The service was great. The food was good, but they give very little protein in their meals, so you will leave hungry unless you order extra meat or tofu. The matcha was sadly awful. It was very pale green with absolutely zero detectable matcha flavor. It had a thick layer of bubbles on top which indicates that it was frothed or shaken and not properly whisked. This place is just what Redding needed. I love being able to get healthy fresh food that is easily customizable. They have an expansive drink menu as well. I love anything with their chipotle sauce. First time here but it's been on my radar. I'm not a tea drinker but I can assure you they have quite the line-up. So we came for the food. We got there right when they open. It's an order at the counter place with a build your own drinks, wraps or bowls...lots of choices. I was a bit overwhelmed and the nice cashier offered us menus that we could look over at a table. As I turned and headed towards a table, a large group started coming through the door. Like twenty of them! I quickly turned around and rattled out an order. My wife did the same. We got our table number and sat at some high tops. It's a really nice, sleek, modern, open space dining area. Lots of windows and natural light. We watch as the crew gracefully handled the large opening surge. Our food was table delivered promptly. Just a perfectly tasty wrap with a dipping sauce. Depending on what you order, it's a pretty guilt free meal. After all you are the one picking everything out. We shall return...and perhaps try one of those tea things:) read more

No bubbles, no strawberries, just two old looking lime slices. When I took it back the only explanation I got was "we are using club soda" and that's it. Went into TBar to order takeout for Mother's Day lunch. It's one of our favorite spots and, despite the high cost, one we visit regularly. Today was a huge disappointment. We ordered two bowls and two wraps, and four drinks. My drink was not good, it tasted mostly like seltzer with a hint of mint. I asked the employee at the bar to add more raspberry, which she did graciously, but she ran out of puree and it still tasted terrible. The other drinks were fine. Then we got our to-go food, drove all the way to our destination and every.single.item. was incorrect. The two wraps we ordered had customizations but nothing to warrant the errors (ordered two chicken wraps with romaine but no rice, no sauce, and what we received was two chicken wraps with baby greens, couscous and oil and vinegar sauce). Both bowls we ordered were incorrect, they had the proteins switched (we were able to correct those on our own but should not have had to). The lid to the dressing also wasn't secured so it spilled all over the bowl and out the side onto the table. I attempted to call the store to discuss it with a manager and suggest to check in the food prep team to avoid anyone else having my experience, but you can't get a human on the phone; there was no answer and no option to leave a message. I have a lot of understanding and respect for restaurant workers, as it's not an easy industry, but when I'm spending that kind of money I expect more conscientious preparation. read more

Just when we were finding ourselves enjoying the Tea Bar we ran into some problems: The drinks we ordered were not what we ordered, my Peach Palmer had only a large slice of lemon, no piece of a peach, very little ice and was made with soda water. My partner ordered Strawberry Lemonade, and he got "Sparkle Me, Strawberry Lime, and the drinks were served in to go plastic not the glasses we had come to enjoy. I was told they ran out of glasses. The chicken bowl was good, but the avocado toast was not what I consider toast, as in fresh and warm, rather it was very cold and dry and stale, also I'm not sure why it should be so spicy which I do not care for. My point is, the Tea Bar is not inexpensive, therefore we have reasonably high expectations and our visit on 6/13/26 simply did not measure up. The staff were confused with differences in our drinks, but we were not at all confused because we knew what we had ordered and what we were accustomed to having and it was all wrong, even their second try did not get it right so we had them refer to the itemized drinks on our receipt. I happened to glance at another review where there was an error in the drinks that were ordered. You have a very lengthy list of Tea Bar drinks so I can see how an order could go wrong, so I am guessing more training and focus by staff. The brown rice/quinoa base is accompanied with many vegetable additions like grated carrot and edamame and is topped with a sizable piece of perfectly prepared hoisin marinated salmon. Years ago I went to Chico state and ate t bar probably once a week for 4 years straight. I have visited this location every time I'm in town (probably 10-15 times total) and recently had gotten the wrong order given to me. Additionally, there is hardly ANY protein in these bowls or wraps. For what they charge and for them to charge extra for salmon, it's such a rip off. Tbar never dissapoints! Was a favorite of ours when we lived in Chico and when they came to Redding we were pumped! Probably the best healthy quick option in town. Delicious food and drinks! I don't always get a tea but when I do it's one of the sparkly options. Ginger Pear is a favorite but I've never actually had one I didn't like. I always order the sweet chili chicken bowl with half brown rice and half salad greens. It's incredibly filling and nutritious. The teriyaki is my fave dressing. I was brought here on a recent visit to Redding and I'm so disappointed I don't live closer! I loved the outdoor space, it was so cozy and I'd have sat outside if I'd had time. The grapefruit skyliner was recommended, but I got the Honeydew Chill. I knew it would either be amazing or terrible. It was amazing. It tasted EXACTLY like honeydew, and brought waves of warmth and summer over me every time I had a sip. The warmth was weird, considering it was 40 degrees outside, and it's an iced beverage.... But it was so good. The only reason I'm glad I don't live closer is because if I lived closer, I'd spend all of my money here, but I'd be broke and happy. read more

Every time we're in Redding, we stop by the Tea Bar & Fusion Cafe! The grilled chicken and tofu brown rice quinoa bowls are our favorite. I don't know how they make their creamy teriyaki sauce so good! It goes perfectly with the rice bowl, which is topped with carrots, edamame beans, sprouts, and avocado (we pay extra to add avocado). The bowl contains enough food to split into two meals. The drinks are always well-made here. This last time I ordered the honeydew chill which was refreshing on a 100+ degree weather day. The restaurant is well-kept and always clean whenever we've visited. The employees were all very friendly and nice. There's plenty of parking but I'd advise parking too close to the Chick-fil-A drive-through entrance though. read more

As this was our first visit, we had plenty of questions on how to build our bowls and we really felt like the staff cared to explain it all to us.
