Normally I keep it on the side because sometimes it may be a rich sauce and just want to not drench the food. But the flavors of the food and arugula in the salad with the wasabi sauce was so complimentary I ended up drenching it myself! Then there is a delicious fruit tea that was good. The teas here are so good. I'm always happy with them. The wait can be kind of long so I make sure to order on the app beforehand. The one time I ordered a wrap from there, I was disappointed. I love lettuce on a wrap, but this one was ALL lettuce with a tiny bit of meat. No exaggeration. The amount was so small that I couldn't even taste it. Attempted to go to t-bar around 3:45-4pm today (2/02/22). We brought our dog because the plan was to grab dinner, eat on their patio and then go to the sundial to walk. We walk in, no one's in line and maybe 3 customers inside. We go to the counter and before anything can be said we're told we have to take our dog outside. No dogs allowed. Typically I understand however we already planned on eating outside but they don't come to us to take our order and I even asked can't we place our order first? We're going to go on the patio. We got told no. So we left. The amount of time it took to tell us all of that, we could've had our order done. We get the same thing every time. Now we didn't argue or fight it we just left. BUT I will say I felt if it was me I would've placed the order especially if I was told we planned on being outside. Not to mention my dog is a service dog. No she's not wearing a vest but her collar has her service dog info. She's registered as a service & an emotional support dog. She doesn't bark, doesnt growl, doesn't do anything but be next to me. Maybe if she started with "hi how are you..instead we got your dog can't be in here, we'll need to ask you to take her outside", I wouldn't be writing this but overall not impressed. What was I suppose to do with her while I was inside ordering? Attach her to your heating lamps and hope my 110lbs dog doesn't try to come to me and tear it down? Or your chairs that she'd drag around? Your customer service could use some work, I work in a restaurant and we help come up with a solution to meet in the middle. That wasn't an option today. I had a solution, let us order and then we'll be outside. But nope. read more

Update: When Tea Bar announced they were coming to Redding, many people I knew were super excited. And now I get it. Everything I have tried is delicious. I particularly love their chicken bowl with chipotle sauce with half rice and half micro greens! Pair it with a Honeydew Chill with pearls. So good! I could eat here everyday. My only frustration is the wait time can be notable. Staff members are always friendly but honestly look confused 40% of the time. I've had to be assertive and ask them if my order was ready when it had clearly been sitting in the back counter for several minutes. They could work on the training of some staff. But it doesn't stop me from coming back because their food is so good. If they handled some of the bottlenecks in preparing orders or had better training, I would give them 5 stars. read more

Boba tea with vanilla was tasty though it was overly sweet and the boba were stuck together so I couldn't get to almost half of it.

Great portion and delicious drinks here. My boyfriend came across this place because we were just passing though town. The tea is very refreshing and the frozen drink tasted as a dessert. Last time I came here it was so delicious and great portions. This time they switched up our orders, wrote "tofu" on the salmon order and there wasn't even anything visible to know the difference. I am vegan so this was really upsetting for me. One side of each of our wraps (salmon and tofu) didn't even have any protein in it at all. I do not recommend the wraps at all just go with a bowl. My go-to for a large, fresh healthy bowl meal with great toppings. Everything tastes so good, it's unique, always fresh, always consistent. I feel the their prime rib (a topping option) is a bit too salty, but, hey, that's helping stay with their grilled salmon as a protein topping--always perfectly cooked. It may seem pricey but their portions are really generous: You know when restaurants say "avocado" and there's one tiny slice laying over a bed of lettuce, and you want to cry but that's inappropriate in public/no adult should cry for that reason? Here it's 1/2 of a perfect avocado, every time. The salmon topping is a huge amount. It's a three course meal, portion-wise (IMO). BUT that dang sinful chocolate cake of theirs. That cake is 100% addictive. The shear will power to avoid getting that cake burns calories. So: get the cake! read more

I normally LOVE this place. And I'm hoping today was just a fluke. We shared and ordered a bowl with salmon and Chipotle ranch. The ranch seemed a bit off, thicker than the usual and the salmon was pretty mushy. I had to remove some of the salmon from my mouth and spit it in a napkin as it was just a gross texture. Some of it was okay but some of it was odd. I eat salmon a lot so this was so weird to me. Both my husband and I within an hour had gurgling stomachs and later have gotten sick. My husband didn't eat any of the salmon so I'm assuming it's the ranch? I'm not sure. Either way, it's the only meal we ate together today and both reacted the same way. It was 7pm and I know it's the end of the day, possibly the ranch went bad? I hope I can convince my husband to give it another chance. read more

I really want to like and support this place, I have been a patron of the Chico location for many years. I love that Redding is getting new food options! I've been 3x since they opened in Redding. I understand that they are new so I am being a patient and hopeful customer. The first time my wait was about 40min, granted it was a bit busy. The second time my in person order was completely missed, and unfortunately it was during a slow time. After about 20min I asked about my order, the girl rewrote my ticket and the kitchen made new food. I was told sorry and that my original order was actually ready & sitting there waiting, just with no tag. I think I should have been comped or offered a discount for next time. I was frustrated. Third time was much better, the only thing was that the extra sauce I paid for was not in the bag. I love the green tea coconut drink, the peach freeze and mango frost are too sweet in my opinion. I will continue to support this business and I love fresh food options. I hope my review can help them improve customer service. read more

I know this place is new but dang do these guys got some work to do. I'm use to this place cause I lived in chico and tea bar was one of our go to's. So we ordered around 6:45 and these people run out of season white rice and even brown rice. I'm sorry thats like going to a Mexican restaurant and them running out of beans and rice. And since when does edimame come standard on a salad chico location never did that. And my dressing was the consistency of molasses so I had to water it down. Wow I can't believe I found such great health food in Redding! I never tried this place before because I assumed it would be like the other "health food" restaurants around here but this place actually has really good quality food. I ordered the make your own bowl with brown rice, vegetables & tofu, additionally i ordered the tangerine ginger green tea drink both were 10/10. I LOVE the low cal miso dressing, it's actually incredible, tastes great and has what seems to be NO oil in it at all. Idk what could be better than that, the bowl itself was great, contents were very fresh despite me being an hour late to pick up. The drink was incredible exactly what you could hope for, very low sugar content yet tasted perfectly sweet, real fruit juice (no fake flavoring) the combination of tea & juice was great! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nearly every restaurant I've tried here in Redding has made me feel sick afterwards from how bad quality the food was even the so called "nice" restaurants (if you know you know), but this place was an entirely different story. I ordered the bowl with the rice/couscous blend and tofu with the ginger wasabi dressing, it was freaking amazing. It was also plenty of food for two people with a little bit of leftovers! The tofu is grilled and not soggy. The only thing I could say is next time I will order extra dressing because it was a perfect compliment to the tofu! We also ordered the hummus with some extra naan and it was amazing! Between the hummus and the tofu bowl there was plenty of food for two people with leftovers. We will definitely be back. Tea Bar is so fun! It's one of the more trendy feeling spots in Redding. It has a hot and new vibe. Their teas and tea options are amazing. Their iced carbonated teas are the bomb. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because their cafe food options are really lacking and super over priced for what it is. It is very fresh and healthy but not really worth the price in my opinion. I'll pay $5+ for a fancy fun tea drink (youre paying for the atmosphere and the experience too, which is okay with me) but the food isn't amazing enough for the $10-15+ price. Speaking of the atmosphere, it is a lot of fun. They have fire pits, a fountain, and heat lamps outside to accommodate the outdoor seating. It's always busy and hopping with people. read more
