During that time, I noticed our food had actually been sitting there melting while we continued waiting. Two young employees were working. One was on her cell phone chatting with a friend, and both of them were eating and hanging out with friends while customers were waiting. When I finally stood up to look around for our order, it was clear the food had just been sitting there. When I addressed it, the response I got was simply that they were "busy with orders." I've worked in hospitality for 16 years, and being busy does not excuse ignoring customers, being on your phone, or letting food sit there melting while people wait. What made it worse was that when my daughter and I decided to leave, the employees laughed as we walked out the door, which was incredibly unprofessional and honestly just disrespectful. There was no supervisor on duty, and when I asked for contact information for a manager, they didn't have any. That alone is concerning. I understand that everyone has off days, but this level of lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic customer service is unacceptable -- especially for food that isn't cheap. I really hope management sees this and addresses it, because this experience definitely didn't reflect the kind of service customers should expect.
