my mom decided to try this sushi place out. Parking is pretty small unless you park around the other side of the area in the bigger lot but not a major deal breaker. We walk in and we were greeted immediately by the server and sat down. The aesthetic of this place is really nice and comforting. I really like the petals above and the art on the wall. Their menu is also pretty extensive but I opted to go for the my go to rolls and of course, as a salmon skin roll connoisseur, had to get that. Mom opted for the bento box with sesame chicken and crunch roll. Her soup came out first and she said it was good meanwhile my nigiri came out and wow! Awesome job to the fish to rice ratio especially with the salmon. Next came out the salmon skin roll and that looked good! But was it delicious?! I have to say the salmon skin roll is only okay here. The sauce already on the roll kind of made the rice more soggier and the taste was only okay. Felt like my roll needed a little more crunch. As for the nigiri I really liked them all! I mostly enjoyed the scallop! Super delicious. Our server was attentive and brought out our check and with the bento box along with all rolls it was around $60 for the meal which is a really fair price! Overall though, I think this place is good. Salmon skin roll needs some work but the nigiri was good! I think it's a solid place to get your sushi fix!

Overall couldn't have asked for a better food experience. From the aesthetics and cleanliness of the establishment to the welcoming and kind staff attending to all of our needs to the best of their ability. Our server Jonathan did a great job taking care of us for dinner. Food was of amazing flavor and freshness; we ordered a bunch of food and each plate did not fail to impress. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone who is an avid sushi enjoyer to just looking for a quick bite there is surely something for everyone. Definitely will be trying the drinks and desert next time I'm there

    HAPPY HOUR MENU

Wow! I found this hidden sushi spot tucked away in Hawaiian Gardens and it is so amazing. The Happy Hour is some of the best bang for your buck, espeically in this economy. I got the Salmon Lover Roll because im a huge fan of salmon and it hit the spot. Its quite a small business so seating was really open and the area inside was super cute too. The owner lady at the register was the sweetest lady and kept checking in on us during our meal and it really felt sweet. I recommended this place to all my friends and I will 100% be back for the Happy Hour menu!

I've already been here a few times for takeout, and it's been consistently great. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, and the rolls are definitely worth trying. The spicy edamame is also a must--so flavorful. The interior is clean and nicely designed too. Service is so kind. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Mexican Roll, Salmon Lover Roll, baked salmon, Yellowtail Carpaccio
    Raeann M.

Took a chance on this little gem, it came up on my thread and I thought. WTH?! Let's just say we've ordered from this spot a few times within the last 2 months. Each time getting a new roll. We tried the baked salmon , we were fighting over the last roll! It was melt in your mouth. The yellowtail carpaccio never disappoints. As a Mexican we always need a little spice , the Mexican roll is a good addition. While we have not ate at the restaurant, our orders are always delivered quickly. I call that good customer service!
