Refreshing beverage in Honolulu, Hawaii... Since I was in Chinatown on a Sunday when metered street parking is free, I tried to find Sweetyee because my friend, Angel H. was there and wrote a review with photos. She was right when she said to look for the bright pink storefront! The entrance is on Maunakea Street - even though the address is Hotel Street. Sweetyee is located across the street from Sing Cheong Yuan Bakery. This is a takeout only vendor with a kind woman doing everything... taking orders, making change, pounding up the lemons and other fresh fruits, and heat sealing the cups. She's awesome! My watermelon lemon tea was wonderful on this sunny April morning! Wishing this new business much success!

I haven't been to Chinatown in a while. I was there today to get dim sum for lunch. As we were walking down Maunakea we saw this new boba and smoothie shop. You can't miss it. It's the only pink storefront on the street. It was a hot day, so we wanted something to quench our thirst. We decided to try the mango pomelo sago $7.99. It was delicious. It was creamy, sweet and had bits of real mango in it. It was a lot better than how most boba shops make it. The two other drinks I want to try are the papaya smoothie and cheese foam watermelon tea. There was one person working in the shop. The woman was the cashier and made the drinks. She was nice and efficient. The drink came out fast.

This small little place is a gem!! Was so thirsty and hot and we stumbled upon this place. Two ladies working hard filling to go orders and anyone coming up to order. They definitely have the system down operating seamlessly. We ordered the mango pomelo sago smoothie and I highly suggest it. I would come back just for this drink it was so delicious!

This Saturday was my fourth time buying drinks at this store. Today I bought the avocado sago pudding, and it tasted amazing! The price was also very reasonable, only $7.99, and the ingredients were very fresh. A little boy came to help out today; it was the first time I'd ever met him. He accidentally spilled my drink, and the lady in the store kept apologizing and comforting him. Later I learned that the boy had just turned 16, and this was his first job. I sincerely encouraged him to keep it up! Although he made mistakes, he was very conscientious and responsible, cleaning up all the spilled drinks. He's such a good kid; keep up the good work!

Good price for the size of the drink. Taste is good. Owner was nice. I found out the whole shop is a one women operation so I'm very impressed. I'm always happy to support local businesses.

I bought their mango sago pudding by chance, and the fruit was very fresh and the taste was perfect. The next day I went back and bought their fruit tea, which was also delicious. I highly recommend everyone try it. The smiling owner made me very

One of the better lemon tea that I have had. Not too sour and not too sweet. The price was good for how big the drink was.

Super late review -…read more I'm sad. I really wanted to love this place but I just couldn't. I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.

Parking is super easy with the complimentary structure, and the café is located on the bottom floor alongside other vendors. One thing I immediately appreciated was how well air-conditioned the entire market is--it's nice and cool, which makes sitting and eating there really comfortable. The cashier recommended the turkey pesto croissant, but suggested swapping it onto ciabatta since it's one of her favorites--and I'm so glad I trusted her. It was phenomenal. The flavors were balanced, the bread held everything together perfectly, and it felt like a step above your typical sandwich. I also had what looked like a simple salad, but the vinaigrette and candied pistachios really elevated it and made it feel more thoughtful than expected. The staff across the board were friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of seating--whether inside the café or out in the open market area. Honestly, the value surprised me the most. I paid under $13 for everything, which is hard to beat for the quality. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

(I used to frequent the Kahala location back before its Ku'ono Marketplace glow-up.) I'm usually an acai bowl loyalist at Lanikai Juice, so smoothie sampling was a first sip adventure. Location: Inside SALT at Our Kaka'ako, facing Ala Moana Blvd. Parking: Closest lot sits at the corner of Ala Moana Blvd and Coral St (entrance on Coral). You can also use the SALT lot on Keawe St, or play musical chairs with street parking. The Coral St lot is paid via QR code posted on signs - snap, register, and pay before you bounce. Atmosphere: Compact, but still has that classic Lanikai Juice feel. Seating is scarce, but we scored the seat jackpot with the window-facing bar (perfect for a trio). Drinks, snacks, and merch line the walls, while cup and bowl sizes are clearly displayed at the register - no guesswork needed. Drinks: I went with the Lanikai Splash, while my friend and her boyfriend ordered the... "I-don't-remember" smoothies. Mine hit the spot, and judging by their nods of approval, theirs did too. Service: Smooth, our drinks were blended and in hand within 5-10 minutes. Price: Roughly $30 total, generously covered by my friend's boyfriend. Would I return? Parched and passing by? Sure!

There are several locations of Lanikai Juice. I chose the one in Kaka'ako... between Starbucks and Highway Inn. It has free parking in the shared lot for one hour! Inside, the space is clean, colorful, and nicely air-conditioned! The staff were a bit busy as each order is made freshly! I got a Super Green smoothie: apple juice, mint, spinach, Hawaiian spirulina, lemon juice, apple, and banana. It wasn't too sweet, but just right! I didn't feel guilty at all with this choice!

The colorful artwork throughout the cafe gives it a unique and welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Açaí Da Cove (Small) with granola, banana, strawberry, and honey. The fruit was fresh, the granola added a nice crunch, and the honey brought everything together perfectly. It was refreshing, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. We also tried the Strawberry Zowie smoothie and the Piña Colada smoothie. Both were delicious. The Strawberry Zowie was smooth and packed with fresh strawberry and banana flavor, while the Piña Colada was creamy, refreshing, and a great complement to the açaí bowl. Fresh ingredients, friendly service! Parking is tight but worth it.

Whatever is currently being served as "açaí" tastes nothing like açaí. Instead of the rich, dark berry flavor and texture I was expecting, it was a strange lavender-colored mixture that seemed heavily diluted and lacked the authentic taste of açaí altogether. I've been a customer for years, so this wasn't just a one-off first impression. The quality seems to have changed dramatically, and it's frustrating to pay premium prices for something that barely resembles an açaí bowl. I truly hope Da Cove revisits their recipe or ingredients because this used to be one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed and unlikely to return until the quality improves.
