Before I met Freddy, I had been scammed by another contractor and was living in a house with no floors, and no working bathroom or kitchen. Needless to say, I was in huge despair. Freddy came in with a competitive price and was willing to take on the project, knowing that there were many unknowns from the previous contractor, who clearly did not know what he was doing. He was easy to work with, always communicative and responsive, and completed the job within the predicted time frame. He did the best he could to fix the previous contractors work, and came back to fix any errors. After getting scammed, it was definitely hard to trust again. After my experience with TCS Renovation and Painting, I can say that I am beginning to trust again. Thank you Freddy. Warning! We hired Freddie with high hopes to do a huge remodel on our kitchen, but unfortunately Freddie did not live up to those expectations. The project started well, and Freddie continually told us that his word was good as gold, but as the project continued we quickly learned that he just spouted things with little follow through. We had a plethora of issues, and I shudder to think how many more we would have had, if I had not been present daily and managed the project. He would occasionally show up, but his 'workers' tended to show up at odd times for short periods. It was as if he was hiring part time workers to fill in gaps. We had issues with the plumbers, electrical, and the installers. We ended up having to call in our own electrician after the job was 'complete' and he had to fix the 'ghetto job' that Freddie's guy had done, and he stated it would never have passed an inspection. The cabinet installer decided to cut the cabinets vs. installing them flush, as we discussed. This led to us needing to buy extra trim, which was never completely installed(as of today the job finished in July). The final work was sloppy and rushed! Freddie badgered me to pay him the last payment, before the job was finished, and I regret it! They punched holes in the wall between the garage and kitchen, and it was a fight getting them back to fix them! They also damaged a few other things! The house and garage was left in a huge mess, which took us days to clean. In writing Freddie agreed to pay us a sum for damage and send his guy to complete the job. Now months later he still has not paid and never finished. He has ghosted is not replying to a multitude of emails. During the job he was constantly 'going to Australia'(where you couldn't actually travel), 'going to Mexico', 'In the hospital', or replacing his phone which he supposedly destroyed in water twice, and it was always 'our job' that cut his personal time short or that was the reason things weren't done or no one showed. In conclusion, Freddie's word is useless. We ended up with extra damages and expenses, due to his lack of quality work. He never completed the job, which we paid him for, and he still owes us money! read more

I have used TCS Renovation for a number of jobs. The first was a major remodel of our kitchen (took it down to the studs and rafters), both bathrooms and the family room. This was a few years ago. He and his crew did a fantastic job! I did use a licensed home designer to create the layouts of the kitchen and bathrooms which helped a lot. Everybody knew what the finished jobs would look like. A year ago I noticed that the ceiling in the garage was starting to sag and the nails holding up the sheetrock were coming out. Our home is 40 years old. He got with an engineer who said that additional support was needed in the attic to more fully secure the rafters to the joists. His team added additional 2x4's and reattached the sheetrock with screws. I also had him add additional blown insulation. The ceiling is back where it should be. Most recently I used TCS to paint the bedrooms, and retexture and paint the ceiling and walls in the living and dining rooms, in preparation for selling our house. They did a great job. The first person to visit the house after it went up for sale bought it. We close next week. Freddy has always been very honest and thorough. We contacted Freddie after he was referred to us by a friend to build us an outdoor kitchen. In the beginning everything seemed okay. One of the main reasons we hired a contractor was because we have an irrigation system we needed rerouted to put the kitchen in. Before we know what has happened, he simply poured concrete over it! Didn't reroute anything, just covered the sprinkler heads with concrete. We asked for cabinets in the front of the kitchen, he put stone (that we had to pay for separately) along the entire front amd hardie board on the back (so it looks unfinished) and we had to remind him again that we wanted cabinets. Well, he put these weird access doors that can only be removed with a flathead screwdriver on the backside, completely useless and can't be used for storage, only to get the propane tank out. We had to ask for the stone to be sealed, even though we were orginally told it would be. There were huge gaps in the overhang from the roof and he went over budget, a lot. And that's with him asking us to buy all the appliances and stone. His team would regularly no call no show on us and it was clear that pride in workmanship was not a priority. We ended up needing to call an electrician and roofer to come fix issues because they were not done correctly. If you are looking to add value to your home, do not use TCS! read more

The problem wasn't known until the baseboards where pulled off and the rytech mediation tech found the nail right their in the pipe. . since you want to not tell the truth I will post pictures of your "great work" I didn't even mention you scratched my chairs. Now the couch was stained? you did demo and got dust over all my furniture due to the fact you didn't use plastic and tape everything up. You received the final payment bc you said the touch ups were minor and you would send someone over. but I should of known once i paid it would be hard to get you back out.. Im sorry for trusting your word. But i will post pics so these people can see the truth. They rejected my claim bc the damage was caused by improper installation from your company like it said on the paperwork from the insurance company and I will see you in court.. STAY AWAY PEOPLE !! We hired this company to replace our deck last summer. It was suppose to take 5 days to complete. It took two months. They put the wrong sub floor down so the outdoor tile immediately started to crack and come loose. They would not repair it. This summer, 10 months later, we had to hire another contractor to demolish and rebuild the deck. There was water standing after each rain and that made the deck slick. We are older people and were afraid of falling. Not only was the wrong sub floor but down, they did not file for a building permit as required and the railing on the deck was not up to code. Because repairs were not made, the sub floor was wet and moldy. We only asked them to demolish their work as a "settlement" but they refused. It was a costly project for people on a fixed income. I just don't want them to hurt anyone else. read more

Freddie and his crew did an outstanding job on our kitchen. We had this kitchen since 1980 and the wife wanted a new complete renovation that I for one did not want to do. Freddie and his crew came in and did a great job. The kitchen looks, feels and functions as a new conventional and modern kitchen. We did floors, walls and new innovations to get the results we wanted and would stand the test of time. There were issues but they were cleared up easily and the results are fantastic. Freddy has done work at our house for 8+ years, he has been our 'go-to' for everything. He is competitive and does a great job. If anything comes up that is not right, he is very quick to fix it and make it right. I would not recommend this team. Freddy is very nice and impressionable when you meet him. However, he over promises and under delivers. I had a over sized shower in my master bedroom, and wanted a tub/shower combo. It was two weeks before Thanksgiving, and he assured me that he could complete the job within 7 days. Needless to say, it has been a month. Freddy is the general contractor, however, he was not available to review the work of his team. We had to call him back several times because the work was less than impressive. He did take ownership and try to come back and fix the work. But, in the end, I have a shower that is not leveled. The workers left a mess (inside and outside my home) and they don't respect your home or your landscaping. read more

TCS performed a number of renovations for us last year including painting the outside of our home. And this year TCS power washed our wood fencing, rebuilt one of the fence gates, replaced a half dozen fence posts and replaced a dozen fence slats. TCS also did minor repairs to the rear deck, which was in pretty poor shape.
