As a general rule I don't leave reviews, however, the service man who took care of fixing previous service was, by far, the worst service man I have ever encountered. On the positive side, he arrived on time. After that his demeanor was not that of someone who is working with the public. TCB planted a tree for me and I paid to have a bubbler installed to water the tree. At that time, they said the bubbler was connected with another zone. I told them that was unacceptable that it needed to be on it's own zone. They returned and told me they had fixed it. My mistake for not checking their work. When my irrigation guy came by he told me that every time the bubbler came on the irrigation in that are also came one. I called TCB for service to fix what they were supposed to have already fixed. Since he was here to correct a problem that was here due to previous poor workmanship, I did want to see everything that he was doing. When I asked, he simply did not answer questions. Since I live in Sun City, I will also write up a review to be kept in the books available for other residents to determine if they want to use this company or not. I will share my experience with my neighbors. If you want to lose customers, this is the guy for you. Service was at my house on September 4, 2025 at 8am. I don't know his name cause, ya know, rude. Terrible communication! Do not hire these contractors. They were not able to tell me when I was on their schedule (took months before I was notified the day before they were showing up). Rock placement was sloppy and they didn't have all the plants they promised. Not professional at all. read more

Disappointing quality, abysmal service, horrible communication! After only a year,a significant amount of the polymeric sand (epoxy sand/grout) on our patio eroded and cracked. To compare, the portion of our patio installed by Bowman a year earlier, only needs a little touch-up. I should have seen it coming when they were unable to get the project approved by the Sun City CA. I had to step in and personally work with the CA to get it approved. What I found especially disturbing is how unresponsive TCB is. It took several calls just to hear back, and whenever I did, Kyle the owner, kept changing his story and pushing the repair date out, telling me "If you want a scheduled repair date, it's going to take longer." No apologies for the delays, just an arrogant "That's the way it is ..." Apparently, asking for an appointment (or even a call before showing up) is an imposition. I guess mediocre is their goal; and they hope to rise to that level some day. I wish I'd followed my gut and gone with Bowman for the second phase of our patio. read more

I am a 68 year old retired energy attorney living in Sun City. I relocated here about 18 months age. I have used TCB for several projects, including stonework and plant installation. I have paid them $5000 or so in the last year. The owner Kyle Compton met with me about replacing some stonework. My home is 11 years old. I moved in May 1 of 2021 after doing renovations. Recently, I had entered into a lawn service maintenance agreement where TCB does everything. I was about to have knee replacement surgery and knew I would not be able to do anything for a couple of months. Because of the surgery, in early April I called the TCB office and asked Sarah if by any chance they had a crew doing installations in the area, could they come by and just check the plants, since a number of the plants looked dead. I told her I knew they were busy, but I just wanted them to cut back the plants that might be alive and pull out the dead ones. I said it was fine to wait on replacing the dead ones. This would have taken 30 minutes or less. This woman Sarah said NOTHING when I was speaking to her, so I said "Well, I guess you cannot accommodate me" and said I was hanging up. She said ok. I told myself that the call was a waste of time and asked myself where in the world they found this woman answering their phone. As far as I was concerned, that was that. At lunch that day, the lawn maintenance supervisor called me and gave me a lecture; i.e. that I should not call the office or ask for anything. Basically, "keep your mouth shut and know your place." I told him that I did not appreciate being spoke to to in that manner; it was condescending and insulting. Further, all I had done was make a POLITE request. The next day, Scott Stone showed up at my house and told me he was cancelling my maintenance contract. First of all, he did not have the authority to cancel the contract. Secondly, the contract requires 30 days written notice to cancel. I still have not received that notice. Technically, the contract is still in place. When I called the office, the people answering the phones would not let me speak to Kyle. I had to write three letters (the last one certified mail) to get him to call me. It is unbelievable, but not a single person, including the owner, has apologized to me. Kyle did say that they would replace the dead plants in April. That hasn't happened. Oh, and Kyle and his wife both told me that my personality did not mesh with Scott's. Have you ever heard anything so crazy? It is the customer's responsibility not to say anything to offend a middle-aged man who obviously has a lot of insecurities and has a real problem dealing with women. I truly believe none of this would have happened if I were a man. It is so depressing. And I did not do anything except politely ask for a small accommodation, which I understood they were not going to make. I could take legal action, since TCB breached their own contract- a couple of times. But at 68, do I want to spend my time on people like this? The lunatics are running the asylum for sure. I negotiated and wrote contracts with third parties during my entire career, plus I have hired a ton of people personally. I have had rude individuals from time to time, but I have never had a company behave in this manner. Anyway, single ladies beware. I know it is hard to find people these days, but I would not want anyone else to go through an ordeal like this over NOTHING. Based on my conversations with the owner and personnel, I totally think it could happen to someone else. read more

They leave patches of unbowed grass they cut my front yard with a weed eater they dont weedeat along the fence

Kyle came and planted several shrubs for me and built a fire pit. After 2 months 2 of the shrubs he planted (and said would match the other 5 I already had) are covered with leaf spot. So not only are they diseased but they do not match my existing shrubs which by the way are healthy and almost a year old. His crew also left a huge mess all over my walkway and driveway when the work was completed. Very disappointed. Will not use again. I will buy my future shrubs from Home Depot or Lowe's where they are guaranteed for a year. read more

They broke promises and things. Asked them to mulch flower beds. They never did. Asked them to top-dress the front yard. They never did. They had all-inclusive services in the flat fee contract. They didn't perform them. They broke two irrigation station covers and never replaced and never told me about. I nearly stepped in one and could have broken an ankle. They nearly knocked my air conditioner off the pad with their riding lawn mower. Again, when my air conditioning went out, the serviceman showed me the damage. It is so great to come home to a manicured lawn. Great service and reasonably priced. Wish I had done this sooner.
