Back in the area again and was able to get by for my Thai fix. Had the same thing as usual as I had the Pad Thai and of course the Thai tea. I was later than normal as it was 7:30p. When I got there and the place was crowded by a table cleared as I walked in. Food was great and service was spot on as always. Great local place. Heard great things about this place and drove over an hour to eat lunch here with my party of 5. Was told at 1:20pm on a Sunday that the sushi bar was closed due to a "big" $1000 order and on top of that they couldn't promise the food would be hot at the moment. My niece picked this spot. I would have never chosen it as I didn't think I liked "Thai". The DUCK ROLL will bring me back and have me looking for Thai restaurants. It was delicious, I'm taking an order home with me!! I love duck. I ordered the Beef rice and my niece the dumplings and tempura shrimp. Both dishes were delicious. The place is really small 10 tables about 30 people inside. Tables for 2 or 4. It's spacious as you are not sitting on top of one another and your seat will not touch another chair. The Thai flat bread came with an incredibly creamy massamun curry sauce which was delicious. The triangles are identical to Roti and we're pan Friday to the perfect chewy crispy level. The date was tender and well flavored with a salty/sweet peanut sauce. The Pad See Ew was a little salty for me, but that's my personal preference, it's a soy sauce based dish and is salty by nature. The pineapple fried rice was delicious, it could've used a little more curry spice for my curry averse husband it was perfect. My group was more than happy with the food we got from Thai Oishi! We got sushi takeout and it was a great experience. You actually don't even have to go in the store to order and pay to go, you just wait at the table right by the front door and they'll come out to you. The lady who helped us was very sweet and helpful and we waited maybe 20 minutes to get our food which was not bad at all. I also love that this place is right in the middle of Lakeside Village and right by the center roundabout, so after we got our food we sat in the center of the roundabout and enjoyed the atmosphere and nice weather. The philly roll was classic and good. I think one of the other ones was a volcano roll and had all the crab or lobster salad on top and that one we all agreed was by far the tastiest. Also, the crab rangoons were BOMB- creamy deliciousness on your taste buds, wowza. So you know that this is a great takeout place, and we thought the inside of the store was small but cute and it seems like both are good options! read more

I was happy to see the Thai restaurant was open today. I looked at their lunch menu, which had lots of options, but decided to get my favorite soup instead. I ordered Tom kha gai and the tuna avocado salad. The soup was light and lemony. I went with a group of friends. The staff was super friendly and the area was average. It really wasn't socially distant from the other tables. The place seemed like every other Asian restaurant.. close tables and small walkways. The food was good. The Sashimi and steamed shrimp dumplings were pretty good! The spring rolls were very crunchy and the pad thai did not disappoint! The noodles were cooked well and the chicken was very flavorful! I was so full by the time the entree came out so I didn't get dessert. I was upset that they didn't offer boba tea but that's okay. I have to say that I've had Thai food from many places and find this place pretty good. The Thai food always tastes fresh. As far as appetizers, the ones I enjoy the most are the papaya salad and the roti cannai(Thai flatbread). The Tom ka gai soup is pretty good. The crab friend rice and Panang curry are excellent. They also have sushi which always tastes fresh. The drama queen roll is my favorite. They have a great tempura batter and the Mexican roll is also very good. It does get busy so you may want to avoid peak times to avoid the wait. It's a small restaurant, so even when it's busy, it doesn't get to loud, so it's a nice place to have an intimate dinner or catch up with friends. The service is usually good and always friendly. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant and is another one where I would try to work my way through their menu. read more

We had lunch there with our 2 babies and the kitchen staff constantly gave us ugly looks and rolled their eyes each time the baby cried. When approached them about the unprofessionalism, the "lead" (gentlemen) with the beard stated that it is our perception, because even the kitchen staff does that with his own child too. Since, it is a small restaurant and is family owned, they can act that way. He continued to defend their actions and said it's the workers rights to be acting that way. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND. Food was delicious and plentiful, service was great and the place was decorative, clean and casual.

The food has consistently been good every time we have eaten here. We have gotten curries, fried rice, sushi, curry puffs, gyoza, etc... The only issue I have is that now that they only accept online orders for to go and no call ins I have had numerous occasions where their sit crashes, fails to submit orders, has processing issues so I am unable to order. It is not my service causing the issue as I will try from computer, phone, on Wifi, off Wifi etc. If they are going to limit orders to only online they need to ensure a better site for ordering. read more

I had the Boston and dynamite roll, and my boyfriend had the tuna avocado roll and salmon maki roll. We also shared the sashimi lunch special. What a sweet spot!! I haven't had Thai food since living in Texas (2 years now) so this was a great welcome. I indulged in the coconut shrimp to start! (I actually may grab some to go soon) for the meal I snacked on some of the dragon roll which was delicious and for my main course the green curry with tofu and extra vegetables. UGH medium spice was perfect. Service was excellent especially considering one person is taking care of the restaurant (which is small). The supporting server helped make everything run smoothly. Great Tom Kha soup and Thai curry is very legit too! We've even tried their sushi too and really appreciated the fact that the sushi rice was NOT undercooked! Many sushi buffets will have undercooked rice, which is understandable given the large quantity needed, but never acceptable as it's very hard on your already taxed digestive system! I mean do you really need more stress on your health with everything going on? Luckily, Thai Oishi will take care of that. My friend and I were craving sushi and stopped at this little spot in the Lakeside Village town center. The sushi was very good. She got the California roll and I got the salmon roll. The dining area was very small and there was a wait for the sushi. However our dinner came out fairly quickly and the service was good. Everyone was very attentive but it was sometimes hard to catch their eye when servers were on the move. There was no Wi-Fi or music playing so there was a very quiet vibe. My beef udon was just okay but the fried rice was favorable. I don't think I would return because it didn't seem worth the price. read more

Why we like it: *We love the location. It's within Lakeside plaza and close to so many shops and the movie theatre. *The food tastes delicious and authentic and they have a great variety of both Japanese and Thai dishes so you're bound to satisfy your pan Asian palate desires. (My family is from Okinawa and their yakisoba recipe tastes very much like Thai Oishi's.) *The servers are always on point and polite and you won't have to wait long at all for your meals to be served. (My wonton soup came out fast, piping hot and had tremendous flavor). Now, what's not so awesome: *it's a very small space and it fills up quick! Especially on the weekends. Best advice is to arrive early before typical peak times to claim your table. *While it does offer great sushi rolls, we would love to see a Sashimi entree on the menu. Confusing as we didn't get the confirming email, and they don't take many phone calls. Love the adjustments on the HEAT level. Both entrees were very tasty and Crispy Spring Rolls were great with a citrusy dipping sauce. Garden Rolls were wrapped a little too loosely but were fresh and tasty.
