Tea For You is on Kapiolani, next to the pho restaurant. They share a customer lot, limited spots. The customer service was excellent. Super friendly. Prices are similar to other boba shops. If you follow them on instagram, you can get 10% off your drink! This shop is neat in that they offer a regular and JUMBO size. I have never seen jumbo size at a boba shop before. Unfortunately, when I visited the boba was still cooking. I still enjoyed my classic milk tea. The reason for the 1-star deduction has entirely to do with my preference for milk tea. I usually get 25-50% sweetness at boba places. I read another review that shared the tea is on the sweeter side at this business. Even with the 25% sweetness level, my drink was very sweet. I prefer a stronger tea flavor, subtle sweetness and slight creaminess to my milk teas. If I ever go back, I may try a different drink or adjust the sweetness. Still worth a try! Every time I'm in Hawaii I love visiting here. The tea is freshly brewed and has a nice floral flavor. The line moves quickly even when they are busy. The owner and staff are kind and friendly. They even have a cute photo wall and outlets to make the experience even more enjoyable while you wait for your drink. read more

We got two jasmine bobas - one they messed up and made it a jasmine milk tea even though I didn't want it with milk. I was just too lazy to have them change it. I tried the sakura agar boba since they didn't have aloe and it didn't really taste super florally to me but it was a cute pink. It was still pretty sweet even at 50%. My kids loved my drink! My friend wanted to try the toasts so we got a garlic and the marshmallow ice cream and holy sweet balls. It's a frickin tower of sugar haha and we couldn't finish it but it was tasty. Both are on thick toasts, think the delicious Japanese thick white toast with toppings. It seemed pricy but we enjoyed our time there. My friends and I were around the Ala Moana area and wanted to grab boba. We noticed this shop newly opened up in place of many previous boba shops and decided to check it out. It's located next to the Pho 1 Vietnamese and across of Pan Am Building where ASB is on Kapiolani Blvd near Ala Moana Center. There's a small parking lot in front of the store and maybe in the garage with only maybe a handful of stalls. I couldn't choose what I wanted to really drink at the time we went as there was a huge menu selection of drinks. I eventually chose their Black Sesame Smoothie with custard. The custard was a weird addition to my smoothie, much regret. But the drink itself wasn't too bad. There wasn't a strong nutty flavor that I like my black sesame to be but still good! The custard definitely threw me off LOL. Hopefully the next time I visit, the shop will still be here as I do want to try their milk teas. read more

The jumbo size here is truly jumbo. I don't think I've ever had a cup so large lol it was awesome. I got the Classic Milk Tea with boba and it was really good. Usually I don't like it 100% sweet but this time I got 100% sweet and I'm glad I did because it wasn't even that sweet. 100% was the perfect amount of sweetness for me. Our drink came out really fast even though there was only one woman running the whole shop! Great customer service and clean shop! It's in the former location at Cha Tea on Kapiolani Blvd. They have an extensive drink menu. Growing up I always ate black sesame paste, so I was ecstatic that they had a black sesame smoothie. It was really good. The owner told me that she used condemned milk in it, so she didn't add any other sweeteners. I told her that it was perfect, as I don't like my drinks too sweet. She can always make if sweeter for you if that's your preference. They have plain teas, milk teas, smoothies, lattes, lemonades, fruit teas, cheese teas and yogurt drinks. Staff is nice and friendly and can explain any questions you may have. The milk teas and fruit mills are also good. Location is quite convenient with a few open parking, but it's better if you are walking. There's a few tables and chairs if you want to take a break with your tea and relax (but chairs aren't very comfortable). They get four stars because the staff is nice and generally the teas are pretty good, but there's nothing about this place that makes it any different than the boba place that stood here before. read more

I've been on the hunt for a go-to boba place since my favorite spot recently closed down. I had high hopes for Tea for You but was pretty disappointed. I ordered the peach tea with boba. The tea itself was pretty bland and didn't have a lot of peach flavor. The boba consistency was a little too soft (I like boba to be squishy and bouncy). The sweetness of the boba was good though. The workers were super nice and helped answer our questions since it was our first time. There's tons of drink options but my friends and I got the following drinks at 50% sweetness - 1) Mango Sago - this was super refreshing and it felt like the mango was blended so it had a nice texture! 2) Black Sesame Smoothie - we love black sesame and was super happy to see this on the menu. If you're looking for something sweet with a roasted nutty flavor, this is the drink to get 3) Wheat Germ milk tea - this was so good, had lots of tea flavor. I got the matcha milk tea from here and I really wish I hadn't. I prefer my matcha to actually taste somewhat on the stronger side, and this matcha tasted very sweet and artificial. It also was very powdery. The boba was nice and soft, but added even more sweetness to the already sweet matcha. I ordered my drink at 25% sweetness, so I was hoping it would at least be a little less sweet! The worker there also took quite some time to take my order, but I think it was because the person in front of me was getting the toast, and since she was the only worker, she had to go and do everything herself. There's so many boba places on the island that are better than here and cheaper than here (it was $8 for my drink!), so I would suggest going somewhere else instead. read more

This place is very cozy. The staff is kind and the smoothies and Boba tea is very good. My only wish is that they would bring back the peanut butter smoothie.
