Lavender Chai - I normally would not order chai, let alone a flavored chai. But I got to try a sip from a friend and this one was actually quite enjoyable. The lavender doesn't overpower the chai. Big thumbs up for that. Pastries - I tried two, a bacon scone perhaps? And I think a breakfast sandwich of some kind. I'm not adding a lot of detail because they weren't super memorable. Normal coffee shop fair, not what I would be coming back for. It's a big space, nice for meeting friends or sitting down to study or read. That area of Washougal is also quite nice to walk around. Walking in, they have a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The menus were displayed with what they were offering that day. I could see through the back windows their operations of where they roast their beans and package them. I ordered a filter coffee, the "La Victoria" from Colombia. It took less than 5 minutes wait to receive it. Overall, I thought my cup was pleasant and tasted of good quality coffee beans. I won't hesitate to return if I'm ever back in the area!

It was yummy, as was my ham, egg, and cheese breakfast croissant sandwich. The elevated plating for the croissant sandwich was a nice touch. Instead of blobbing mustard on the plate or offering packets, they gave my plate a pretty swoosh of mustard with a sprinkling of chopped chives. I didn't expect this, but I appreciate that they went the extra step, as we eat first with our eyes! He did not make me feel silly for having questions, and he did a good job of both training his coworker and being attentive to the line at the same time. I ordered a sugar free salted caramel soda (there were so many sugar free options!!!) It was delightful. I was a little apprehensive that it would actually taste like the flavor, but I was pleasantly surprised. The price point is higher than you would pay for a normal soda, but I think that the novelty of the experience is worth it. If you plan on eating there, you have to eat on certain plates that are considered "dine in" and if you order to go and they "catch" you eating it there, then the food cart will be penalized. What the heck?! We can NEVER eat a full portion and 2 of us eat from different carts. To punish your carts is disgraceful! What is your goal here ?
