Interesting concept. An Asian fusion spot offering bowls and tacos and such. It's always a little confusing what to order or even how to order. They have teas which I don't care for but they seem to be popular, I just don't like the texture of the tapioca. I just wish there was something that I craved to bring me back more often. read more

I have purchased many lunches and dinners in the Perrysburg store over the years for myself and my employees. The whole experience has been going down hill for awhile now, but my experience the last two times has caused me to stop going in the future. They were out of flour tortillas both times and no one asked if corn tortillas were acceptable. I get the food to go usually and didn't notice until I got back to work/home. In addition to being out of flour tortillas the SoHo tacos were awful. Skimpy portions and no cream cheese sauce was on any of the tacos. I always get wontons and last time there was 3 and not 4. I called back and the person answering the phone had zero ability to help me. So, I am done and will spend my money elsewhere. read more

Tried the tacos for the first time and they were delicious. Pick up order was uneventful, and frankly a forgettable experience. Sooo, that's good. Tacos come in two per order. We got two types and swapped out so we each got to try both kinds. Each one was different and we enjoyed each kind. I don't think you could go wrong with any kind you order. Balance will always be a favorite for me. They usually do a great job of building your bowls exactly how you like and use fresh ingredients. I have had issues in the past with orders taking long periods of time but this trip they were perfect! Food was orders ahead of time to pick up and it was ready right when we requested. The food was great and the portions are big enough for me to make more than one meal out of it which I love! I built my own bowl and had the blood orange bubble tea. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Balance. This is THE fast casual spot if you are in the Toledo area. The food is made with incredibly fresh ingredients and is always made to order. Balance has a wide array of flavor profiles in their bowl options and many different options for a starch base. I highly recommend getting noodles with whatever bowl you choose. They have smaller bites to try, as well as great bubble tea. The staff at Balance are always friendly and are very helpful. In addition to the many amazing flavors at Balance, you can order any item on the menu vegan. Plenty of room for indoor seating and they have a great mobile app for online ordering. The app itself speaks volumes. Most restaurants have a terrible app ordering experience. Balance however, does not. The app is super easy to use and they will bring the food to your car. read more

I used to be Balance's biggest fan since it's original Maumee location in 2012/2011 or so when they first started. Between this location and Central Ave, I've been going to both the last 1-2 years fairly frequently, and this location is definitely worse. The wait times are SO slow. I understand everything is freshly made, but every time I go (lunch or later in the evening) it is a 10-20 min wait in line to order and then another 10-20 min for my food. If I want to wait that long for food, I'd go to a nice sit down restaurant. Food quality...for all the Balance's I'm not sure if my taste buds have changed or the quality itself has. My friend agrees - we just don't like the food as much anymore. It's not terrible or anything. It's honestly good to decent food. But for some reason, most of the time it makes me feel gross afterwards, even though it's billed as healthy. I usually get chicken with lo me in noodles. Once I got the tacos and it was surprisingly too spicy, and I wasn't a fan. Again, maybe it's just me on food quality. But for the wait times alone, I definitely don't like this location. Plus, one tiny cup for water? That's a total jerk move for those of us who want pure hydration. To go to the tea bar and wait for them to refill tiny cups of water in between doing tea orders is such a pain. On the positive side- the employees here are very nice. read more

I don't like leaving bad reviews but I have to. Ive been patronizing the Perrysburg store now for some time and I don't know why. I order the same thing, Mongo Tacos with no Japanese Mayo. But over half of my orders (not making that number up) come with the Mayo. I think I am done. If you cannot follow directions/order, then what can you do? It makes me wonder what other things don't get done. Is health and safety up to code? It's just extremely frustrating. This has gone on for too long. read more

I think I am done with Balance. Ordered the Beef Four Star, the beef was extremely chewy, as it was in the last 2 orders I placed. The vegetables were good however but everything was Luke warm. This location has only one option to pickup your meal and the is to use text messages, if you don't have a smartphone forget about getting your order. I ended up calling the location and having to tell them what my car looked like and what parking number I was in... I figured that is why they ask for your car description on the app. Anyways, I got my 1:32 meal at 1:47, which more than likely accounted for Luke warm. Again I came here on my lunch break for work and it was beyond packed! I should of ordered online and came in to pick it up, will for sure remember that for the next time. The only issue with the restaurant being so packed is that there was not enough chairs inside to accommodate everyone. Came back yesterday. I'm not sure if it's just the cashier but everything kinda went downhill. I discovered they don't let you adjust your drink's sugar level (a big NO for me). The cashier the other day didn't tell me that when I asked him to cut the sugar down. But the drink tasted less sugary (probably in my mind). The food is amaze balls tho. We got the bang bang taco. It was good. The cream cheese wanton nothing too extraordinary about it. Just your average one. The ratio of the filling is good tho. AND our food came out as to go, even if we asked to dine in. I guess she likes extra trash. ‍ If they have more variety with their milk tea options (slushed etc.) and lets you adjust the sugar level, this place would be on the bottom list for milk tea. The butterfly tea makes for the best bubble tea I've ever had HOWEVER, there is no option for light ice. The first time I ordered here, I finished the drink in about two minutes because there was hardly any liquid. I couldn't even move my straw around because it was packed full of ice. A ripoff for $5 if you ask me. So, the next time I went, I asked for light ice. They said they're not allowed to do light ice because they have a specific recipe they have to follow, but I pressed them. They did it and it was wayyy better! It actually took me a bit to finish the drink. The next time, the guy totally gave me sass and sighed at me. Reluctantly, he did it but said he couldn't promise me the same taste because the recipe would be off. Every time I come, it's like pulling teeth to get light ice. I decided to try Balance after a glowingly recommendation from family. Oh my, they did not disappoint! I ordered more than I usually would -- just to give it a thorough try. Everything was delicious -- even the kids were happy! Our bowls were enormous. The five spice chicken poppers were a great addition to my otherwise vegan meal. I sampled the kids grilled chicken and it was packed with flavor. Bowls are under $9 and are a lot of food if you opt for rice or noodles. I was hesitant about the noodles -- but they are coated in something (maybe a sesame oil mix) and are delicious. Note: I started this review after my first visit and have been several times since. I love this place! It's consistently fresh and flavorful and I haven't had a single thing I didn't love. You choose the sauce and perfectly blanched veggies combo on your choice of carb (or greens) with your choice of protein. My favorite is the Sassy Me with fried rice and chicken breast. You also can't go wrong with the citrus Brussels sprouts appetizer. Without getting a bubble tea, meals stay around $10 which is perfect for this filling fresh meal. Lovely place. The food was extremely tasty, healthy, and fresh. The price was very reasonable for what I recieved. I enjoyed the WonTons. The checkout process was a bit confusing. Visited the Maumee, OH location yesterday. The menu looks small but, with all the ways to mix and match, guests have many options. The kitchen is sparkling clean as is the dining area.
