Don't use them if you need something delivered on time. I used TCB to get a cake for a special event. The guy on the phone knew how to talk as if they were the most reliable people in the world. As the time got closer to the said delivery time, I checked with the baker to see if it got picked up. Nothing. I called TCB and they said someone was on the way. Long story short, they unapologetically stated that they weren't going to make the delivery and that to call someone else. Instead of being transparent they opted to compromise a special event to save their faces. Their tone was very rude and unapologetic as if we owed them something. Two thumbs down. read more

Horrible experience. I called Little Star to ask them to make me a pizza and deliver it to my house. They told me that I need to do it THROUGH TCB Courier. I went to the TCB Courier website (around 7:10 PM), placed my order, waited. Called back around 8:30 to ask for a status. Dude told me that they never saw my order. Weird. Oh well, I guess I'll figure something else out. Then, literally two seconds after I hung up the phone, I get an email from them with my order, saying "Guy never called little star. No Go." So they DID get my order, but they PRETENDED that they DIDN'T!!! I called back many times til they finally answered the phone, and the guy said that he found it after we hung up and that he didn't intend for me to get that email. He found it the second we hung up? Right! Rule # 1 SHOULD be "don't LIE to your customers" - own up to a mistake and sincerely try to make things right! Poor customer service. Boo. One star. read more

SiTUATION: We had a client meeting in SF on Monday morning, it was currently Sunday and we needed to get some big presentation boards sent from an art store to the client in time for a Monday meeting. Being in Los Angeles and it being a Sunday I didn't know where to turn. So of course I logged on to the best website for advice. Yelp! They had a few recommendations that were not open on Sunday. TCB is absolutely amazing. Seriously some of the most down to earth and hard working folks in SF. With an email and a single phone call from 3000 miles away on a train in New York, I was able to place an order and have them deliver hot soup and spring rolls for a surprise to a sick gentleman home with the flu. David warned me about the charges but was willing to go from Civic Center to the edge of SF in the boonies of the Parkside with no sigh, no complaints, no hassles or any "this bitch is crazy, it's raining!" attitude. At least to my face. David was willing to go above and beyond, being efficient, fast, and friendly. Despite it being NFC Championship game day, pouring rain outside and incredibly busy - he still delivered. He certainly deserved more than the $10 tip if I wasn't strapped for cash at the moment. So it was a Wednesday morning and I got caught in one of our bay area monsoons on the way to work. My tiny umbrella was no match for the 30 mph winds and the horizontal rain. My dress jeans were totally soaked and I needed a new pair of pants delivered to my office in the China Basin building ASAP. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Dude totally crapped his pants!". But no, it wasn't like that. I just needed a fresh pair of pantaloons so I wouldn't catch pneumonia whilst sitting at work. What's it to you? Remember, these guys are (most likely) helping YOU get out of a jam. Some of the 'hater-esque' one and two star reviews seem way too concerned with that. If someone is willing to deliver tacos from my favorite spot way the fuk out on 24th/Treat to (pretty high up on) Nob Hill, they can wear tight jeans, one size too small ironic T-shirts, sport knuckle tattoos, wear Chuck Taylors, have those stupid one inch discs in their ears or wear whatever else they want. Bike messengers are a unique bunch, if you don't feel comfortable with messengers, you are gonna have a tough time finding a GOOD/ FAST/RELIABLE courier. That all being said, I've ordered food from them a few times. They ALWAYS showed up w/correct orders, exact change and fair delivery fees. I can't remember ever paying more than $6-$8 bucks in delivery fees. I always tip well and usually sneak em a nice sized nugget of Oakland's finest GDP. HAAHAHA! Crap. Half my review disappeared. Here's what this awesome service did for me: I live on the Peninsula, but my son works in San Francisco I was going to be out of town for his birthday, so I ordered a cake in advance and scheduled TCB to deliver it during his lunch hour. First, I want to note that this seemingly simply request: for an out of towner to place an advanced delivery order is not simple at all. Many delivery services (the ones with venture backing) just can't do it. Anyway, on the appointed day, at the appointed time, the TCB Courier showed up at the cake shop looking for the cake - but they had no record of it and had no cakes they could substitute. I was *totally* unavailable but the courier didn't quit. S/he (I don't know who it actually was) kept pestering the cake shop, which had taken my money a week earlier, and they finally found the order, made the cake and then, the amazing courier delivered it, just two hours late! Wow. Amazing service in every possible way. TLDR: You want your stuff to get to where it needs to be no matter what? Get TCB. read more

Today i got an email from urbandaddy.com on this new courier service and it was the best news ever. After a late night of drinking the night before, all I wanted was to stay home and have food brought to me. Waiters on wheel is a rip off & options are limited. TCB Courier is what it's all about. These guys are super fast and totally affordable. My favorite cheap Thai restaurant (Thailand Restaurant) does not deliver to my home. But TCB does. You see where I'm going with this. Basil tofu and mango sticky rice whenever I want, without leaving my home. I considered dropping one star, cause the last time I called, the woman who answered the phone gave me a hard time about my location being in "Zone 2" (it's not; I checked their website), and hence more expensive. She called her boss to check that I was right (I was), which was fine. But then she reminded me to tip, which I thought was tacky. But really, I can't take away any stars, cause I just love their service so much. I will be calling them to bring me ice cream, movies, Thai food and more, after long days at work when I can't bear the idea of leaving the house (and looking for parking) again. The messengers they employ are rude, unsafe and could care less about the elderly and disabled people on the sidewalk. They inhabit the corner of 21st and Valencia st., leave their bikes all over the place and block the sidewalk. They almost ran over my boyfriend when he was recovering from cancer surgery- no apoligy the guy just told me to F off. We got so reprieve when the head guy stepped in- but today same old thing. Bikes flying on to the sdewalk at top speed from 21st an Valencia on to the sidewalk. I almost got hit. I was carrying tons of stuff not a one bothered to move out of the way and when I bumped one I was called a b*^#h. Until they get better employees I cannot recommend this service read more

i used TCB a few times in a previous job to pick up and deliver a few things. the online request system is pretty fuggin' easy so hella points on that. the last time i used them there was kind of an issue though it wasn't the couriers fault at all. i had them pick up an envelope at my office that i needed delivered to a hotel for a guest who was arriving into town the following morning super early (the CEO, in fact) and the envelope contained keys to our office because the CEO had "misplaced" his. ahem. when the CEO arrived that morning the envelope was nowhere to be found. after lots, and lots, and lots of phone calls with TCB and the hotel (i'll be honest, i was not the nicest person on the phone, sorry), it was determined that the hotel messed up and misplaced the envelope. BUT... TCB was pretty dang awesome throughout the whole thing. they answered my calls, did a lot of investigative work to try to help me out, and they were apologetic even though it wasn't their fault. read more

Deal with dick heads everyday, City traffic to get the food to their customers on time, and sometimes the order goes in wrong, shit happens. I give these guys Major props.
