We bought a patio table and chairs in 2020. It HAD a grey finish. After it rained I dried it off with a big towel. After a while I noticed that the finish was coming off. I thought that maybe it was part of the look that the table was supposed to get over time. Well now its been 3 years outside and if I wipe down the table to dry it the finish wipes off. I contacted customer service and they implied that I used a pint stripper to try and refinish the table. NOPE! This is how it looks but they clearly don't believe me. There is nothing I can do but try and refinish it now. This is all rain damage that should not happen like this. UPDATE: Two days after submitting my review, a very nice customer service person from Teak Warehouse contacted me. They were very concerned about the finish coming off and ended up sending me a special stain that they recommend I use to make the table look new again. I will try it this weekend and post picture as to how it turned out! Thanks for good customer service Teak Warehouse! UPDATE #2 So I just finished putting one coat of Golden Care on the table. WOW! We went to buy a teak bench, prices are pretty high compared to other places. We ended up choosing what we wanted and went to order it. The moment we decided to use their overpriced delivery service the salesman's attitude changed dramatically which we decided just to ignore. 3 weeks later when we came to pick up the bench the salesman barely agreed to help me lift the bench and put it in my car (it is a big bench but not too heavy for two people), he mentioned of course this is what they have delivery service and left before the bench was appropriate in the car. Consumers are the most valuable component of every sales business yet often undervalued! I want customers to be wary of companies who offer ONE YEAR WARRANTY on furniture because if the quality was great then why offer only one year. FYI the furniture industry standards state high quality furniture should last between 7-10 years. Now I am the one stuck having to pay for 8 new chairs to replace 3 damaged. We bought a patio table and chairs last month, based on the online catalog. Since the shipping to the Bay Area is expensive, we picked them up on a trip to LA. I was really impressed - surprised, actually - at the high quality of the workmanship. I've seen lower quality furniture from other companies being sold at twice the price. We arranged our pickup with Eduardo, the warehouse manager, via email. They had the furniture waiting on the loading dock when we arrived, and offered to load it into our car for us. The folks at the warehouse were a pleasure to deal with. Folks, I'm an architect and former woodworker, and I know quality stuff when I see it. This worth every penny. Knowing this now, I would have paid the extra $500 to ship it if I hadn't been going to LA - even with that charge, it's better than what I saw for the same cost in several outdoor furniture stores here. read more

I purchased patio furniture from this place, and although the furniture itself was good (hence the one star) their disrespectful customer service and false advertising left me no desire to ever come back. They advertised free cushions with purchase but when I asked for my set, not only did they never give them to me, the sales rep treated me with a disrespectful attitude that made me feel I was bothering them and had made it all up. I even have a screen shot of their website to prove it! I hope this was just an unfortunate rare occurrence, again, they do have good quality furniture but a company should stand by what they advertise and certainly not make a customer feel like a nuisance. Read the signs .....All Sales Final! This warehouse store does not seem to be very flexible nor interested in making sure I was happy with my purchase! I tried to cancel part my order and was told by the General Manager in Los Angeles Eduardo that No Refunds was a store policy! I asked him that since the furniture had NOT shipped why can't you just refund the things I changed my mind on and his response .....I cannot do that it is a store policy! So store policy is more important than a happy satisfied customer .......how difficult is it to refund an item that has NOT been shipped?? We bought a teak daybed and corner end with cushions and told the salesman Brian that we wanted exactly what was in the store. When he rang us up, it was $100 more than on the ticket. Brian said that was because the daybed or corner did not come with the end cushion and it would be an additional $100. Brian agreed to waive the delivery fee because the posted price was less than what he charged us for. He said it would take 4-6 weeks. After 9-1/2 weeks, it was delivered without the end cushion we paid for. Brian now claims we didn't pay for it. read more

I ordered a picnic table the first week of June.  A couple of emails saying "Oh, we forgot to add tax, etc. so it will be this much more."  I said okay, then I have to fill out a credit card form.  The expected delivery was 2 weeks to ship and 25-30 days for delivery.  They charged my card the first week of June.  That seemed pretty good as would think that meant that is was made and getting ready to ship.  Nope.  Here we are the last week of August and still no notice of shipping.  They always blame the freight companies.  I don't give a hoot about "white glove" delivery, just delivery.  The ridiculously overpriced ($800 for a picnic table and benches) "white glove" shipping is not optional either.  I will update if and when I receive the table read more

Love the furniture, but shipping and customer service departments are frustrating to deal with. The sales team has always been pleasant. We've bought from Teak Warehouse several years ago as well, and had shipping issues/delays on that order as well. The latest order was a worse experience due to damage on some of the furniture delivered. The cushions delivered had damage to the fabric - a stray sewn line right across the top of both pieces (different chairs). When I unwrapped the plastic off the cushions (after the delivery guys left), I saw it immediately. Jaden acknowledged that their entire batch in the color we ordered had the same mistake. My wife tried resolving with Jaden but he wouldn't respond to her on the damaged chairs. read more

Going with the lower price at times can be a mistake, but not in this case. As a starting point, we bought a large table with 10 chairs. The pricing was substantially less than their competitors but I found Mike (the owner) to be knowledgeable and very helpful in discussing the options so I took a chance and I am glad I did. The table we had hoped for came on time with very minor assembly, which as I read at other sites was a big downside. Not though with this company. The quality of their tables and chairs are fantastic. Sturdy, well put together and soft to the touch....really, you can't ask for better quality. The 5 Stars is because Mike took a personal interest in solving a chipped leaf issue. Admittedly, it was minor but I wanted the table to be perfect. He paid for the shipping back of the leaf and promptly sent me a new one that I was able to replace into the table with 4 small screws. Now everything is perfect with our set and I must tell you to not have any reservations re quality or service from Teak Warehouse. I found this place online while looking for a teak bar height table and chairs. Their website was pretty good and represented their products well. Today, I stopped by the warehouse to look at the products first hand. What a great showroom! The staff was helpful, definitely not pushy, and up front about their products. I liked the ability to sit in all the different styles of chairs they had, and it was easy to compare options because all the different types of chair are very close to each other. I ended up buying a bar height table and two chairs, instead of paying for delivery the manager help me load my car and provided tie downs and blankets to secure my lift gate. It took two trips to get everything home, but I'm loving this furniture on my deck! read more

Last year we bought a beautiful patio set with an aluminum table. After the one year warranty expired the paint began to fail on the table. ordered a table in late may, order was processed and paid sooner after, request was made to have table by july 4th weekend. no guarantee was made, but was told every attempt would be made to have it to us by then. they in fact shipped it out quickly. once it arrived was contacted by their shipping company(american west) and was told we would have to wait a couple weeks before they were "in our area". needless to say, we did not have table in time. so today i called to give them a heads up that perhaps they should reconsider their shipping vendor. the table shouldn't be sitting in their warehouse. the woman i spoke to told me that maybe she can call and get it there a day or so sooner, but that was it. i suggested they partially refund my $800 shipping cost. she said she would absolutely not do that. i remained cordial and calm but she however felt it appropriate to JUST HANG UP ON ME! in all the years i've been talking to customer service representatives, i have never had one hang up on me, especially after having spent $4000. fingers crossed the table will make up for the appalling experience i had with their employee. read more

Walked in here today with a $4,500 budget for an outdoor dinning set. The selection is great, quality product & we are in a time crunch, so convenient. The gentleman working was less than helpful. Very apathetic, short answered and unfriendly. Yelling from across the warehouse. Preface this with: my husband was in beach bum wardrobe and I was very casual myself. I am in sales and will not give poor customer service my money. Needless to say we U-turned out of here quickly. I bought a teak trestle dining table through my designer a few years ago. It had a grey finish that washed off with water. No-one at TW can tell me what it was, and I've spent $$$ trying to replicate it. All the mgr. could say is, "My bench weathered beautifully." ....well my table didn't. They asked me if I wanted a referral to someone to restore the table at my expense of course. Short of painting it there's not much that can be done. We bought all our outdoor teak patio furniture here about 6 years ago. About 15 pieces total. It is still in perfect shape, looks beautiful. We did two things - we put a coat of teak oil on it as soon as we got it home - to maintain the original brown color, I am not a fan of the silver color that it will turn. We also keep covers on the furniture. After 5 years we noticed a tiny bit of silver on some pieces so we pressure washed them with a $100 pressure washer and they looked brand new - applied another coat of teak oil and they look like the day we brought them home. Excellent quality, durable, comfortable. If you are buying a couch or chairs - make sure to sit in them all, one of the more expensive lines has a slight upward tilt to them which makes them so much more comfortable. When we asked why one set was more comfy than another - we were shown how the manufacturer angled the seat about 1/2 inch upward - wow what a difference. Take your time choosing and you will be rewarded with the most comfortable patio furniture ever. I appreciated that the employees leave you alone and let you explore - but they are there when you have a question. Highly recommend. read more

I'm laughing at the reviews of horrible customer service as it was exactly what I experienced. Unfortunately, Eduardo is a huge problem in dealing with customers and I am not surprised by the consistent negative feedback. I went recently (in a mask), arrived to a warehouse empty of customers, and upon arrival got yelled at for not following the covid protocol (I went in the wrong door apparently), by Eduardo. After that, he apparently decided he hated me for breaking entrance protocol, although no signage was posted outside implying which door was the appropriate door and once yelled at, I did go to the correct door. From there I was told by Eduardo that I didn't follow the rules, and I didn't have an appointment so I was making his life very difficult by trying to look for furniture there. I asked if I could browse for 15 minutes while the store was EMPTY until the next client turned up, and was told that it was very difficult to do that. I informed him that I had a lot of money to spend there - I need a new 10 person dining table, chairs as well as outdoor living room furniture. Eduardo told me he didn't want my business if I can't understand his rules, so I left. I UNDERSTOOD the rules, but he made little to no effort to make it work for me to enter the store. I'm surprised about what the other reviewer said about them repairing his steamer chair after 9 yrs? I bought a dining table from them about 5-6 yrs ago when they sold out of their warehouse off Miramar Rd. Little did I know, there were preexisting cracks in my "high quality" grade A teak table, which they filled in with wood filler/epoxy. As my table oxidized into gray, you can see the wood filler which remained tanned. Now the cracks have extended, and the table is starting to come apart. I called them see if they could rectify this problem. I sent them pictures. First the regional manager denied it was their table, then they said it was too old (I leave it outside, live near ocean, so the oxidation gave it a really gray look; but sanding it would easily get the original tan surface back). They would get back to me. After a couple weeks, they said "with the age of the table and condition there was nothing" they can do it. They told me to go buy my own wood filler at home depot, fill the cracks, sand it, and apply a c-clamp while its drying. Granted, their prices are reasonable, but the quality I'm not so sure. Caution - when you are buying products from them - look closely at the wood - there maybe preexisting cracks in their grade A teak that are filled in by wood filler. Ask about their warrantee for defective products too. Good luck!! read more

The other review here surprises me. Here's my experience. I bought a teak reclining chair (I think they call them "steamers" -- they look like something you'd see on a ship) and loved it. I had it for about 9 years until one day someone who weighs about 250 pounds sat on it and the seat part of it split down the middle. Since I had kept it outside the whole 9 years without ever doing any maintainence on it I didn't find this particularly surprising, though maybe I was being too easy on them. In any event, I went to buy a new one and while the guy was ringing it up I happened to mention why I was buying a new one. He said you don't have to do that just bring your old one in and we'll fix it for you. I did, and they didn't charge me anything, even though they put in a brand new part for the seat. I think it's quite rare to find a place that will stand by its products like that (and pass up on what if memory serves would have been about a $300 sale), and I for one will certainly go back there. As I said, I find the other review odd. Maybe the Manhattan Beach location has better management than the Fountain Valley one. I personally thought they were great. Btw, if you get the steamer, make sure you get the pad. It makes the chair, which I've always found to be extremely comfortable. read more

I was blown away by the selection and quality at Teak Warehouse. We have a small patio and were looking for a table and chairs that are a little smaller then normal. They had meany options to choose from and once we decided on the right table, the friendly staff help us move our favorite chairs to the same area so we so could test sit the chairs at the table we had selected. We drove home with a table and chair, and have three chairs on order. I think we selected the only chair in the store that they didn't have at least 4 of, but they have told us it would take one week or less for deliver. That's less time then any other options we looked at. read more

Great place. I looked everywhere for outdoor furniture, and I was really having trouble finding something. My problem was that EVERYTHING, everywhere, was expensive; however, a lot of it didn't even look like it was that high quality. Teak Warehouse also has expensive stuff, but it's such high quality that I know I'll have it for 30 years. For an investment like that, I'm willing to spend the money! read more

we ordered teak furniture on March 25th. we were told that the furniture would be delivered in 10 to 14 business days. Have this in writing. the first problem was that the delivery company did not pick up our furniture on the the 29th. this is a resultant 4 day delay right off the bat. on April 8th i called the warehouse back to get an update. i was told that i needed to wait for the 14 business days. i called back later that week and got the phone number to the freight company and was told that my furniture would be delivered between Wednesday and Friday. just was not say which Wednesday to Friday. called the warehouse back AGAIN on the 18th, 14 business days from the date of pickup. spoke with the general sales manager. was told that my furniture was in Dallas TX. I live in North Carolina. on Monday, i spoke with the sales manager AGAIN. still no update as to when i would get my furniture. i was PROMISED that the Sales Manager would call me this morning (Tuesday the 23rd) with delivery information. when my husband got i asked him to call ans find out what was going on ad why a promise that was made was broken. as it stands right now, we are being told it should be here next week. Wednesday to Friday. we have heard that before. at this point i am very displeased, and i have not even seen the furniture yet. read more
