Tea-Rx is a location I pass on the daily. I have seen it multiple times but have never been intrigued to stop because I thought they only offered drinks. Much to my surprise they offer so much more than that! I decided to stop in on a Sunday for a post church lunch! There was only one other family eating lunch so there multiple places to sit! Upon entrance we were automatically greeted and asked if we were dining in or takeout. Upon sitting we were given water and a menu. We ordered the Tofu ramen, breakfast sandwich, and crepes. Everything was delicious and hot. I would come here again for crepes given not a lot of locations in Lakeland offer delicious crepes! The ramen wasn't the best ramen or breakfast sandwich I have had, but for the price and quality it was good. I wouldn't say the ambiance was authentic to any culture or cuisine; however, the restaurant was very clean and professional. Do not be fooled, as I was- Tea Rx is not merely just a nice little boba shop/ cafe to quick get a drink and head out (this is what I thought at least). You could certainly do that, don't get me wrong, but it's so much more than that! Tea Rx is actually basically a sit down restaurant that does of course serve up boba teas, along with an entire menu of food and other drinks. The menu here sports a crazy variety of items- bahn mi, rice dishes, ramen or udon, they have breakfast sandwiches and omelettes, quesadillas, and American things like burgers or a wrap. I chose to get a crepe, and it wasn't the best crepe I've had (there are some high standards there) but I still really enjoyed it. As for drinks, I thought the boba was pretty good. It was a soft and chewy texture just like it should be. Again, Tea Rx serves so much more than just this, though: they also make several types of smoothies, shakes, and even juices. This sweet little cafe really has it all. We also got the tempura shrimp appetizer and that was probably the best out of all we ordered. The shop itself is fairly small but very pleasant, and there's also outdoor seating. They'll serve you just like a sit down restaurant or you can go to the takeout register. All the workers were so smiley and friendly which makes the experience so much better. I'd probably rate them 4.5 overall, but it was positive enough to round it to 5 stars rather than down to 4. So glad this place showed on our yelp search. Looking for someplace to eat between breakfast and lunch. We stopped here and had great food and drinks. Very modern feel inside with super friendly staff. Big tables can fit larger groups as well. We had 3 varieties of boba tea (coconut, mango, cappuccino) and all were delicious. Also had a fruit shake that was so smooth and refreshing. We ordered burgers (Lakeland and BBQ Bacon) and 2 bahn mi sandwich's. Food was excellent. Oh my goodness, people! If you haven't tried this place, you need to! I was excited to try it, of course but they even exceeded my expectations!! I stopped in with my daughter for dinner and boba. We were welcomed right away by a super nice fella. He took our order and our food arrived really quickly. We met three people on staff and all were so friendly. It's so cute inside, too! You can sit inside or there's a little patio, as well. Here's what we ordered: Beef Empanadas for the kid-she said they were amazing!! She devoured them. Udon (chicken) for me- This is probably the best udon I've had in a long time. Boba tea- We each had one and both were so good!!! Chocolate Lover's crepe for dessert for the kid- Absolutely loved it! Amazing! Hidden treasure! This is now my favorite place to eat in Lakeland! Laura is so kind. Nice variety on menu. My son and I have gone twice in the past couple weeks and both meals were delicious! First visit, my son had udon noodle soup with chicken and I had TeaRx chicken wrap (teriyaki flavor). Bubble milk tea and mango green tea. Delicious! Second visit, omelettes! I had the pesto omelette with Vietnamese coffee. My son had the TeaRx omelette (mushrooms, onions, peppers, spinach, kale, and pepper Jack cheese) with coconut milk bubble tea. We each also had bacon, which was cooked perfectly! With all of the great reviews, I thought this would be love. They were out of the first item I ordered. The register fellow stood a foot away and made me feel pressured to order so I just went with a juice. By the time it was finally ready, I was running late. When I got to the car, I realized I was served room temperature juice. Within a few sips, I felt physically ill. $9 for a room temp juice and a stomach ache was not the way I wanted to spend a hot Florida day! read more

Food is always reliable and oh so tasty, the teas are delicious, and I can't get enough of the melon madness!!! But to be honest, they have something that you will not find anywhere anymore, and that is the friendly faces. I'm not sure if she is the owner, but the lady that is always there and takes our order is very nice, attentive, courteous, just a friendly face to finally have when at a food place. My kids love this place and the food as well as the teas. I recommend 100% and I'm glad the lady is so nice. Too many times we go out to eat at these places like subway and just places where you are now expected to leave a tip as if these workers do any kind of service that goes above and beyond just slapping some mayo on your sub and then have the audacity to get upset when you don't tip them. I'm all for tipping a server that does their job with courtesy and a smile, you know the people that don't make even minimum wage as their hourly pay because THEY live off of tips. But a sub shop worker is not that person. They make at least minimum wage and give attitude because they feel life did them wrong. I do tip sub shop workers when they have at least been courteous, but that's a whole other story. I will continue to support this place being that they check all my boxes. Genuinely the best hometown cafe i've ever been too. the building is a bit small but that just makes it feel nice and cozy. it's also spotlessly clean! the owners are extremely attentive and sweet. they seem to really care about the place and everyone that comes in.
