We had Operation Jump in Pflugerville install a water slide today for my son's birthday party. During the installation, they completely ruptured the main water line to our home. Water was exploding out of the ground and flooding our yard. Operation Jump claimed they did nothing wrong and were unwilling to assist in any way. It was an emergency situation. I found American Irrigation and they had a technician here within an hour and fixed it quickly. They offered great customer service and were very compassionate about the stressful situation (unlike Operation Jump). I would definitely recommend them! American Irrigation Repair: Inspection $79 - cost of repair ($1025 - $3.2k depending on critical, recommended, or premium). Other company: Inspection $179 - cost of repair including inspection cost $275 After going with the other company, all sprinklers are looking good, all drip lines fixed, clogged heads were unclogged, and broken heads were replaced. A few other minor stuff was done. If I had gone with this company I'm sure the same work would've been done at at least 4x the cost of the other company. American Irrigation Repair said the rain sensor isn't working. Weird, cause it was tested by the other company and it worked fine. There's no "sensor" it's just a soaking pad that weighs down and presses a button, and the button correctly stops the sprinklers. My experience with American Irrigation Repair was not good. At least their inspection is only $79, but considering what they "found" (16 broken heads, 4 broken drip lines, 13 crooked heads, broken rain sensor) even the $79 wasn't worth it. And their cost of repair for each item they "found" is also double the price of other companies. Not a company I would consider using at any point in the future. read more

The 2 man crew showed up as scheduled, after reviewing the problem I had they got to work... Luis came to show me the problem and what it will cost... they had to replace a wire to one of the sprinkler valves which was a major job - they did so well identifying the location and wiring without tearing up my yard, only digging where needed. This company is the best! I originally got two estimates to install a large irrigation system at my new house and by chance thought I'd get a third. The first company came out and gave a stupid high price so when the second guy came out I shared with him their pricing and he basically shaved off a lot with the same scope and sent it to me thinking since he was so much lower I move forward with them. I nearly did! When I spoke to the third company, American, I never talked about other bids. I learned from the second guy. Fortunately that evening I got my estimate from American Irrigation and it was by far the lowest. I was a little skeptical and went over everything in detail with Sean out contact. He explained everything without pressure or sales tactics. The work got started on time and finished on time. They ended up need two additional zones and never revisited the original quote. Half way through I also needed a little extra work that wasn't originally factored in and they took care of it at no additional charge. Their foreman Julian is "get it done" guy. Julian and his team were awesome At the end Sean came back to walk me through everything and review the system. I'm so so happy I went with them!!! read more

Background: We gave a 20-year-old sprinkler system that has been repaired and updated by our lawn service and later 3 different companies. In 2021 we spent ~$$1,200 in zone repairs, nozzle replacement etc. with two different companies. This year our Hunter irrigation controller began to malfunction. AIR: A friend and neighbor recommended American Irrigation Repair (AIR). They conducted a comprehensive audit. The on-site manager repaired our Hunter controller thus saving us several hundred dollars. AIR was precisely on schedule - unusual in the post COVID era - for the audit and for the repair. The AIR team worked tirelessly to repair zones, sprinkler heads, and optimize performance, and they relocated 3 sprinkler heads that were poorly located after some DIY landscaping - the prior company overlooked this. Requested a checkup on a system I've been monitoring myself for 13 years. All sprinkler heads were functioning but I knew a few might had to be raised a bit, replaced or maybe even moved and wanted to see how much that would cost so I showed them the specifics of those few that I was most concerned about. Instead, I got two guys spending untold amount of time decided to remap our entire system which I never asked for them to do. They also said 90% of the sprinkler heads were leaking at the cost of $35 to $40 to fix. They wanted $530 to move one sprinkler head about 7 ft. straight with no obstacles. The quotes I finally got about 2 weeks later ranged from $1500-$3400. I called one other lawn companies for second opinion. I paid their fees to re-evaluate (which were lower) and find out American Irrigation was outrageously quoting me and that only a few sprinkler heads (the ones I had concerns about) where needing replacement. The heads they used were the same brand as well that this company quoted. Watch your wallets. Never calling these guys again and am going to have our HOA re-evaluate using them. read more

We recently had Brandon and Armando come out to perform our American Irrigation Club Tuneup Service. As always the A.I. team was very thorough and efficient and went the extra mile! This "extensive tune-up" includes: Test all sprinkler heads for proper operation, sticking head pressure seals, and proper location. Clear any debris from plugged nozzles, and clean spray head filters on any plugged heads. Adjust sprinkler heads for optimal coverage, and minimal waste. Test all rotating heads for proper rotation. Inspect main supply line for leaks and inspect system for proper pressure. Test all stations for leaking piping, and control valves. Test irrigation valves and stations for proper operation. Test valve adjustment on any with low pressure (if valve is visible). Inspect for missing valve box lids and covers. Test for any loose wires at controller. Test rain sensor connection at controller. Inspect for controller backup battery. Test irrigation controller for proper cycling of zones. Kudos to Brandon and Armando for an excellent job!! American Irrigation has been, and will continue to be, our go-to irrigation service company since we moved to Georgetown 7 years ago. read more

I had a problem with my irrigation system. Whenever I had one zone on, another zone that has rotors would also come on. This would waste a tremendous amount of water. Drip zones that need the most time would come on, this other zone would water for the same amount of time. Filiberto diagnosed the problem. He replaced the controller and added a new zone module to split a drip and spray zone into individual zones. Then he and his assistant, Juan, inspected all my system. The raised some heads, lowered others, straightened out a few and cleaned a bunch more. They then set my control box with the correct amount of watering at the correct times. They did excellent work and I highly recommend American Irrigation! read more

Outstanding service from American Irrigation Repair. They've been servicing our office campus location in Cedar Park, TX for more than 3 years now and I couldn't be more pleased with the speed and professionalism of their services. This company really has its act together... from their call to remind you well in advance of scheduled services, to their well notated invoices and excellent services, I really can't say enough good things about these guys. To be fair, I haven't utilized other irrigation repair companies, but with such outstanding service, why would I even want to shop around. We have them out every six months to check over our system and make repairs. Given that our system is ~ 20 years old, there's always a few required repairs. My only complaint would be that irrigation system parts and repair labor aren't exactly cheap, but given the effort required in some of the repairs and the understanding required to make sure the right part is utilized, I'll gladly offload these tasks to a third party. Our usual technician is Agustin Valadez and I want to call him out specifically in this review, due to his attention to detail and high degree of professionalism. Agustin is not only very courteous and fast at what he does, he is more than willing to explain everything in whatever detail is required to make me feel knowledgeable and confident in the repair or workaround selected. If you need help with maintaining your irrigation system, you really can't go wrong with this company. read more

Update as of March 2017: The owner of the company called me to find out what exactly happened. I explained to him that a guy came out, said he fixed what was the issue. After the buyer called American Irrigation, she realized that nothing had been fixed. I called company again to fix issue and they did. My issue was that I was charged twice for the service call. The owner refunded the first service call via check. He listened to my feedback, some good and some bad. The bad: I wasn't there on the first visit, but had to schedule it when I did so it would be resolved before our closing. I was in another state for my mom's funeral. We talked about how the owner needs to be there to pass information to technician. The good: I thought I had paid for the second visit, but had not. A couple of months went by because we were in the middle of a move and kept missing the calls. The gals in the office were totally patient during this time. I finally got it paid and received the refund so at the end of the day they made it right. Lesson for consumer: Be there when technician is there, ask questions and if you don't feel like you're getting a full answer, call the office. Lesson for business owners: When I was trying to explain that I paid for two service calls, I stated that I was going to write a Yelp review to describe the experience. The person that took the call said, ok. When we say we are going to write a review, don't blow us off. Nobody's perfect, but you may want to resolve the issue before the review hits the interweb. I signed up for their 20-point tune-up because I knew there was a problem with my drip-irrigation zone. At the last minute, I had to reschedule the time, and the staff was very quick to arrange a slightly later appointment the same day. As I suspected, there were a number of issues affecting my system that were fixed promptly. It felt kind of expensive because I probably left a lot of little things to linger around, so I have now signed up for their regular service as otherwise I would just put it off. If you have a sprinkler system at your house, keep on top of it with these guys. read more

They forgot to call us back and when they did they Tracey told us they no longer had time to help us and they were no longer taking new customers. I cannot believe how many good reviews this company has received so I think this problem might be technician dependent. I called because of a problem that was intermittent so presumed electrical. Tech said he could find nothing wrong. I also asked that he look at sprinkler coverage and said all was good (not!). It took another company less than 10 minutes to discover that the wiring at the master valve needed to be respliced and now all is good. So I'm out the cost of having American Irrigation come out and do nothing (except exact a 'service charge' for using a credit card for payment - who does that any more???). So I'm updating my review because I've had another experience with American Irrigation, and I couldn't be happier. After their first visit, I noticed that one of the sprinkler heads that was supposed to be fixed on their first visit still wasn't working. I called their offices and they sent someone out the next day. He was also local and I think even lives in my neighborhood. Long story short, he discovered the head was clogged, cleaned it out, tested the system and we are good to go. He was very friendly and I wasn't charged a penny. Our experience with American Irrigation was great! They were able to schedule an appt. within a few days mid-summer (when I'm sure they are the busiest!). The technician, Brad, was very thorough & knowledgable. We had just moved into to a 20 year-old house and the sprinkler system had many issues. He made suggestions that were specific to the trees and plants in our yard to make sure they weren't over or under watered. He helped us map our system and to quit watering our rocks. : ). Our neighbor wanted a bid from them as well, but beofre deciding to go with them, wanted to get quotes from others. So heck, why he has the other companies out we had them bid our work as well.
