We came in with reservations for a birthday party as a party of 7 at 7pm. What we didn't realize upon booking the reservation was that it was half off sushi-oops. Everyone loves saving money, but the intimacy and privacy were non existent, as was the service apparently. The place was packed- which is understandable given the bargain. Even with a reservation we had awful seats right by the door, it was cold and loud with too much foot traffic to enjoy the birthday "girl". Most of our food was underwhelming. The only exception was the crispy duck. Sadly, even though the place was hopping the food still tasted as though it had been sitting out quite a long time. And OLD tasting/looking sushi is never a good thing. The tuna in one of our rolls was quite gray. I was here once before 5 years ago or so and it was DELICIOUS. I hadn't been back since I no longer live very close and some of my fav Asian/sushi spots are minutes from my door. I was actually really excited about the choice for our birthday celebration. The staff did ZERO to acknowledge the birthday at the table, and we had to ASK for a birthday dessert. Who doesn't try to upsell desert to a table by giving the birthday girl something sweet??? The two stars are primarily for the duck and the decor OUTSIDE. My rowdy mister and mischievous daughter had a little too much fun on the elephants out front. The entire interior needs a bit of a spring cleaning. One of the decorative plates fell as we were being seated and it was DUSTY! Our menus had seen better days, dog eared paper under thin plastic on smudged binders. Our waitress was friendly when table side but MIA for much of our meal. They clearly were very understaffed for the dinner rush. We ordered a few appetizers to share but never got any small plates. Try eating lettuce wraps without a plate. We all sat with empty drinks for the majority of dinner. They missed the mark on service and food. I wouldn't be surprised if it took me another 5 years to come back. I dined at Tea Tree Asian Bistro for the first time yesterday, and I will say that the sushi was phenomenal and the atmosphere was great, my mom had a great time for our early Mothers Day celebrations. Service was good, but I was a little put off by the fact that we dined at 1:15/1:30 which is normal lunch hours for most restaurants, I saw on their website they had a lunch special that would of been great for my mom, when I asked for the lunch menu our server said lunch hours were over. To be on time for lunch service next time, I checked their website today to see that lunch hours are from 12 to 3 pm Monday through Saturday. Maybe I will try to dine again hopefully with a different server that will offer us the lunch menu. read more

My husband wanted Peking duck but didn't want to wait to get it. So we went in to try the crispy duck. Wait staff was super friendly. The duck was good, but a little overdone. The bibimbop was incredible!!! The lettuce wraps were good. The sushi was awesome. They have a salmon skin roll that's fantastic!!! Highly recommend trying this place out. I was looking for a quick Asian meal in this part of Perrysburg so I came here. The decor was classy but the food didn't quite live up to it. My edamame (green soybeans in pods) were decently tender but the pods were a bit too saturated with sea salt; I know that salting the pods is de rigeur for edamame but no so much. The AAC (avocado, asparagus and cucumber) roll was only OK. I missed not having the seaweed wrapping I'm used to. The wasabe didn't have the kick I would expect (was it from a powdered mix?). The portion was also pretty small for the price. Halfway through the meal, I added some spring rolls. They proved to be the disappointment of the evening, cold in spots. This made me wonder whether they had been microwaved or had just sat too long before delivery. I would have complained but I was in a hurry. Most of my complaints could have been addressed with more attention to detail for the food (as opposed to the room). This would have raised my rating at least one star. read more

We just went here to use a Groupon and was not impressed. Not impressed at all. We ordered pad thai and two rolls. Let's start with the Thai... Tasted like it was pre-made hours ago and then heated in microwave... Soggy, no texture. Check out Bangkok kitchen or tasty thai before you get thai here. The rolls - we got the lover and the Atlantic something. The lover was fine - but I hope you wouldn't be able to screw up shrimp tempura. Atlantic - part of it was warm, part of it was cold - that's not normal, right?! The waitress was very nice. Nothing she could do about the food. I ate here for the first time last night. Ordered the Tokyo Blast roll, Vietnamese summer roll and shrimp lo mein. I was able to eat the food, so I wouldn't waste my money but none of it was very good. Sushi roll wasn't very flavorful, summer roll was just mostly iceberg lettuce and lomein was soupy with mushy noodles. The staff was nice but never again. read more

Good choice for a sushi date night in Toledo. They have an extensive list of sushi, including some creative albeit untraditional specialty rolls, that are always very fresh and tasty. A pro-tip would be to check them out on a Thursday night. They have half off sushi after 5 pm and half off bottles of wine! In addition, they have happy hour specials all week long including some great deals on appetizers. If you come between 5-6:30 pm on Thursdays you can double dip and have an awesome meal for a relatively inexpensive price! Tea Tree also has great service and a cool, relaxed atmosphere. I can't speak as much to their entrees as I've never had them, but for a sushi spot it's definitely worth a try! read more

LOVE this place. It has great sushi, great Korean food and great duck. The drinks are pretty good and the service is decent. I have gone here every Valentines day with my Husband, as well as on a few non holiday dates. We have gone with and without a reservation but I would highly recommend getting one. We had no wait with a reservation, not even on Valentines day. It is also in a good location, right by the mall and movie theatre and right across from a local coffee shop. read more

Good food, nice ambiance but great people here. I'll come if for no other reason but to support the owners who really have been awesome before and during the Covid crisis. The owners do lots of amazing community events and support local kids and families. That said, the food is quality, consistent, and they also have half off sushi on Tuesday and Thursday nights. The maki rolls have a bit too much cream cheese for my taste, but there are some rolls that fit my taste and all the sashimi and basic rolls are great. Got the groupon for this place and decided to go on a Monday night. Enjoyed the atmosphere and our waitress was very pleasant. Tuesday's and Thursday's half off select sushi and happy hour are huge draws for this place!! We came on a tuesday night with a reservation, and seated immediately. However, service was pretty slow- we got water in 5 minutes but didn't get to place drink orders til 10-15 minutes later. We then had to wait another 45 minutes for our food. Our server forgot to order one of our rolls so I had to wait even longer for it once the main plate of sushi came out. Overall everything was pretty good, we got a mix of nigiri and rolls and I liked the shrimp tempura roll! For two people, we had 5-6 rolls, a couple orders of the nigiri, and a drink for just over $50. The price was decent for the amount of food that we received but the service was so slow. read more

I have been there on different days at different times and the food is always good no matter which of the several Asian Cuisines you choose from on the extensive menu (also Vegan and GF options). Never coming back. Got seated in the bar area after waiting about 20 minutes to be seated (restaurant didn't seem too busy). Our server forgot to bring out a coffee to someone sitting at our table, and when he mentioned it to her a second time she told him to be patient, for she can only do one thing at once. I didn't catch her name, but she is a middle aged redhead. Our food took about an hour to come out. I ordered a platter that came with soup and salad and my sushi came out before I got my soup or salad, so I had to remind her to get those. She also didn't give us silverware or chopsticks and we had to ask a nearby worker. Food wasn't bad, but also wasn't worth the wait. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Hi, Tea Tree- You're doing it wrong. They advertise half-price sushi on Tuesday and the place gets jam-packed. Then the staff can't handle how busy they are and leave customers waiting for-ev-er just for someone to acknowledge their presence. Well, if you want a drink, you will probably have to wait for the bartender to wash one for you. I actually saw the bartender take several minutes washing glasses before actually making the drink that the girl next to me ordered. A woman, who I assumed to be the owner, was openly yelling at servers and bartenders in front of the customers sitting in the bar area, which was really, REALLY awkward. I sat for awhile before being asked if I was ready to order. I got an iced tea, which came from the little hose thingy they use at bars. Ew. Gross. I kind of expect an Asian restaurant to have good tea, not something sprayed from a hose. (Is that profiling?! Aw, no.) I took my time ordering, well, I guess I had to, because when I wasn't ready, it took him a long time to get back to me. I ordered the French Kiss roll and the Red Dragon roll. Meh. They were decent, the Red Dragon was lots better than the French Kiss, and I actually thought they were rolled kind of sloppily, (I've actually just started to critique this since I've taken two sushi rolling classes!) they kept falling apart. They were just not THAT good, even at half-price I found them to be middle-of-the-road. The girls next to me actually managed to order something (at a sushi restaurant, mind you) that came out OVERCOOKED. OVERCOOKED?!?! SUSHI?! Oh, dear, my head asplode. They offered to get them a new order...which never showed up. *sigh* Okay, I was already down to 3 stars and then the REAL debacle happened. I got my check. OH SNAP! Turns out some of the rolls are NOT half-price during half-price sushi! Why didn't anyone tell me?! I had other rolls that I could've chosen! Now my check is nearly $40 for some hose tea and couple mediocre rolls. I was pretty frustrated, the patrons around me encouraged me to talk to a manager, which I did, and the bartender fessed that he didn't mention it to me. He told me he was sorry a few times. Then, a couple minutes later, the manager came back and told him to give me the rolls for half price, though he'd already run my card. Man, I was frustrated. The manager then tells me that there might be a hold on my card for the amount, but that it wouldn't actually go through. I will be watching that charge like a hawk. Having exhausted nearly all of the Asian eatery options in Toledo, my parents and I decided to take a jaunt to Levis Commons to check out Tea Tree Asian Bistro. Greeted by only two other tables, an inkling of doubt crossed our minds despite the impressive interior design of the restaurant. The hot & sour soup, while great for a cold day, was very much on the peppery side. As for our entrees (lava chicken, szechuan jalapeno chicken, and mongolian beef)? All onionized beyond belief. And while I'm on the subject of entrees ordered, I'll also point out the fact that they have violated the first rule of Asian dining: skimping out on rice. A big no-no, fyi. The consensus? Here's the deal... I kind of upped my rating to 4 stars for their service. However, I have been to this restaurant a dozen or so times and the first time I was inclined to comment on the service was after dining here twice this week. I had a really special server (actually she was the bartender). The first time I came into the restaurant this week, I was miserable. I just had my wisdom teeth pulled. I was having trouble eating a lot of things. I would normally get tired of "trying to eat" long before I was full. And Hungry Julie = B$&#^y Julie. I was having a hard time deciding what I could eat. The bartender went through the whole menu with me and made suggestions based on my constraints. I ended up getting a few appetizers which were all good. Nothing totally outstanding, but getting chicken lettuce wraps and just eating the chicken mixture without the lettuce (where everything was already cut up into small pieces) allowed me to finally have a full sized meal. I returned later in the week with a co-worker who was also impressed with the bartender's service and friendliness (and the hot & sour soup). The bartender even inquired how I was feeling, how my mouth was and also remembered my order from my first visit in the week. Quick note on food: Every time I come here I have to get the Hot & Sour soup (my favorite thing at this restaurant) which is off the charts good. I have also had some really good scallops here. Most disappointing lettuce wraps I've ever had. If it hadn't been takeout I wouldn't have paid for them. It was iceberg lettuce, not romaine as stated on the menu....which wouldn't have been a huge deal if it hadnt been wilted and nasty as well. The "chicken" in the dish is almost non-existent. Tea Tree is my favorite Asian place in Northwest Ohio. Since it opened, I've tried dozens of menu items from a variety of sushi and lettuce wraps to pad thai and pork fried rice ... my top 4 items on the menu.The super spider roll offers an amazing burst of flavor with a little kick. The decor is sumptuous, just made for indulging with as many friends as you can rustle up. I think management set up 1/2 Price Sushi Night on what is normally a quiet dine out night: Tuesdays. It paid off. Half price sushi night is worth the wait! Or, like I recommend, make reservations a day or 2 ahead. The hostess taking my reservation has always been gracious to remind me when 1/2 price serving begins - I usually make my reservation 15-30 minutes before 5 to beat the onslaught. I'm not a snob by any means but being in Marketing, I appreciate attention to decor and aesthetics, good customer service, presentation and, of course, amazing food. Sure, there's been an occasional 3-star situation but for the last 4 or so years, it's been fairly consistent 5-star treatment. To naysayers, I suggest try a day besides bum rushing the half price sushi night. Trust me, you'll have a pleasant experience. :-) read more

We have been loyal Tea Tree customers since they opened in Perrysburg, and while they have been going downhill, we have continued to try and support them. Lately, it is simply getting too difficult. Food is rather expensive, and quality has been steadily declining. Too often we go for sushi, and the freshness is just not there. Also, in all the years they have been open, there have only been minimal additions to the menu. The last straw finally game the other night. We stopped for a drink at the bar - 1 hour before closing time. The bartender was moping the floor, after we sat down, he continued to mop and clean up!!!! Sorry, but stopping in what is supposed to be a nice restaurant for a drink while the bartender mops the floor around you is not the atmosphere I want. Quite an enjoyable pan Asian restaurant in the Toledo area. I went with my brother and nephew for dinner. On Tuesdays, their sushi rolls become half priced so we decided to check it out. We ordered 4 rolls: California (tasty), white tuna (average), Alaskan (our favorite!), and salmon. That was just the right amount of food for my brother and me to split. My nephew on the other hand is a picky eater so thankfully they have a kids menu with things like chicken tenders and macaroni (which is what he ordered). The tenders were good, what you would expect from a standard chicken tender. The fries were 1 step above cardboard when they weren't fresh from the fryer. The macaroni looked like they opened a box of Kraft and then served in on their plate. Moral of the review: get the Asian food at the pan-Asian restaurant and you won't be disappointed ;) read more

On Tuesday nights, they have half off sushi after 5 pm so we went there to try it. The ambience was nice. As for the sushi, it was ok. They don't offer any miso soup or salad when you order sushi. The sushi was decent and the prices weren't bad, especially at half off. The spicy tuna was the spiciest that I've ever had! So if you don't like spicy things, beware that it IS very spicy! We got a couple specialty rolls that weren't on the half off menu and I was a little disappointed. They were double the price but I couldn't figure out why because there was nothing special about them. Overall, I would say that their rolls are average- they don't have any specialty rolls that stick out. But definitely worth a trip for half off sushi! read more

Worst experience ever! my husband and I went to dinner we first ordered appetizers I ordered the king crab salad and he got the egg drop soup. My salad tastes like pure fish and his soup wasn't edible. We waited for our waitress about 15 minutes before she would even show up. We ordered our sushi and she again went missing...I had to tell another to tell her to separate the raw sushi from the cooked since I can't have raw. She didn't show up for 25 MINUTES! I timed it our drinks weren't even refilled until our food came! sushi came and it was gross lol I always eat sushi but even my husband hated it we had left overs and didn't even take them home! We had to go watch a movie next door and where is our server...missing again! Ordered the lobster bomb - rubbery lobster meat obviously had been frozen and thawed in a microwave. . Vietnam rolls were, ok. But don't waste your money on them. Shrimp dish was similar to lobster app. Rubbery shrimp. Again frozen . Grand chicken was favorable. Peanut butter pie was a disgrace for sure . Again frozen and then thawed in microwave. And very expensive. No drinks - still cost more than the place in fallen timbers with the horse out front (can't mention the name here). I understand on the bright side that going on half price sushi night is good. I guess half of expensive sounds good. Otherwise, in my opinion, spend your cash elsewhere. read more

Terrible sushi and terribly over priced. I have eaten here twice now and regret both times. Today I ordered carry out got 2 basic rolls for a total of $26 and when I got home not only were they both warm but the bottom of the box was covered in wasabi and therefore so were both of my rolls. This really irritated me because I watched the hostess inspect the order before packaging and sealing it up for me to take home. When I called to complain, I was told I can drive it back there for them to remake it or I could get this amount credited to my next order. So Disappointing, go to Nagoya instead! read more
