We were looking for a sturdy and attractive round patio table to sit next to our pool, and decided to try California Patio. We were helped by Austin. We found an ideal table, and it looks terrific beside our pool. However, we also made a couple of impulse purchases, which is very unusual for us. We bought a fire pit, as well as an outdoor patio set comprising two chairs and a three-seat sofa. Austin warned us that the cushions on the display sofa were slightly undersized, and consequently there was a fairly large gap when you sat down. He assured us that new cushions were going to be made, that would fit perfectly. He offered to let us take everything home, so we could start using them immediately, and for the new cushions to be swapped out in about 3 weeks. It took a week or so longer than that, but sure enough new cushions were made, and they fit perfectly. Definite 5 stars, for the store and for Austin. read more

I would like to comment on Brad's false accusations he made in his message. Firstly, Brandon in the Encinitas store found my name and the umbrella I specially ordered from California Patio in their system . Yes, that was me that went into the Encinitas store and not some imposter, lol. Second, I went to the Encinitas store to inquire about a broken tilt button on my umbrella. Yes, Brandon quoted me a price of 2k for a new frame, I am not lying. Third, you claim I put my umbrella up in the wind and that is why the tilt button is broken. That is false! I've had my umbrella in storage and there is no way I would put my umbrella up in the wind. At this point, I don't care about the broken tilt button. I don't know how it happened. All I wanted was to have it repaired. I do care how this business manager /customer service treats their customers . My boyfriend & I went in looking to purchase some fire glass for my outside fire pit. There was a guy and a girl sitting behind a desk, no customers in the store, but they didn't bother asking if we needed any help nor how they might assist. After looking around the store, I walked up to the desk, told them I liked the fire glass that they had in one of the displays and asked to see their fire glass choices. They had some great color selections, but they didn't have what I needed in stock. The guy said that he would order it from another store and it would be available the next day. He asked me to pay for everything at that time, even though I was leaving empty-handed. The next day I called the store and left a message (on their 1990's style answering machine) asking them to call me and verify whether not my fire glass had arrived. They never returned my call. The following day, my boyfriend went in to ask about the fire glass. The guy told him that it never arrived, so he just gave him what he had on one of the displays. He then told my BF that he hadn't called me back because he didn't know when the fire glass would be coming in. What kind of customer service is that? At least return my call and tell me that you don't know when it's coming in so that I don't have to sit around and wonder what's going on. I'm really ready to purchase quality patio furniture. They have a nice selection and lovely pieces. Looking for interested sales staff who want to help you. Don't bother coming here! Two reps were working...neither had customers. However, both didn't bother to greet me. I first asked the woman sitting by the window about how a specific brand held up next to the ocean. Her response: "Well, it's powder coated!" I replied that I really liked it...but not one other response or moment of help form her. I asked another sales rep for help on the tile tables. He handed me a set of samples and basically said here's what you can order and walked away. I waited awhile for him to come back...I couldn't find so I finally left the store. read more

Shopped for new outdoor set here - priced costco online but so much better seeing and sitting in real life. Chanelle (a trained and college degreed specialist in interior design)was wonderful to work with - good recommendations and she listened well to what we were looking for in price and style. They were having a sale - so we felt pretty good about the prices, and the warranties are really solid. No cheap throw away furniture here.
