Sushi bar

Went here for my daughter's birthday lunch. We ordered beef Kimbop roll, lettuce cups as an appetizer. They were delicious! For a meal I ordered the Almond Boneless chicken, wife got the Mongolian Beef, daughter ordered the general TSO chicken. All food was presented very well and had a great look to it and taste. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very clean and has a good ambience, I also really like the music they were playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely will be back soon hopefully for dinner tonight .

1/2 off Sushi Thursday.

Food: Fresh. I don't think the 1/2 deal should have so many stipulations in my opinion. Also, not enough Tuna options. Service: We lucked out and got the manager as our server tonight and she was delightful. Ambiance: Lighting is great. The music could be more on point.

Stopped for lunch before checking in to our getaway at Belamere. Restaurant is beautiful inside with comfortable seating and lots of open space. We ordered the won ton soup which was prepared differently than most. There was a beef broth and spinach and zucchini and mushrooms. Lots of pepper and lots of flavor. We each had a crab Rangoon and the filling was perfect! The entree we shared was almond chicken served with two servings of brown rice. A perfect lunch to start our Anniversary weekend celebration!

This is a great place to go for sushi and drinks. They've got a lot of seating inside and offer outdoor dining in warmer months.

Food is basically just way over priced Panda Express but the serving sizes are smaller.

We started with some tuna sashimi and a rainbow roll. They were delightful! Then we all shared some hot sake and wow was it delicious! I was very impressed with the flavor and the price of our food and drinks. Great spot for sushi and drink even though it's know for the hibachi!

Specifically inquired before ordering and was told center cut and 2 oz more. When they went to cook it, we ordered all 3 medium rare. The cook put all 3 steaks together on the hibachi and cooked them to medium- bordering on medium well done. Then he divided the steak up between the 3 of us giving 1 person a few more pieces I guess because it was the Imperial. I advise you to skip the Imperial as it's not the center cut filet mignon. When the bill came and they boxed left overs up, they offered yum yum sauce which we asked for. Was given empty containers, never came back with sauce. Wasn't acknowledged by the 3 women at the desk when we left. All in all average. Not friendly, but not rude. Just indifferent, and not overly attentive. My son does

If your eyes are sensitive you might have issues as where we sat, all the lights were doing the slightest flickering causing me to have to wear sunglasses the whole meal. However, the food was AMAZING. The sushi was so fresh and tasty with the smallest amount of rice I've ever seen on a sushi roll. I'll be coming back!

It was good timing as there were only a couple tables filled. Took a while for us to arrive at a decision as Tougen has soooooo many great choices. We ordered Miso Soup as a starter - some of the best we've had. We also ordered some Specialty Rolls: All In; 381; and Crazy Dragon. All In - Shrimp tempura, tuna, salmon, spicy crab, mango, cream cheese, and avocado. Eel sauce, spicy mayo, crunch and fish roe. 381- Spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, and crunch. Topped with a layer of tuna and avocado. Eel sauce, spicy mayo and crunch. Crazy Dragon - Spicy crab, cream cheese, and avocado. Topped with spicy tuna and jalapeño and seared. It took an inordinate amount of time for our food (30+ minutes), especially when there were only 2 other tables and 2 take out orders. Not like Tougen at all. The food was delicious as usual...

Insane gem in Toledo. I do have to say "no, SERIOUSLY" when I talk about this spot to friends and…read moream generally met with (understandable!) skepticism that sushi in the Midwest could be so phenomenal. 6/5 stars. The omakase is a must experience for any foodie and especially for anyone who loves sushi & yakitori! Came here for the first time 4 years ago, and again a few weeks ago. What struck me is that the same head sushi chef was there then and now and that they haven't really changed the menu too much. Yes absolutely there were new and creative twists, but there are tried and true staples which have been mastered. That feels like their vibe overall - friendly, neighborly, confidence in what they have and will keep doing what they're doing, seemingly resisting any pressure to expand or get bigger. It's perfection! The omakase menu has three phases: chef's kitchen, yakitori, sushi (gorgeous nigiri courses finished with the most insane cut roll I've ever had). Everything is delicious. No misses. My favorite phase is the sushi. We STARTED that off with the most melty buttery otoro. I thought that was bold, surely it could only go downhill from there. I was proved wrong bite after bite!! Seriously, imagine a series of nigiri bites that hold their own after the BEST. Of the yakitori, the chicken meatballs were my fave, so juicy never change. Highest quality, well crafted, expertly executed menu. Lowkey I also love that this omakase ends with the most delicious cut roll, and not dessert. As a savory girl through and through, this is perfect. The onlyyyy downside is that all the rich food gives me a bit of a stomachache afterwards :D. 10000% worth it.

Had I had come a minute later there wouldn't have been a table. The fish tasted really fresh. One thing that caught me off guard was the ambiance. It had more of an American pub vibe w very little Asian decor, atleast from what I saw. Also just a tad bit over priced, would I come back? Maybe. This was the most expensive sushi in the city but quality is there.
