Went here for my daughter's birthday lunch. We ordered beef Kimbop roll, lettuce cups as an appetizer. They were delicious! For a meal I ordered the Almond Boneless chicken, wife got the Mongolian Beef, daughter ordered the general TSO chicken. All food was presented very well and had a great look to it and taste. We are long time customers and have always been happy with the food and service at Tea Tree. Something has changed. We ordered 13 rolls for our table. The Lava was simply awful. A gooey flavorless mess. The Shrimp (Tempura) was over cooked to a non existant crisp, and the soft shell crab was right behind it. Had to ask for plates, had to ask for chop sticks. Had to ask for ginger. Had to ask for wasabi. They brought out enough for one person. I am guessing their chef moved on. We managed through Covid together. They helped me through my skin cancer, and I needed more spice in my food so I could taste it. As a customer, you are expecting perfection, the Tea Tree family delivers. No business in food service is perfect every day. I know because I had a coffee house for 20 years in Perrysburg. Employee training, new chief, wait staff, etc. There are many parts to your experience. We have been customers for decades and have spent $1000's of dollars in food, dinning in and carryout. Went here for date night. I was shocked my wanted sushi and I was all on board. We sat at the bar and both bartenders we amazing! Great personalities and customer service. We asked for their recommendations and it didn't disappoint. You probably want to know what sushi we got and honestly don't remember. We ordered five rolls and not one of them were bad or less than the others. Two were the two bartenders recommendations. We did have the fried asparagus for an app it was awesome! Stopped for lunch before checking in to our getaway at Belamere. Restaurant is beautiful inside with comfortable seating and lots of open space. We ordered the won ton soup which was prepared differently than most. There was a beef broth and spinach and zucchini and mushrooms. Lots of pepper and lots of flavor. We each had a crab Rangoon and the filling was perfect! The entree we shared was almond chicken served with two servings of brown rice. I've been going here for years - since probably 2010/2011 at least. The major draw is their half-off sushi days (currently Tuesdays and Thursdays). Not all the sushi will be on sale (no special rolls) but you can get some amazing deals! I love the Alaskan roll and shrimp tempura. The mango roll is sweet, warm, and tasty. Had the Vietnamese roll with shrimp - eh, I've had better in Portland and other places. For $6 I wouldn't advise it. The house salad with dressing is good. I had the lemon lavender cocktail and honestly my friend and I couldn't taste the lavender - the whole reason I got it. It tasted good, but not for $10 (and was just a small wine glass). Service is usually good, but it depends how busy they are. Some complaints. But! Half off sushi is worth it, so I keep going. read more

We had a great time! The food was good and the prices were great. Our service was excellent and the atmosphere is beautiful. We were able to try a nice variety of sushi. We had eight rolls. There are delicious vegetarian options and vegan options as well. The lychee sake is a favorite. The only thing that I don't care for, this is my personal opinion, I don't like that the straw is in my drink when I get it. I prefer to unwrap my own straw, rather than someone else touching it. Have been curious about this place as it is on my courier route. Ordered on the phone for a pick up. Was told 15-20 minutes, which worked with my schedule. Ordered a sushi/sashimi bento box, simple, 3 pieces of each, soup and salad. Stopped to puck up 25 minutes later, order not done "they're working on it" restaurant is empty,a few people @ the bar. A half hour later.....finally done. A to go container, with the sushi/sashimi laid on top, mediocre hot and sour soup and a small salad. All that took almost an HOUR to prepare. And at a $45 price point, totally ridiculous. I enjoy great sushi all over the 419 and this place gets a scratch, never again. I stopped in before a comedy show and was able to try a few things on the menu. First things first, the service was excellent. They greet you at the door and make you feel welcome. 4 of us just returned from having lunch and ordered the special Sangria at $4. BUT-our server came to the table carrying four tall wine glasses full of red and white sangria. As he served one glass, the whole tray fell over onto the table and one of us. She was soaked with wine and her purse was flooded with wine. We stood and wiped off and sat at another table and were served fresh drinks. We all placed our orders and were served lunch entree. Food was good but I was very sad to see that we weren't comped our drinks. We were offered a dessert or 10% off our bill. We felt bad for our server and his attention to us was good. The restaurant was clean and bright. Management did not return to our table after this disaster. Our group meets weekly at local restaurants. My fiancé & I came here for our anniversary dinner. There was one other couple in the entire place at 430 on a Sunday. It felt like we had rented out the space & it was incredible. We started out with the Vietnamese Summer Rolls, they had good flavor & we enjoyed the 2 dipping sauces. Next up was the Bulgogi hotplate, exactly what I expected from a restuarant that is not authentically Korean. We followed that up with squid, tuna, & salmon sashimi. The sashimi cuts were great! We weren't a fan of the texture of the squid. We had surf clam, octopus, & eel nigiri...all 3 were great! We also had the Philly roll, spicy tuna maki, & the soft shell crab maki. All 3 were great! We loved the cream cheese in the Philly roll! I ordered 2 glasses of Cupcake Moscato & he ordered hot sake (he was thrilled because this isn't something you see often in Michigan). Onto our waitress, she was fantastic & I've sadly forgotten her name. I told her she was going to have to roll us back to Belamere & said said "Oh! I've gone here in the past (pre-pandemic) and it was decent. Maybe 4 stars, but not 5. Went back yesterday and everything was about the same with slower service and everything $5 more expensive. I'm the day, I could get a special sushi roll for $12-$14 now they hover around $20. I got the wonton soup and it was not what I was wanting. They tried to fancy it up to justify the $6 price point, but the wonton was lacking flavor and the broth was granular and tasted more like miso than chicken broth. Maybe I'm trashy, but I much prefer the way the local "hole-in-the-wall" Chinese place does it. I've had the other dishes in the past, and I've just been disappointed. Again, I'm disappointed, but now, I'm $100. If I'm going to get sushi here, better to come on half-off sushi night or go some place where paying $20 for sushi is worth it. read more

The average reviews of this place had me nervous but we were in the mood for sushi, and I saw that they had a half off deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays so we just decided to go for it. We ordered a bunch of hand rolls and nigiri/sashimi and I honestly couldn't tell you which roll was which but all of them were actually pretty good. I liked the rolls with the soft crab and shrimp tempura the best, and the stand out nigiri was the one wrapped in a soybean pod. We came in with reservations for a birthday party as a party of 7 at 7pm. What we didn't realize upon booking the reservation was that it was half off sushi-oops. Everyone loves saving money, but the intimacy and privacy were non existent, as was the service apparently. The place was packed- which is understandable given the bargain. Even with a reservation we had awful seats right by the door, it was cold and loud with too much foot traffic to enjoy the birthday "girl". Most of our food was underwhelming. The only exception was the crispy duck. Sadly, even though the place was hopping the food still tasted as though it had been sitting out quite a long time. And OLD tasting/looking sushi is never a good thing. The tuna in one of our rolls was quite gray. I was here once before 5 years ago or so and it was DELICIOUS. I hadn't been back since I no longer live very close and some of my fav Asian/sushi spots are minutes from my door. I was actually really excited about the choice for our birthday celebration. The staff did ZERO to acknowledge the birthday at the table, and we had to ASK for a birthday dessert. Who doesn't try to upsell desert to a table by giving the birthday girl something sweet??? The two stars are primarily for the duck and the decor OUTSIDE. My rowdy mister and mischievous daughter had a little too much fun on the elephants out front. The entire interior needs a bit of a spring cleaning. One of the decorative plates fell as we were being seated and it was DUSTY! Our menus had seen better days, dog eared paper under thin plastic on smudged binders. Our waitress was friendly when table side but MIA for much of our meal. They clearly were very understaffed for the dinner rush. We ordered a few appetizers to share but never got any small plates. Try eating lettuce wraps without a plate. We all sat with empty drinks for the majority of dinner. They missed the mark on service and food. I wouldn't be surprised if it took me another 5 years to come back. With so many great options in Perrysburg Tea Tree really should step up their game if they want to stay competitive in their market. read more
